The Martians

A/N: Okay but look at him. I couldn't resist making that his new look. Dicon Jimin is EVERYTHING.

~Two Days Later || 10:04~

"Mmm, baby..."

"Shut up, Min!" She giggles, playfully smacking his chest.

"Mmm, but you're my fiancée now," he whispers, keeping his hands on her hips.

"Stiiill, you're trying to seduce me at ten o'clock," she says with a whine.

"Is it working?" Jimin asks.

"Only a little bit." A little bit? Oh, Jimin can change that really fast. His lips touch her neck, ghosting over her skin. He doesn't quite kiss her yet, he just keeps his lips close enough that she can feel it.

Of course she instantly goes weak at his actions. The usual. Jimin smirks, giving her hips a firm squeeze. "Come on, princess. Daddy misses you."

"You're insane."

"Mhm, you're damn right, that's why you won't be able to walk after we're done." She shivers, which gives him the permission he needs to attack her poor neck. He goes right in, leaving a trail of open-mouthed kisses down her skin. He swirls his tongue across her collarbone, her chest, her lower neck... every inch of skin he can find.

"Stoooop," she says. "We need to take care of Baby."

The dog perks her head up, her body sitting next to their bed. "She can wait," he murmurs, holding her waist. Welp, it's safe to say they're in their honeymoon phase. These past two days have been just romantic dinners and fucking all day and night. Literally.

"You fucked me five times yesterday. Five. Times."

"Just five? Guess we're going to have to make it six today," he whispers, continuing his onslaught of kisses.

"Oh my gosh, Park Jimin," she mumbles.

"Oh my gosh, Y/N Park," he teases, turning her so her face is in front of him. She pouts, making him chuckle and kiss her lips. She kisses back, her pout turning into a smile as they sweetly kiss for a few moments. When they break, Jimin can't stop the smile on his face. "I can't wait to officially call you Mrs. Park," he says, brushing a strand of hair out of her face.

"Hey Min?" He nods. "I love you."

Jimin can't stop the giddiness that explodes throughout his body. Come to think not too long ago he was chipped, and then right after that, he was on trial for murder. Now he's here, with the love of his life, engagement ring on her finger. "I love you," he whispers, kissing her nose. "I love you so much, Yeobo."

"You're saying that just to tease me, aren't you?" she asks with a snicker.

"Only a little. I promise I'll tell you what it means soon, princess."

She flutters her eyes open, giving him a soft look. "Can we make lunch together today? I have a training with Yoongi at one, but I want to celebrate us-"

Jimin's comm loudly chimes, making both him and her groan. "So much for morning sex," Jimin grumbles, reaching over and grabbing the device off of his nightstand. He straps it around his wrist, bringing it to his lips before pressing on it. "Commander Park here," he says.

"Commander, it's Alex Blaine." Weapon's Administer. Oh shit.

Jimin instantly sits up. "Mr. Blaine, it's an honor. How can I help you?"

"We just got word from Mars. They want a meeting asap."

"As in...?"

"Tonight. They want to meet tonight, they're already on their way," Mr. Blaine says.

Jimin bites back his sigh. "Alright, Y/N and I will be there. What time?"

"Seven o'clock sharp on neutral grounds. There's a dining hall in the center of the city for higher ups, I'll send you the address."

"Thank you, sir. Anything I should know before going in?"

There's a few beats of silence. "Do whatever you can to make peace. This war can't go on any longer."

"We'll do our best, sir. I promise," Jimin says, keeping his voice as steady as he can.

"I know you will. Good luck, I mean it." As soon as the words leave his mouth, the comm shuts off. Although Jimin's confused, he doesn't complain. How the fuck the Administer is even in comm range is astonishing, he must still be in Binghamton. Normally world leaders are... well, hopping around the world. Regardless, that's not what's important right now.

"Can we shower?" he whisper-asks, placing the device back on his nightstand. "You still owe me one, we haven't showered together since I proposed."

She smiles. "Sure Min, let's do it." As soon as she says what he wanted to hear, he giggles and rushes into action. He carries her bridal style, picking her up and bringing her to the bathroom. She laughs the whole way there, her arms wrapped around his neck.

As soon as they're inside, he kicks the door closed and starts the shower. He watches as she strips, humming softly to herself. Jimin smiles at the sight, almost forgetting to take off his boxers. Yeah, that's the only thing he wears to sleep. Sometimes he doesn't wear anything, especially after they're done fucking. Their day consists of: waking up and Jimin fucking her, breakfast, taking Baby out on a walk, watching TV in silence while cuddling, playing outside with Baby some more, dinner, fucking after dinner, a make out session or two... or three, a shower, then fucking until they fall asleep. What a wonderful life Jimin lives.

He kicks away his boxers, watching as she strolls over to him. Their hands find each other, him pulling her into the glass shower almost immediately. The warm water hits his back as they enter, her still giggling. "First shower," he mutters, holding her.

"First shower," she repeats, just as bubbly as him.

"Kiss me, love," he whispers, and she hums, pressing her lips against his.

The warmth of the water is nothing compared to the warmth in his heart. Her lips can cure any problems he has. She's his remedy, she always has been. They kiss for several minutes, him pinning her to the wall as they keep a consistent pace. They never go too fast or too slow, they form a perfect pattern. There's a mix of sucking and nibbling in there, their tongues meeting every once in a while, but other than that it's nice and sweet.

When he pulls back, he shoots her a smile. "Love you baby girl, but you forgot to take your ring off."

"Ah shit," she says, glancing down at it.

He giggles, bringing her hand to his lips to kiss it, "I don't mind, I like seeing you wear it."

"Yeah but what if it falls off and goes down the drain?"

"Seeing as the drain isn't big enough to fit a ring, I think we're fine, Yeobo," he whispers, kissing her forehead.

At this point she's just accepted his use of 'Yeobo'. He still calls her Jagi, but he wants to mix it up here and there. He loves seeing her flushed face whenever he calls her it. It's the mystery of her not knowing what it means that makes it even better.

"I'm about to call Jungkook and ask him what it means."

"Nooo please don't," he says with a whine, pouting.

She kisses his plump lips, offering him a kind smile. "I was joking. Probably."

"Probably?!"

She giggles, making him giggle as well. The two of them are so giggly around each other, they can't help it. "Cleaning?" she asks with puppy eyes.

"But what about shower sex?" he asks.

"What about it?"

"I thought we were gonna have shower sex."

"Why?"

"We always have shower sex," he mumbles, frowning.

"Oh my- if I say yes will you make me lunch?"

"Deal!" he says, making her laugh as he comes closer.

Best. Sex. Ever.

By the time they're done, Jimin is in a whole different dimension. This isn't like any post-nut clarity he's ever had. This is even more intense. She softly moans as he finishes, biting her neck. He leaves a few more marks, a fresh set for his soon-to-be wife. "Mmm, when do you want to start planning the wedding, baby?" he whispers, giving her two more solid thrusts before pulling out.

"Soon," she whispers back. "We have a lot to arrange."

"Big ass venue?"

"Big ass venue," she agrees.

"During the war or after?"

"Well, I'd prefer after, but if this whole thing goes on much longer we can do during, I don't really care. What matters is I'll be marrying you, so can't complain really."

"You're so cute," he murmurs, his breath hitting her lips.

"Min?"

"Yes?"

"Just kiss me, please."

He grants her plea, kissing her softly. Once again, they kiss for several minutes, enjoying the simple things. After the minutes pass, Jimin reluctantly breaks their kiss to grab some shampoo. He cutely gazes at her, and she looks back in awe. "You owe me lunch," she whispers.

Jimin lets out a soft chuckle. "Oh I know, baby. I'll get you whatever you want, but for now..." Jimin waves the bottle back and forth.

"Cleaning?"

~13:32~

"Y/N, come on, it's not that big a deal."

"But it is," you say, leaning against the punching bag. "I lost two major fights, Yoons. Two major ones. I lost to Chaeyoung and some Martian dude. Both times I would have died if... if it wasn't for Jimin."

Yoongi frowns. "And now he's back, the two of you will be fighting together. You don't have to push yourself this much."

"We're going to a meeting with a bunch of Martians tonight, I think being prepared isn't a bad idea."

"But... still."

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to take time out of your day to help me, but I really need training and you're the best candidate."

He hesitates, then sighs. "Fine, I'll keep helping you on one condition." You raise a brow. "Stop doubting yourself. Everyone loses fights here and there, you went up against tough candidates. Chaeyoung was the leader of Earth: she kicked my ass in a fight, so don't get too down on yourself about that one. As for the Martian, wasn't he hand-selected by Commander Clementine to kill you?" You don't reply. "Exactly. You're still doing really good, okay?"

Although you're hesitant, you nod. "Yeah. I guess I am. I just could be better, I'd like to at least not be beat within a minute," you say.

"That's why we should keep sparring. Have you been working on your roundhouse?"

You hum. "Believe it or not, Jimin has been helping me with that."

"Oh really?" he asks.

"Yeah, turns out Jimin is trained in like four forms of martial arts and he kept it from us."

Yoongi blinks. "You're shitting me."

"Nope, Taekwondo, Kendo, some Chinese form I forgot the name of, and Hapkido. Oh and get this, he's a black belt in Taekwondo."

"And he's kept that from us... why?"

You shrug. "I guess it didn't really seem important."

"We're in the middle of a- okay, Jimin. Tell him I said he's an idiot," Yoongi says with a huff.

You let out a breath of amusement. "Yeah, trust me, I tell him that a lot." You glance down at your ring, smiling. "Where should I put this?" you ask, taking it off reluctantly.

"I brought my bag, you can put it in there." He points to it, and you agree, heading over and putting it in the small pouch. You stare at the bag as you go back over to the center, Yoongi watching you closely as you do so. "I'm really happy for you, you know that?"

"You are?" you ask in a whisper.

He offers you a gummy smile for a moment before speaking. "There's one thing that never changed about the crew."

"And what's that?"

"The relationships are amazing. They're all so strong, so healthy. No matter what, you have each other's backs. I love that about us. We're all so supportive of each other, and that's rare. I hate that it is, but that makes us really special."

You let out a huff. "I think a lot of people in our crew can be identified as 'special', grandpa."

"Oh I know, Muffin. But still, doesn't change how good we are to each other. Despite our jokes, our sarcastic arguments, and our actual fights, we have each other's backs. Even after the biggest fight ever, we would still back each other up. We would never leave anyone behind. Ever."

"No one fights alone," you say, and he nods.

"Now come on, Muffin. Let's fight."

"Never thought I'd hear that sentence in my life, but here we are," you say, trotting up to the sparring mat. As soon as your bare feet hit the soft thing, you sigh. You're not used to this, it's been a while since you've trained. It's a damn good thing you're starting again, you could certainly use it. Yoongi hops up with you, standing right across from your form. He goes into a defensive position, and you do the same.

"You sure you want to do this? I'm not gonna take it easy on you," Yoongi says.

"You're called grandpa for a reason, it's because you move like one. So please do, come at me," you cheekily reply. He smirks at your confidence and agrees, charging first. After your new experiences, you've gotten better. Far from perfect, but better. So, when he charges you, you're ready. You duck, side stepping and preparing a counter attack right away.

He predicts it and blocks your punch, the two of you going back and forth. Yoongi seems to be enjoying himself, him landing a punch but you not going down. You land one right back. More punches, kicks, and jabs are thrown, but no one falls. Eventually a full two minutes pass, and the only thing you feel right now is exhaustion. You go to punch his stomach, but he blocks. Damn, there goes your luck.

The two of you agreed to try not to do face shots since they're painful, but sometimes you and him can't help but get a bit competitive. He goes for your cheek, you jumping back. You narrowly dodged, it was so close you felt the breeze of his punch as you jumped.

"Scared?" he teases, a glint of amusement in his eyes.

"I haven't pissed myself yet, so I'm good."

He scrunches up his face in disgust. "Ew."

"What? You asked, I answered honestly."

"The detail though?"

"I'm not sorry," you reply, winking.

You go after him again, the two of you clashing for another minute. However, he gets the upper hand. You try for a roundhouse, but it doesn't work, him sweeping your legs out from underneath you. You let out a yelp as you go down, your back hitting the mat as you pant. What a fight.

"Sorry Muffin, I'm just a good fighter," he says.

"No shit, that's why I asked you to train me." He offers you his hand, and you take it. As soon as your feet touch the mat, you give him a grateful nod. "How am I doing?"

"Really good actually, you've improved a lot. Those kicks are still messy, your punches aren't connecting as well as they should, but other than that you're doing good. Your defense is a lot better," he says.

"Yeah it kind of has to be when your offense is shit," you say in a grunt.

"Look at me." He motions to his body, drenched in sweat with bruises forming. "You did this."

"I do that to Jimin too, just in other circumstances."

"Why am I training you again?" Yoongi asks, groaning.

"I don't know."

Yoongi walks off the mat, you following. He grabs a water bottle, drinking from it for a few seconds before offering it to you. You take it, downing a quarter of it. Damn you were parched. You're sweating too, some bruises forming from the sparring session. "Hey Muffin?" You hum, stopping your drinking to look at him. He softly smiles, his skin glimmering in the lighting of the room. You can't help but smile back. You really can't help it, he just brings out the soft side of you. "You're doing good. Really, really good. In more than one way..."

~14:23~

Hoseok watches, love in his eyes as Seulgi finishes her painting. The last decoration. They finished moving in not too long ago, but getting the apartment all prettied up in the middle of a war has proved difficult. "Together?" she asks, her hair tied cutely in a bun. He watches the way her hair bounces, the messiness only adding to her beautiful self. Her skin is slightly red since their apartment doesn't have the best AC and she's been doing a lot of work, but once again, that only adds to the beauty of Kang Seulgi.

He already set up a nail in their bedroom for the painting, now all that's left is hanging it. She was just putting on some finishing touches and letting the rest dry. The corners should be good, so placing it on the wall shouldn't cause any problems. If Hoseok somehow manages to get paint on his hands when most of it is dry, he probably deserves it.

"Together," Hoseok says, standing and approaching. She's wearing a cute little smock, the apron-like clothing hugging her body, some paint smeared on it. As soon as he enters her vicinity, she kneels next to the large thing, grabbing one corner. He mimics her action, grabbing the opposite corner. "Three, two, one..." They both put in the effort, picking it up and guiding it to the wall.

The large painting quickly and painlessly gets mounted, the beautiful colors dusting the room with the vibrancy it needed. "Like it?" she asks, wiping a bead of sweat off her forehead.

"I love it," he whispers, wrapping an arm around her as the two stare at it. It's beyond gorgeous. It's perfect.

The Ring. She painted all the colors of the other world they entered. But it's not just the strange galaxy. It's the Moonchild too. Their ship is there, Hoseok and Seulgi in spacesuits sitting on top of it. Their hands are placed over each other's as they gaze out at the strange new world they were once in. It was such a huge part of their lives that it makes sense to have it here. And he thought his stick figure drawings were good. This? God damn, Seulgi is talented.

She cracks her knuckles, the sound filling the room and bringing Hoseok back to reality. "You're so good at everything," he says.

"It's cause you're around me."

He laughs. "Alright, now you're being too nice." He stares at her, but her eyes are still on the painting that took an ungodly amount of hours to create. He waits patiently, simply peering down at her side profile while she stares for a few more moments. As soon as she senses his gaze and meets it, he kisses her.

She's surprised but kisses back, grinning against his mouth. He returns the expression, pulling back. "Taehyung and Jungkook, Jimin and Y/N. It got me thinking," he starts.

"You didn't destroy your brain by thinking, did you?"

"Hahaha," he dryly replies, although his eyes show his amusement. "If I were to drop to one knee and propose right now, what would you say?"

Hoseok watches as the wheels turn in her head. She's taking the question seriously, which he's thankful for. "Are you?"

He laughs again. "No, just hypothetically."

She hums, nodding as she considers it. "Well, we've been in a relationship for a while, and if Jimin and Y/N's horny asses can last this long, I know we can too. I'd honestly have to take a good day to think about it, I'm not even sure. But I'm definitely not opposed to it."

Seulgi gives him a smile, making his heart go soft. "We've been together for a while after all," he mutters. "We're only like two weeks behind Jimin and Y/N."

"Remember when we were desperately trying to get Taehyung and Jungkook together?"

"Ohhh yeah, those were the days. It's hard to get them together when one of them is a Cupid but oblivious to his own love life."

"Right? It was so obvious! Taehyung and him eye fucked each other every day!" Seulgi says in a whine.

Hoseok kisses the top of her head. "Honestly, what do you think of everyone's relationships?" he asks.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, do you think they'll make it?" he asks.

Seulgi shrugs. "You never know, but I think the married ones will definitely make it. Taehyung and Jungkook have been through too much shit not to, and Jimin and Y/N are too horny to keep their hands off each other."

"If I'm being honest, I feel like they're the type to fuck in the middle of an argument."

"They have."

Hoseok groans. "I'm not surprised."

Seulgi shakes her head, smiling. "As for Jin and Anya and Sapphire and Yoongi, I don't know. Of course I hope they make it, but I doubt Sapphire and Yoongi will. They're both so inexperienced, and the odds of your first relationship being your last one is low. Anya and Jin have a higher chance but even then I don't know. Only time will tell I guess." Hoseok stays quiet for a moment, drawing her attention to him.

"What's wrong?" she asks.

"Honey?" She nods, her eyes focusing on only him. "What do you think about us?" he softly asks.

She almost laughs. "You're serious?"

"Very." Seulgi kisses him, the kiss throwing him off guard. He takes a few seconds, then eases into it, sweetly kissing her back. As soon as she parts, she lets out a breath.

"I think we make a great team, Hobi. And I'd love it if you were my partner and crime forever." He chuckles, one hand on her cheek. "I love you," she mutters as he rubs her cheek. She leans into his touch, a loving look in her eyes that he returns.

"I love you too."

~19:00~

Jimin adjusts his jacket one more time, opening the door to the venue. Y/N goes in first, eyeing the place suspiciously. "Oddly big for a meeting," she whispers, and he nods.

"Stay alert, don't go out of my sight for even a second."

"Wasn't planning on it." Their bodyguards enter as well, but what surprises Jimin the most is that a man is already waiting for them.

"Commander Park, my name is Jace Einhorn. I was sent by Mr. Blaine to prove my loyalty to Earth." He offers Jimin his hand, and he shakes it.

The bodyguards watch closely but quickly ease up. "You're the one who saved Seulgi?" Y/N asks.

"I am."

"Thank you for helping my friends," Jimin says, and he hums.

"My pleasure, you're a pretty famous tale back home. Moonchild this, Moonchild that. It's honestly quite astounding."

Jimin chuckles. "We've certainly made our mark, haven't we?" Y/N comes up to Jimin, their hands entwining together on instinct. Jace notices the ring on her finger and smiles.

"Congratulations."

"Thank you. So far we've lasted two days, hopefully we can last until the actual ceremony," she says.

Jace offers the pair a nod. "I'm sure you will. If you'll follow me this way, I'll show you where they're waiting." He leads the way, Jimin and Y/N following with their bodyguards close behind. Y/N looks absolutely stunning, and it doesn't help that the lighting in the building is dim, so a lot is left to Jimin's imagination. He can just faintly see her curves, the rest his mind fills in. God damn she is gorgeous. Beyond that, actually.

The place itself has an elegant feel to it. It's definitely more than some dinner place, it's like a whole ass senate building or something. Long, wide, elegant hallways with chandeliers as the only lighting available. The color scheme is all reds and dark oranges, some yellows thrown in as well. As they make their way down the hall, Jace opens the closest door for them. Jimin nods his thanks, stepping inside to see the giant room that awaits him.

A dark wood, rectangular table sits there, several chairs set up around the object. There's three people already in the room, none of which Jimin recognizes. They sit at the end of the table, staring at Jimin and Y/N as they enter. Jimin instinctively holds Y/N behind him a little bit, keeping himself in front of her so nothing bad happens. "Commander Park?" one of them asks, a male probably in his late thirties.

Jimin dips his head in greeting. "I am Commander Park Jimin of the Earth military and Captain of the Moonchild crew. This is my fiancée, Y/N L/N. You asked to speak with us?" He feels a spike of pride swell in his chest. He just introduced his girl as his fiancée. Maybe this meeting isn't so bad after all.

"Please, sit. My name is Ansel Harper," he says. Jimin brings Y/N over to the first set of chairs they see, sitting down as the bodyguards take their spots in the room.

There was a search just outside the building, so neither party should be armed, but it's good to have bodyguards anyway. "Main courses should be out soon, I'll go oversee that they get here as soon as possible," Jace says, nodding politely before departing, closing the door behind him.

Jimin peeks back at the three across from him. One girl, two guys. All of which look older than Jimin. Strange how Mars seems to have the older leaders and Earth has the younger. So far, neither the younger or older generation have done things right. Chaeyoung for obvious reasons, and Mars seems to have a bunch of power-hungry leaders on their side. It's absolutely ridiculous. Who's going to save them? Maybe put an infant in charge, see what happens.

"As I was saying, I'm Ansel, this is Xavier Ursul," Ansel says, pointing to the man besides him. "And this is Emeraude Yudiski." The woman nods in greeting.

"Positions?" Jimin asks, still keeping his hand in Y/N's under the table.

"Emeraude is in charge of our military, Xavier is my right hand, and I'm overseer."

"If Emeraude is in charge of the military, what does Commander Clementine do?" Jimin asks.

"She's like you. You have a Weapon's Administer who oversees the military, but you run it. It's exactly like that," Ansel says, the other two remaining quiet.

Jimin absorbs the information, softly humming. "It's very nice to meet all of you. Any particular reason why you wanted to speak with us two and no one else?"

Ansel nods. "You two are seen as the king and queen of the solar system now."

"I thought we were the king and queen of Ganymede?"

Ansel chuckles. "You were, but after your involvement with Earth, even the Martian people are starting to see you as heroes that could be useful on our side." Jimin leans back in his seat, raising a brow as he continues. "Earth has so many people in charge. A whole council and commission, a weapon's administer, a leader. But they're not as powerful as the two of you. The one thing you have on them is the people's favor. Even after the whole Chaeyoung incident, people are still on your side. Wherever you go, morale and power go up significantly."

"What are you saying?" Y/N asks.

"People like you. You're the most likeable pair in the entire system. I thought we could work something out..."

"Like an alliance?" Jimin asks.

Emeraude lights up, finally speaking so Ansel doesn't have to. "Exactly like that. After everything Earth has put you through, wouldn't it be good to have a fallback?"

"A fallback? Please elaborate," Jimin says.

"We want to help you, but we understand you're loyal to Earth. We strongly believe we're going to win this war. You've seen it with your own eyes, we have power in places you don't even know. But if we win, you'll die," Emeraude says.

"What would this alliance mean?" Y/N asks, eyeing the three carefully.

"If even one of you die, the people will be distraught. Both on Mars and Earth. We can help each other. In exchange for dropping out of the military, we'll guarantee your protection and even grant you Martian citizenship when we win," Xavier says. Jimin and Y/N share a glance, keeping their poker faces on. "If you want to do a full switch and come join the Martian military, that can be arranged as well."

"A full switch?" Jimin asks in disbelief.

"I can imagine you're angry. Especially you, Jimin. The entire crew despised Chaeyoung, you enough to kill her."

"As much as I hated Chaeyoung, she acted alone. If it wasn't for our Weapon's Administer, I wouldn't be in front of you right now," Jimin says.

"If it wasn't for Chaeyoung, you wouldn't have had to worry about that at all," Emeraude says. Well shit, she's got a point.

"I hate Chaeyoung as much as the next person, but she isn't important. She's dead, we don't have to worry about her right now. I'm more curious as to why you're willing to offer us an alliance but not Earth. Why aren't you making any moves towards peace?" Jimin asks.

"Earth has had everything for years. Ever since we reached out and formed colonies within the stars, Earth was always seen as the leader. What has she actually done for anyone?" Ansel asks back.

"She's provided a home to many, resources to the outer regions as well. I didn't see you jumping to help the Belt or Ganymede when they were in trouble. Leaders help everyone, leaders set an example. The only example you set was how to leave an entire planet on read, and I want to know why." The three chuckle at Jimin's words, seemingly impressed.

"I agree, but you have to wonder, if we did nothing, then why did the Belt give their cloaking technology to us instead of Earth?" Ansel says.

That actually confuses Jimin for a moment. At his puzzled expression, Emeraude sighs. "Earth is the reason why the Belt was in their horrible position to begin with. Earth let them get to the chaos they were in. Just because Earth helps once, doesn't mean they help all the time. Think of all the countless years the Belt suffered through. Based on my research, I've seen that you have welding experience there, correct?" she asks. Jimin nods. "You've seen firsthand how the people are starving, how they're financially struggling, how it's all chaos and hate."

"And what are you doing about it?" Jimin asks.

"Are you forgetting who's in charge?" she says.

Jimin goes still, his breath getting caught in his throat. "Dahyun. She's a Martian."

"She is?" Y/N asks, confused.

"She told us that Mars sent her to keep the peace with the Belt. After Jackson... you know, she stayed and became leader. A Martian is leading the Belt," Jimin says.

"And under her leadership the Belt is recovering. Slowly but surely they're getting stronger."

"So that's why you have the tech. She sent it to you. She's giving you the Belt's military strategies."

Emeraude nods. "Precisely. Earth has proved over and over again that she can't lead a whole system. Have you seen the crime rates in major cities? They're skyrocketing. If Earth can't protect her own streets, how is she supposed to protect dozens of colonies? Where are the patrols? Where are the check ins? Where are the ambassadors? Every colony should have an ambassador from Earth, don't you think?" Emeraude says. As much as he hates to admit it, she's right.

"Earth has a strong military, but that's about it. They don't care about the people, and if you think that, you're lying to yourself. We have people in power in other colonies, we have patrols sent out, we comm to check in on other planets," Emeraude says.

"You have patrols?" Jimin whisper-asks, disbelief in his tone.

"Cloaked ships, remember? Earth wouldn't approve of our patrols, but how could she know if we're cloaked?" Ansel adds.

Jimin sighs, not answering. "There needs to be change. Even the simplest things such as our days of the week and the time, it all comes from Earth. Even in civilizations where one Earth year isn't even half a year for them, but they're still going by Earth's clock. Change. Change is the most important thing right now. Places like the Belt are suffering because of Earth's lack of action. I'm not saying it's all of your leaders, but it's the most important ones. They aren't doing anything, and the ones that are trying are being shafted in favor of the more powerful. If we keep running like this, we'll all be at war with each other. We saw Ganymede and the Belt, what happens if Callisto decides to fight back? What about Sturgeon? And what about Triton? What has Earth done about Triton? There's been no action for months. What if there's survivors? The aliens are still on the moon, yet Earth doesn't seem to care," Emeraude says.

Y/N gives Jimin a look that says 'she's right', making him bite back a grunt. "Isn't there a better way to do this rather than war? Why not go discuss a peace treaty and raise your concerns?" Jimin asks.

"If nothing has changed in over fifty years, do you really think anything would change now?" Ansel asks, raising a brow.

"We have to set an example. An example that will force Earth to listen to us. And we know exactly how to do that," Emeraude says, her tone low.

Before Jimin can ask what she means, the door opens and a bunch of men pour inside. Jimin watches as they place plates in front of them. "Garlic butter steak with potatoes," one of the men explains, causing Jimin to slowly nod. He knew there would be dinner, but he didn't think it'd be this extravagant. Red wine is placed by their sides, making Jimin sigh in relief.

"Thank God for alcohol," Jimin mutters, instantly going for the glass.

As soon as everyone is given food, drinks, and utensils, the men scurry out of the room, leaving Jimin and Y/N alone with the Martians again. "As I was saying, peace is not an option," Ansel says. Y/N silently eats her potatoes, keeping her eyes on her plate. Jimin can't help but feel bad. She shouldn't be here. He gets that her and him are the face of pretty much the whole solar system, but still. It should be just him and the Earth leaders. He'll give her a hug when they get home.

"So you're going to keep fighting in this war? When does it end?" Jimin asks, cutting into his steak.

"It ends when one side either surrenders or perishes," Xavier says. "And we know which side that will be."

"Confident much?" Y/N asks.

"Your father was a Martian war hero," Ansel starts.

"Oh boy, here we go," she whispers. Jimin smiles, but it quickly falls into a frown as he keeps talking.

"Surely you have a sense of loyalty to your home."

"I've never been to Mars. Ganymede born and raised," she replies.

"Ganymede was heavily influenced by Martians, why do you think your father migrated there after the war?" Ansel asks.

"I always thought it was because of how good Ganymede was for children. That's what my mother told me, anyway."

"I'm sure that was one of the reasons, but he wanted a sense of home. Mars is in your blood. You may have been born on Ganymede, but you'll forever be a Martian," he says.

Y/N shakes her head, going for her steak. She takes a moment, then sighs, glancing up and plastering a fake smile on her face. "I regret to inform you that I don't have any sense of loyalty to the planet that raised a child beater. My apologies," she says, giving them a polite nod before going back to her food. They stare in shock, their mouths wide open. Jimin bites back his laugh, gazing at his girl with pride. She's fighting back a smile, making her look even cuter.

"My fiancée's a badass," he mutters, slightly smirking before letting the night carry on.

Jimin closes the door with a sigh. Y/N wobbles, strutting towards the fridge to grab a water. "You okay, babe?" Jimin asks.

"Yeah, my body feels a little weak though. Long day I guess."

"Very long day. Need anything?" he asks, going up and back-hugging her.

"Mmm no, not really. Just you. The usual."

He giggles, kissing her cheek. "Then that's exactly what you'll get." Baby comes dashing over, bouncing up and down. "Hey Baby! Mommy and daddy are home!" Jimin does a small cheer, kneeling just in time for her to jump into his arms. "Yesss, I missed you too. I missed you so much, Baby," he says with a chuckle, her tongue whipping out to lick his face rapidly. He laughs, practically getting knocked over by the furball. "Do you need to go out? Do you?" he asks cutely, giving her snout a peck.

Jimin looks up and sees a tired Y/N staring back, a soft smile on her face. "Aish, you don't look too good, baby. You should go lay down. I'll take her out and bring you some extra blankets, okay?"

Her smile widens. "I love you so much."

He can't help but smile with her. "I love you too, princess. You fed her before we left, right?" She hums, nodding. "Alright then, babe. Go rest. We had a long day."

Baby can clearly sense where this is going and jumps out of his arms, rushing to the back door. Jimin chuckles, standing. "I'll be up in a minute, darling," he says, kissing her nose.

"You better be, I'll get lonely without you," she replies, blinking slowly. Yeah, she looks sick. Back when he was sick, she caught it too. Maybe it's coming back. He certainly hopes not, he thought they were done with that. Being sick sucks.

Without another word, he jogs to the back of the house, opening the door for Baby. He goes with her, watching as she sprints around their large yard. He chuckles, sitting on one of the chairs they put outside and smiling. Jimin watches her jump around, chasing random bugs and doing her business. He takes a few minutes, thinking about everything that's happened today.

The meeting was pretty long and boring, but after they ate, there wasn't much else to talk about. Mars refused to have a peace treaty and Jimin gave his report to Alex Blaine already, so for now, they wait. They wait until Mars makes a move. Earth is staying as strictly defensive as possible. Going on the offensive when they have cloaked ships isn't a good idea. They can attack at any time. Wow, they're actually fighting in a war. A whole ass war.

Jimin stands, realizing it's been a good four minutes now. His fiancée is sick and needs him, so he should go back in now. "Baby, come!" he calls. She comes stumbling over as he chuckles, going to the door and opening it. She goes in first, sprinting back into the house and nearly tripping. "Woah, careful girl!" he yells, but she's already out of his eyesight. Jimin sighs, smiling to himself as he enters the house.

Baby dashed around the corner, so he should do the same. Where the hell was she going? Maybe to the bedroom to see her mommy, but still she went fast. Jimin pouts. Does Baby like mommy more than daddy? He wants to be the favorite, no fair. He mentally laughs at his own thoughts, smiling like an idiot at the thought of Y/N. His feet carry him into the main area, his body going still once his eyes land on where Baby is.

Y/N's on the ground.

"Jagi?" he says, rushing over to her. Baby is licking her face, trying to get her to wake up. Jimin ushers Baby out of the way, grabbing his love and pulling her onto his lap. "Hey, Y/N. Y/N can you hear me?" he asks, not hiding the panic in his tone. She's still breathing, but her skin is glistening with sweat, her chest slowly rising and falling. "B-Baby, what's wrong? Baby, please wake up!"

He shakes her, trying to get her to open her eyes, but she doesn't. "Baby please!" he begs, whimpering and crying. "What happened? What happened, princess?" Once he realizes she's not waking up, his hands go to his pockets. He brings out his phone, calling an ambulance right away. It rings and rings, his heart nearly jumping out of his ribs.

The panic hits Jimin's veins, his throat and tongue dry, his skin cold to the touch. "911, what's your emergency?"

"Help, please. My fiancée, she collapsed and I don't know why," he says, shamelessly sobbing on the line.

"What's your and her names, sir?"

"Park Jimin, my fiancée is Y/N L/N." There's a beat of silence.

"Alright sir, is she breathing?"

"Yes, but it's shallow. She's all sweaty and she won't open her eyes."

"I'm sending an ambulance, I'm tracking you now. Please stay on the line." Jimin softly cries, nodding despite the fact that the operator can't see him. He holds his girl in his arms, his entire body shaking.

"It's okay, baby. I got you, you're gonna be okay," he murmurs, brushing some hair out of her beautiful face.

"I have your location, the ambulance is on the way now. Can you stay on the line?"

"I-I can't, I'm sorry," he replies, hanging up. He mostly hung up so he can scream. And that's exactly what he does. He cries against her chest, trying to get her to open her eyes. "Come back to me. Come back to me, baby. Please," he whispers, his voice hoarse. There's silence for several minutes, the sound of his sobs being the only thing in the room.

Baby sits next to him, her ears turned down as she lays on the ground, staring at him. He doesn't look back, he simply cradles Y/N in his arms, trying to bring her back. "Where are they? Come on, where are they? It's been like five minutes now," he says, glancing at the front door. He never locked it, so they can come right in when they get here.

Jimin peeks down at her again, but the sight makes him go still. "Baby?" he whispers, shaking her. "B-Baby? No... no!" Her breathing slows to a stop, making him panic beyond belief. "Please no, fuck no! Jagi, please! Fight for me. Fight for me," he begs, looking for her breathing to start again. When it doesn't, he hyperventilates, preparing to do CPR, but the door opens. Within a heartbeat, he's dragged off of her, the sounds of the men talking to him distant.

His ears ring as he screams for her, trying to get her back as they put her on a stretcher, carrying her out of their house. The entire world stops spinning for a minute, everything feeling dull. Jimin almost falls to the ground, but the men holding him back keep him from going down. He stares at the space she just was, his entire body feeling weak from the effort.

Then everything goes black.
