It was a normal day for the eight teenagers: everyone running around, trying to find an average taste in Eddie's trailer, Steve yelling at Erica, Erica yelling at the rest, and so forth.
"Steve says you need to hurry!" Erica came in yelling.
"Yeah, no shit!" Dustin replied, also yelling.
Max was looking through the numerous cd's, "We're trying, we can't find anything!"
"What is all this shit?!" Robin asked Eddie, holding a dozen cd's.
Eddie ran through the room, trying to find something non-metal, "W-what are you even looking for?!"
"Madonna, Blondie, Bowie, Beatles?!" Robin named, "Music! We need music!"
Eddie snatched the Iron Maiden cd from her hand and held it next to his face, "This is music!" he yelled, his voice becoming high and gruff.
"The kind Nancy would like! Not this!" June added, her eyes fixated on all the metal cd's. She currently had a Metallica cd in her hand and remembered the moment they'd shared when she taught Eddie how to play Master of puppets on his guitar.
That was when they heard more commotion coming from the living room, Erica ran back to look at what was happening. Seconds later, her voice rang through the room, "They're okay!"
They pulled Nancy and Steve up by the rope, but June could sense something wrong with Nancy's behaviour. She wasn't like she usually was and it worried the McKennan girl.
Nancy ordered the rest to sit across from her as she sat down in a chair. While Erica, Steve and Eddie sat down on the couch with June on the armrest and Robin taking a seat on the floor, the rest stood. Eddie did offer June his place or a place in front of him (which pretty much had only one reason, the reason being her being close to him), but she preferred the armrest next to Steve.
Nancy explained that Vecna came to her in her trance, but that his intention wasn't to kill her, "He showed me things.. things that haven't- haven't happened yet. The most awful things." she spoke almost in a whispering tone, I saw.. a dark cloud.. spreading over Hawkins. Downtown on fire. Dead soldiers. And this.. this giant creature.. with.. a gaping mouth. And this creature wasn't alone. There were so many monsters. An army. And they were coming into Hawkins. Into our neighbourhoods. Our homes."
It was like she was terrified of even repeating what Henry made her see, which was completely understandable obviously, "And then.. he showed me my mom. And Holly.. Mike." Nancy started tearing up, "And they.. they were all.." she looked down, unable of bringing the words out of her mouth, her breath shaking. Though everyone knew what she was implying.
"Okay, but.. he's just trying to scare you, Nance." Steve tried to comfort her, "Right? I mean.. I mean, it's not real."
"Not yet." she whispered, a horrified look on her face, "But there.. there was something else. He showed me gates. Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these gates, they looked like the one outside of Eddie's trailer, but.. they didn't stop growing. And this wasn't the Upside Down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home."
June ran a hand over her face, she didn't believe what Steve said. Henry, Vecna, 001, whatever his name was, he doesn't play, he doesn't try to scare you. She knew he showed her his future plan, and she felt like it was her job to keep it from happening now that she had so-called powers.
"Four chimes." Max mentioned, leaning on the wall with her arms crossed, "Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly."
June looked back at Eddie, finding him already staring at her, "In my dream there was a clock. It chimed four times too." she realized.
Nancy made eye contact with the black girl, "I heard them too."
Max shook her head with a sorrowful look on her face, "He's been telling us his plan this whole time."
"Four kills." Lucas continued, looking at Max, "Four gates. End of the world."
"He only needs one more kill." June realized lowly. Eddie ran his hands over his face while Steve hid his in his hands, saying they had to try the Byers' again, "You're not gonna get 'em."
Max tried for the phone anyway, but as June predicted, there was no answer, "Rang a few times, then went to busy signal."
"Maybe you punched it in wrong. Try again." Steve ordered, even after Max tried convincing him she punched it in right, he tried.
Meanwhile June's attention was brought to something else. She felt this presence of another human being in the room with them, one they couldn't see nor hear. They were somehow connected to her.
She sauntered passed max, whom didn't notice because she was bickering with the rest. June looked at her surroundings, trying to find the mystery person. She could almost see the sparks in the form of a girl around her height coming from a certain spot. What Juniper didn't know was that only she could see these sparks.
Another thing she didn't know was that Eleven actually was on the other side. And she was terrified by how June could see her. Papa had never mentioned another child surviving 001, so how was this possible? At a certain point June stood so close to Eleven, she almost thought she was going to touch her.
June was in fact thinking of touching the sparks. She walked around the sparks a few times, her eyebrows furrowed, she extended her arm-
"Juniper." Nancy called out, getting her out of her trance-like state, "Are you even listening?"
June put her finger up, not turning her head, "There's someone here." she muttered. That's when the sparks and the feeling of an unknown presence disappeared, "Damnit, it's gone."
Eleven had gotten scared someone had actually seen her, she didn't plan on leaving that soon, but she felt she had no choice. If this strange curly head could see her, than who else could? She had to speak to Papa about his, find out whether there was more to it.
Eddie furrowed his brows looking at her, "Are you okay? You're not losing your mind, are you?"
June tilted her head, "No, I'm not losing my mind. And, please, call me June. I hate the name Juniper."
After Robin explained the plan in short, Eddie grabbed a paper out of his trailer and displayed it on the table in front of him, He bent forward on the table, showing a picture in the paper, "Check this out. The War Zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh.. well, killing things, basically."
Everyone circled around the table, except for Max and June. Max stood behind the group a little further, preparing for what was going to come and June, well.. June was just brooding on a chair like a little kid. Brooding that they had to involve guns.
She knew it was the only option, but that didn't mean she had to like it. Her father had implanted this idea in her head that everyone became unpredictable when handed guns, you can trust someone so much, but when handed a gun, they'd still shoot you when given the chance.
"Do you think fake Rambo has enough guns there?" Robin asked, looking down at the paper, "Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?"
Eddie shook his head ironically, "Well, lucky for us it is, so.. This.. this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks."
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the War Zone." Erica sassed.
"Normally I'd agree, but we need the weapons." Nancy countered, "So, I think it's worth the risk." Lucas agreed with Nancy.
June crossed her arms with skepticism, "This plan might be fun and shit, but, what was your plan about going there, Megamind?" she asked Eddie.
"Well, you got some car we don't know about?" Steve added.
Eddie stood up straight, "It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but, uh.. it'll do." he gave June a small smirk.
She caught it and gave him a look, "Oh, God, I hate that face." she replied in a knowing tone. She knew what the brunet meant, but she wasn't looking forward to it.
Eddie turned around to Max, "Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandana, something like that?"
She raised her eyebrows in response and left to her trailer to get the mask while the rest waited for her to return. June sat back down on the couch in defeat, she was so sure there was something, but now she wasn't sure whether she could trust herself.
Eddie crouched down in front of her, laying both his hands on her thighs, "Hey," he spoke softly, "you sure you're okay?"
She nodded, but the bouncing of her left leg told Eddie otherwise. His hand pressed firmer on June's leg so she would stop bouncing it. He looked at her with such a soft and worried yet longing look, as if they were the only two in the room, "I know that's not true. Talk to me."
"I think I'm going cuckoo.." she finally mumbled, June didn't meet his gaze, a few tears filling her eyes, "Do you think I'm going cuckoo?"
"If you say there was someone, I believe you." Eddie rejoined, but he still wasn't sure if she was satisfied, "Hey, look at me," June finally made eye contact with the brunet in front of her, he smiled at her reassuringly, "we'll figure this out, okay? You and me, together."
Both of them needed the other, mentally, but also physically. Though neither would admit this to the other, they couldn't keep bottling it up. It was going to have to come up eventually.

Max had come back with a Micheal Myers mask she claimed to have used as a Halloween costume once. The mask was white with black hairs coming out in the back. Eddie put it on and June couldn't hold in her laughter seeing him with the mask on his face.
Everyone stood in line behind Eddie as he stood behind one of the trailers, looking at the people on the other side. he lead the rest as he ran forward to a camper. At the front were the owners sitting in chairs, so he had to open a window to slide through.
June was close behind him while he opened the small window, Eddie crouched down on one knee and cupped his hands to give her a little boost. She used his hands to climb smoothly through the window and took his bag.
June than helped Eddie and the rest come through the window. He took his mask off, "That was suffocating." Eddie uttered before going to the front to sit behind the steering wheel.
June ran after him to lock the front door while Eddie held a tool in between his teeth and grabbed two wires. She had to remind herself to focus, but he looked really good with that tool in his mouth.
He tried getting to the wires while looking up at the girl, finding her staring, "You're staring again, love." he teased, taking out the tool only to say that.
"Shut up, I wasn't staring." she defended herself with a small, but toothy smile.
Steve came standing next to the two, looking at what Eddie was doing with the wires, "Where'd you learn how to do this?"
"Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball," Eddie cut the wires, "my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire. Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto."
"Okay, yeah, grand theft auto, but you didn't murder anyone, Eds." June tried comforting him. She noticed in what tone he spoke and recognized it as the one she spoke in when talking about her father. It made her think he didn't live with his uncle without reason.
"But, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name." he finished.
Robin came standing next to Steve, leaning over him, "Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving, hearing June's stories.
"Oh, I'm just starting this sucker. Harrington's got her." Eddie leaned closer to Steve, "Don't you, big boy?"
