Y.E.L.L.O.W  S.E.A, 23:45

"S.W.A.T team captain, Yeonjun reporting! We have caught the signals of the ship, Sir. We are waiting for further orders," The captain informed.

"Is the backup team ready?" Namjoon asked over the mic as he signalled a few agents to take the lead and connect their servers to the field agents.

"Yes, sir! We are ready to attack," Yeonjun reported and saluted to show his respect.

"Kim Taehyung, analyse the number of victims over the ship and locate their current site. Guide the S.W.A.T members till the completion of the mission," Namjoon ordered.

"Aye aye captain! Let's finish this mission and go on a long honeymoon with Yoonie," Kim Taehyung mumbled a little too loud over the mic gaining a few stares from his colleagues.

Of course, it was a serious situation but Taehyung has encountered a lot of such situations and that's why he had grown resistant to stress. He loved keeping his head calm to tackle uninvited situations.

Cracking light jokes in the middle of an intense situation was a way for Taehyung to cope. But not everyone realises that. All they do is judge you without realising the depth of the situation.

Taehyung ignored the stares and worked towards forming a chain of connection between the agents inside the Base Station and the S.W.A.T members.

"Team Captain, Yeonjun! Do you hear me?" Kim Taehyung asked in a low commanding voice sending shivers down everyone's spine who were on call with him.

"Y..yes sir!" Yeonjun responded slightly intimidated by the male's deep voice.

"I didn't hear you. Be loud and clear!" Taehyung ordered.

"Yes, sir! Our team is ready and waiting for further orders," Yeonjun tried his best to maintain a straight posture and saluted from the other side not sure if Taehyung could see it.

A tear slipped off Taehyung's cheek as he was reminded of Jimin when he first joined the Base Station.

Working with Jimin was the best thing that Taehyung had ever experienced in his life. There were a lot of errors and mistakes in Taehyung's analysis back then but Jimin was smart enough to filter them and succeed in the missions and cover-up for Tae's mistakes.

It would be a lie if Taehyung said he doesn't miss working with him. It pricks his heart to know that the man is close by but yet so far. Their little conversations and perfect telepathies always helped them to save hundreds without a speck of flaw.

Taehyung missed his company. Nonetheless, he had to work even if it means to do it without Jimin.

"Enter the ship from the front part of the ship. The guards and shipmen have occupied the back; it is safe to enter the head and clear the way. The thermal images we just received point to a large number of people clustered in the centre portion of the ship. On the count of three, alert your men to enter the ship!" Taehyung skillfully typed the codes over the computer to organise the data received so far and send a copy to the analyst present beside Yeonjun.

"Did you hear that boys? Let's attack the ship on the count of three," Yeonjun addressed over the mic and in a minute several safety lanyards hooked over the railings of the suspected ship and the agents climbed to the top of the ship and gathered at the front of the ship.

Taehyung kept guiding Yeonjun through the blueprints he received at that moment and the latter open fired to kill all the men that came in his path to clear his way to enter inside.

The doors to the rooms opened and the S.W.A.T members barged in to take in all the hostages and checked all corners for any kind of explosives.

When the ship was found safe they started escorting the girls out of the rooms and soon helicopters arrived at the scene to escort the victims out of the ship.

"Caption, Yeonjun! What's the status?" Taehyung asked through the mic.

"We have located around forty girls so far, Sir. We are still looking through the basement and containment zone," Yeonjun replied as he escorted a few girls.

"Is there a guy among them?" Taehyung asked biting his lip.

"Huh? What do you mean, sir? We didn't receive any such notice."

"Search thoroughly! There must be a male hostage too," Taehyung yelled.

"Copied that!"

"Yoongi! What happened?" Namjoon asked through the mic as he rushed into the cabin.

"Why the fuck didn't the backup arrive!" Yoongi screamed through the headset as he watched the screen before with no visible movement.

"We got the information at the last moment that the victims were taken by the other route. Is everyone safe?" Namjoon asked with sweat bubbling over his head.

"A few agents that we had other than Jungkook have entered the suspected ship but there is no sign of people over there. It's too difficult to search for them in the dark." Yoongi informed and fell back in his seat.

"Wh...what do you mean?" Namjoon asked with worry filling up in his veins.

"I think J...Jimin killed Jungkook along with him. My last call with Jungkook ended with him uttering Jimin's name and after that, I couldn't receive any signal from him..." Yoongi's voice croaked as he put forth the last line.

"What do you mean Jimin is dead? Why would he kill himself?"

"I don't fucking care about why he did that. I just want Jungkook back!" Yoongi sobbed between his palms as he brought his knees close to his chest, scooting further into his chair.

"I call you back," Namjoon instantly cut the call and dialled another number.

A number that he trusted would have a reasonable answer for the mishap that just happened.

"Hello," the receiver answered.

"You said you would take care of Jungkook! What the fuck happened?" Namjoon yelled with the last bit of patience clicking his nerves.

"What are you talking about?" Jin asked casually.

"Hyung, this is a serious situation and I want you to"

"To what? Tell you what happened to Jungkook? Well, he just experienced his first failure, my love. Every agent has to face it to grow more cautious and stronger the next time-"

"Stop the bullshit! And tell me where is he?"

"You are the chief, Namjoon. Shouldn't you know where your agent is?" Jin challenges in a dangerously low tone.

"Why are you acting like this?" Namjoon asked plucking the side skin of his nail.

"When you are in a position of a superintendent, you should know better than anyone that any decision you take will always have great consequences for the people that trust you and work under you. You shouldn't have left the judgement in my hands and thought of a way to keep Jungkook safe with your will. As a chief, it was your duty to keep a check on all the agents that were sent on the mission under your orders-"

"Just tell me where Jungkook is, please," Namjoon's voice softened with tears building up in his orbs.

"It is a lesson that I expect you to never forget, Joon. Trust is built over words that take minutes to fall but a trust built over a bond stays forever. I shouldn't have been the person you should have trusted while guiding the mission, Joon. It should have been your brain and your agent that should have received the highest priority."

"There will be a day when a spy will be working just under your nose and you might turn a blind eye on them. Take this as the last lesson I teach you before leaving-"

"What do you mean by leaving?" Namjoon voice wavered as he heard those words.

"Jungkook is alive. You just need to find him and correct things in a way you are supposed to. Don't repeat the mistake I made, Joon. Trust your agent till the end and protect him till your last breath." With that Jin cut the call and Namjoon's multiple callbacks went in vain.

A/n:- Jin did receive data from Jimin about the Yellow sea Mission. But Namjoon didn't know the depth of the information and yet he blindly followed Jin's orders.

Jin had to teach Namjoon about his position as a head and have detailed data before making decisions.

Don't hate Jin, because the guy decided to teach the new Chief the set of protocols he should follow before relying on the information.

Also, where is Hobi?

How did Jikook escape after falling into the waters when Yoongi's team couldn't find them?
