Go Bald Sasori
Deidara let out an annoyed huff as he leaned back in his chair. His eyes were focused on the empty desk in front of him, as he frowned.
He had left the emo's house early in the morning, while both Gaara and Rin were still asleep. But now it was already 10:00!
Where is that shortie? Deidara impatiently thought as he glanced at the clock.
In the background, Ibiki's monotone voice rung out as he talked about the history of torture in Japan.
The bomber let out a huge yawn as he felt his eyelids droop. Usually someone would have tried to kill the teacher by now.
"Why isn't Hidan doing something, -un?" Deidara grumbled under his breath.
Then the bomber suddenly realized how strangely calm the classroom had been the entire morning.
Too calm...
He twisted his head around for the first time and gazed over the room. A bunch of students sat there either sleeping or bored out of their minds. And Itachi, Hidan and Sasori's desks were all empty.
Deidara's frown deepened as he turned back around, annoyance building up in his mind.
Where the hell is everyone, -un?!

Rin bolted down the sidewalk, leaving a trail of scattered leaves behind her as she turned the corner.
She took quick glances behind her, seeing the men fully clad in dark black suits; Pistols held in their hands as they calmly walked towards her.
Rin gritted her teeth as her eyes scanned for a hiding place. The men were hired "friends" of the debtors she had beat up yesterday. Apparently they wanted revenge.
Usually Rin would have stayed and fought, but grandfathers warning came into her mind. "Stay out of trouble." His cold voice echoed.
Grandfather would definitely punish her for failing her mission in teaching the debtors a lesson. And he would be even more furious if she got caught beating them up in broad daylight.
A cold chill went through the shortie's spine as her grandfather's dark face popped up in her mind. Rin almost felt like curling up into a fetal position right there, but she forced herself to remain focused.
*BANG*
A bullet whizzed straight past Rin's face, embedding itself in a nearby concrete wall. Pieces flew everywhere as the wall crumbled slightly. Rin cursed silently, while her feet started moving again.
*BANG*
More shots fired and flew past her. She exhaled heavy breaths from her mouth as she turned into an empty alleyway. Maybe I can finish them off here she thought to herself.
Her eyes darted left and right the moment she stepped into the veil of shadows. She knew the men would appear around the corner at any second.
The alleyway was also narrow, and It would only be a matter of time before she got shot. At that moment, the black haired kid caught sight of a broken shard of glass thrown in a pile of garbage to her right. An idea began to form in her mind.
Rin's ears perked up as she also heard the re-loading of a pistol in the distance. Her sense told her another bullet would be fired straight at the back of her head soon.
However, the shortie now stood rigid still. In her mind, she was preparing to leap to the side as the bullet shot, and throw the glass shard to decapitate her pursuers in the process.
*BANG*
Now! Rin thought in her mind.
Her muscles twitched as they began to move. Her arm stretched out with the sharp gleaming weapon held tightly in her grasp. And her eyes flickered behind to see a shadow of a man just peeking out from the corner, exposed.
*SLAM*
At that moment, another force rammed into her, sending her flying in a different direction.
The shortie's eyes widened in confusion as she tried to process what was happening. A pine smelling hand clasped over her mouth, as the person held her against the alley wall, concealing her.
She felt the person crouch over her practically strangling her as they hid in a large crack in the alleyway wall.
Rin was about to stab the unknown person in the neck when suddenly she heard approaching footsteps.
"Where'd that kid go?!" A gruff voice cursed as her pursuers walked down the concrete alley. Rin froze in her spot, catching sight of the men pass by. They were carefully scanning the floor, probably looking for a dead body.
"He must have run out the the end." Another claimed as he began to walk faster.
They all gave nods of approval before following the man, pistols primed to shoot.
Rin let her shoulders fall in relief as she heard the last footsteps leave. Then she realized her current position.
She immediately bite down hard on the hand that covered her mouth.
"OI...shortie!" screamed an all too familiar voice.
A glimmer of recognition flashed in Rin's eyes as she whipped around to find a red haired teen in front of her.
Sasori was tempted to kill the shortie right then and there, but the puppet master controlled his inner murderer and proceeded to pick up the kid, throwing him over his shoulder.
De ja vu much?
" What the hell are you doing?!" Rin asked as she began to squirm in Sasori's iron grip.
She threw a punch straight at his face. The puppet master reeled back at the force of the punch before tightening his grip, almost crushing Rin's stomach.
"I'll seriously kill you if you do that again." Sasori threatened in a low voice as he began to walk. " Anyway, you should be grateful that I rescued you, shortie."
This only caused Rin to squirm harder. " Rescue me?!" Rin shouted, " I never asked you to do that! I was actually doing perfectly fine without you." The kid added indignantly.
Sasori rolled his eyes. "Oh yeah, getting shot was completely fine." He replied sarcastically as he stepped onto the sidewalk.
" I was gonna jump out of the way." Rin defended under her breath. By now, she had stopped struggling. The waste in energy wasn't worth it.
Sasori gave a curious glance over at the shortie who now hung there limply. Even though the kid was talking tough, he could still see the mental exhaustion in the kid's eyes. His black hair hung limply around his face as he stared at the sidewalk behind them.
Those men had been chasing Rin for some reason. The red hair thought to himself. What had that kid done?
There was a long silence between the two as Sasori continued down the deserted street.
Finally Rin spoke. "So where are we going?" The shortie asked in a small voice.
A slight smirk appeared on the puppet master's face. " To study of course." He replied as his smirk turned into an evil grin. " Did you forget that I'm your tutor?"
He felt Rin immediately tensed up as the blood visibly drained from the black haired kid's face

One mile away, at Konaha Elite, Deidara sat up from his desk as he heard a small scream in the distance. His classmates also looked around in confusion at the sudden noise.
The blond shook his head as he stared out the window in the direction the sound had come from. " I must be losing it" he muttered to himself, " That sounded like Rin..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rin groaned as she tried to keep her eyes open. Her head bobbed up and down as she tried to fight of the drowsiness. So far she had spent the last seven hours listening to Sasori lecture about the formation of the various countries.
She held a notebook and pen in front of her as she sat at Sasori's desk. The red hair sat on his bed, reading from the textbook.
Sasori gritted his teeth as he gazed up to find the shortie dozing off again. At this rate the kid would fail the test on Friday, and he would have to pay Itachi!
The red hair racked his brain for a solution. The shortie always gets sidetracked too easily....he needs motivation.
Finally, a plan formed in Sasori's mind.
"Oi shortie." The puppet master suddenly called out, causing Rin to jolt up.
" I wasn't sleeping!" The kid immediately shouted as she covered her head to protect herself from any surprise ruler attacks.
Sasori gave a sigh." Calm down." He ordered as he rubbed his own head in frustration. "I just want to know what your favorite type of food is?" He asked in a monotone voice.
Rin raised an eyebrow in confusion. This wasn't a trick question right?
She glared at Sasori for a good five minutes as he sat there waiting.
"Kasugai Litchi Gummy."The shortie finally answered.
Her mouth actually stared watering as she imagined the sweet delicate taste of the fruity treat.
Grandfather refused to buy her such things as a child. He said they would spoil her, but Rin had always found ways to obtain the treat behind Grandfather's back.
While Rin daydreamed about the treat, Sasori got up from his position tossing a couple of blank pages at The shortie's face.
" Here's the deal then" the red hair proposed " I'll give you an entire bag of Litchi gummy if you can write a passage in Sentinelese by the time I get back ."
Rin's mouth dropped at the request.
That stupid language that was on the test?! I don't even know where it's from!
She sat their in shock as Sasori continued to head towards the door. The red hair stopped right in the doorway, his hand on the handle.
"Oh, and since you probably won't be able to finish, I'll just eat the bag right in front of your face ...idiot..." He said with a fake smile.
Then the puppet master walked out.
Rin snapped back out of shock at the red hair's words.
What....did...he...say?
She clenched her fists as her eyes burned like flames, filled with both the desire to eat Litchi candy and prove that puppet freak wrong.
" Go bald Sasori! " Rin swore as she picked up her pencil, and a book on various languages. Her eyes were filled with determination. " I'll definitely prove you wrong!" She screamed.
From the other side of the door, the red hair smirked as he heard the shortie's fueled screaming.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
(30 minutes later)
Sasori re-entered the base with a plastic bag filled with Litchi gummy. The house was currently empty, seeing as Pein had sent both Itachi and Hidan out on missions, and Deidara was at school.
That stupid blond would probably be angry to find that everyone had ditched him.
The puppet master strolled over to his room, stopping at the door to see if he heard the shortie.
He was expecting to hear the kid still cursing him out or telling him to go bald, but strangely not a single sound came from the door.
Strange...
Sasori waited a few more seconds, before slowly opening the door and walking in.
" Oi, Kid, did you give up already?" He asked as his eyes flickered over to the desk that Rin sat at.
Rin didn't reply. The black haired kid remained crouched over the desk, face staring straight at the page as his hair covered most of his head.
Sasori raised an eyebrow. " So you're ignoring me now because you couldn't get it?" He scowled slightly annoyed that the kid wasn't replying.
He walked over to the Kid and stood right next to him, waiting for Rin say something or at least beg him for candy, but the shortie continued to state downward.
What's wrong with the kid?
Suddenly Sasori heard a slight snore. He also noticed Rin's back as it rose and fell evenly.
The red hair froze. He felt his eyebrow twitch again as an irk mark formed on his forehead.
This kid...
fell asleep...
Sasori's hand grabbed the ruler on the desk and lifted it high as a dark glint appeared in his eye.
This shortie's going to wish he were never born after I'm done... The puppet mater thought as he raised the wooden stick.
But before Sasori could whack Rin into next thursday, He noticed the black ink on the page that sat in front of Rin.
What's this?
The red hair slowly lowered his weapon and peeked over the sleeping shortie's shoulder.
To his surprise, there was a small passage written on the page in clear black ink. The words started out readable, though the sentence structures were crude. As the letters continued down the page, the strokes became prominently more and more uneven and shaky.
Sasori could almost imagine the shortie fighting off exhaustion as he wrote the final few characters, his head bobbing up and down, in and out of sleep.
The puppet master's eyes scanned down the page checking each letter. When he reached the bottom, he noticed a few extra messy characters scrawled there:
はげる
Go bald...
A small smirk came onto the red hair's face even though it was an insult.
He placed the ruler back in its previous position, and pulled out the bag of litchi, placing it in plain view in front of Rin. The red hair stared at the sleeping kid for a moment.
" Hmm...You actually did well, Shortie." He whispered as his hand reached out to pat the black haired kid's head.
At that moment, Rin let out a small snore.
The puppet master froze, his fingers centimeters away from Rin. His eyes visibly widened as he realized what he was about to do.
He pulled back his hand and immediately whipped around, storming towards the exit. He closed the door quietly behind him and leaned against it, standing in the hallway.
Sasori scowled as he stared at his hand.
He was a cold hearted member of the Akatsuki.
He killed people who had gotten in his way.
No way was he letting an insignificant shortie turn him into a softie.
"It's just for the bet." Sasori told himself. "I'll get rid of him after this week is over." He swore. Then he turned and walk back down the hallway
