Weekend with the Weasel
Rin gave a small scowl as she viciously scratched her head for the seventh time that night. Her hand ran through the fake strands of dark brown hair that were currently biting into her scalp and making it itch like hell.
Damn weasel. The shortie grumbled to herself as she scratched harder. Making me wear this stupid disguise.
The black haired teen took one final glance at herself in the car mirror, freezing momentarily in surprise. She couldn't even recognize the surprisingly feminine girl staring back at her.
Rin fumbled with her dress, to distract herself from the uncomfortable feeling she felt. The dress material was flimsy and light, but it allowed for good mobility at least. She made sure the glass vial of poison was secure in the tiny pocket sewn between the folds of the midnight black dress. Then she took one final breath before turning to face the entrance. The shortie stood there observing for a moment as elaborately dressed men and women streamed through the guarded gates.
Okay, let's do this. The shortie thought to herself as she began to follow them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, she's hot right-un?" Deidara asked casually as he motioned to a random girl in the crowd of people.
"Yeah." Sasori replied with disinterest from next to him. The two were in a corner of the the decorated room a little bit separated from the rest of the guests. Classical music and loud chatter filled the air, and multiple tables were stacked with food, but Sasori didn't care about any of it.
"Come on, Sasori!" Deidara complained as he furrowed his brow, "You didn't even turn to look."
Sasori just ignored the comment, keeping his eyes facing forward as he leaned against the wall. The red head was trying his best to block out the annoying thing that was next to him, but it was currently poking him in the shoulder, almost as if asking to be killed.
Deidara frowned as he gave the motionless Sasori another poke. He felt a twinge of annoyance at the puppet freak's lack of enthusiasm. "You're such a stick in the mud." Deidara mumbled under his breath just loud enough for the red head to hear. Then he threw his hands out in exasperation, " This is a party, Sasori, you seem like you're at a funeral-un."
Sasori didn't reply for a moment. A dark shadow seemed to fall over him, sending the temperature in the corner plummeting. Then the puppet freak slowly turned his head to Deidara, his face holding a murderous look on it. " I already said this before. I don't give a fuck about this party." He replied in an icy voice before resuming his previous position.
The bomber didn't dare to say anything more to Sasori, sensing the killing intent that was seething off the teen's body. He turned away with another frown as he grumbled under his breath. "Stupid stick in the mud."
From his peripheral vision, Deidara saw Sasori begin to silently walk away; his hands in his pockets. The blond immediately turned back around with confusion in his voice. " Oi, where are you going?" He called out.
The red head didn't break stride or even turn around. " I'm leaving" he said. "Itachi doesn't even need us here." Deidara couldn't even say anything else before Sasori had disappeared in the crowd. The bomber frowned again.
"Well I'm gonna go have fun." He mumbled to himself as he looked around the crowd for some hot chick to woo. His eyes fell on a tall, blonde haired girl in a bright crimson dress. Deidara gave a smirk as he began to walk towards her. Itachi had told both of them to remain in the corner, but he probably wouldn't notice if he left for just a little while.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Itachi had been scouting out the area for the target when the cold voice called out to him. "Ah, Uchiha. So nice you could make it." It greeted.
The raven teen turned around to find a sickly pale man with slick black hair standing in front of him. He gave a polite bow to the elderly man, taking his time to make note of the man's tone. He seemed to radiate arrogance.
"Sorry, but I don't know who you are." The teen replied in a formal tone. The pale man in front of him gave a small chuckle at this, watching the Itachi with his sharp golden eyes.
"Disappointing, Uchiha, your father and I are good acquaintances," he said in a mockingly sad tone. Then the man held out a hand " Orochimaru-San." He introduced with a slight smirk.
Itachi just nodded as he shook the hand, but on the inside his suspicion of the man grew. The raven teen was well knowledgable about his father's business, and he knew for a fact that father was not friends with this man. The name Orochimaru did seem familiar however, but he just couldn't remember.
Nevertheless the teen played along, "Ah yes, Orochimaru-San, good to finally meet you." He said with a fake smile.
"You too, Uchiha," The man replied, his sickly grin still on his face, "Actually I've been meaning to ask you how the prototype your father designed is going."
Itachi continued to smile, but in his mind he was quickly remembering old memories. A man, pale,..yes..a month ago he had read it on the company employee report...His father had fired one of the head designers for selling information to competitors....This man must have been him.
Itachi casually returned his attention back to the man who was watching him intently. Could he be anymore obvious? The raven teen feigned a frown. " Sorry," he said, "My father and I aren't actually on taking terms." The fact wasn't a lie in itself. Itachi mainly stayed at Pein's house, only rarely going back home, but that didn't stop him from borrowing father's "top secret" files, just to keep the company in check.
The prototype that Orochimaru seemed to still be interested in was one that father had been obsessing over for quite a few years. The details were muddled in the reports, but it seemed to be some sort of device to make a person younger. Either way, every competitor of Uchiha Corporations was trying to get their hands on the device, including the man before him.
The raven teen observed the slight look of annoyance that briefly fluttered past Orochimaru's face at his response, disappearing just as fast as it arrived.
"That's a shame." The pale man replied, barely keeping his voice in the same lightness. "I thought he would trust his own son about these things." Then Orochimaru abruptly turned away. " I'll just take my leave then, Uchiha." He added as he melted into the crowd.
Itachi watched calmly as the bob of slick black hair disappeared. I can't worry about him now. The raven teen thought to himself, repressing the urge to follow the man. The mission comes first.

Rin gritted her teeth as she felt the back of the high heels scrap against her ankles. She sucked in a sharp breathe to restrain herself from yanking off the shoes that moment and chucking them at the nearest person. Calm down and just find the person. The shortie repeated to herself as she weaved around the crowd of elegantly dressed people.
After a few minutes of searching, a voice caught her attention in the distance.
"Roshi-San! So nice to see you here!" A man called out. Rin immediately twisted her head towards the voice to find a dark haired man, shaking hands with an elderly red head. Her eyes locked on the elderly red head who replied to the man with a solemn nod.
That's him. The shortie thought as she felt inside her hidden pocket. Her sweaty fingers wrapped around the cold vial. I just have to slip this in his drink.
Almost as if destined, the black haired man suddenly motioned a waiter over who carried two half filled wine glasses with him. Rin observed everything from her position a few feet away. Her eyes followed the waiters footsteps as the man skillfully swerved around the crowd, the tray held in front of him.
Now. The shortie told herself as he walked in front of her. She instinctively pushed her feet forward, falling sideways and desperately flailing her arms as she tried to grab onto something. Her hands fell on a the man's firm arm. "Oh! I'm so sorry." Rin exclaimed as she steadied herself on the waiters arm. "I'm so clumsy in these shoes." She added with a small laugh.
The waiter just nodded, " It's fine young miss." He replied back as he helped the shortie steady herself. In a quick flash Rin tipped the contents of her clear vial into the both glass drinks. Seconds later, the now empty vial was safely tucked in her hidden pocket.
Rin gave another smile as she bowed to the waiter. "Thank you for the help." She said gratefully as she turned to leave. From the corner of her eye, she watched as the waiter turned as well and continued his journey to the two men.
Mission accomplished. Rin told herself with a satisfied smirk. But the smile soon disappeared as she felt a sudden shiver crawl down her back.
Her eyes made contact with the coal black ones.
Roshi stood there, staring straight at her, almost as if he saw through her entire act.
No way. Rin told herself as she broke her gaze and began to walk away quickly. She had moved faster then any human eye could have seen. She was sure about that. He's just probably suspicious that such a small girl is at such an elaborate part-
The shortie's path was suddenly cut off as two burly men in dark suits walked in front of her. Their shades covered their eyes, but the shortie could feel their gazes on her. Nevertheless she still put on a smile. "Umm, excuse me." She said in a quiet voice. "I uh.. have to get by...." Then she began to walk around the two men.
The hands flew out like lightning, gripping both of Rin's arms. "What the hell!" Rin began to shout, all former shyness gone.
The men didn't reply as they began to carry her away. The shortie felt the gaze of surprised guests as they saw the small girl being dragged away.
Tch. Rin scowled. If I beat up these morons here , it'll cause an even bigger scene. She tried to keep her head up and observe where they were taking her. As they walked past the main group of guests, the men began to head towards a back door. Rin smiled to herself. I'll beat them up once we get outside.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What the hell!" A voice roared out, sending the rest of the guests into a short silence. Deidara lifted his head at the voice, looking around quickly.
"Hey, are you alright?" The blonde he had been talking to asked as she fluttered her eyes. She gave a small pout at the fact that Deidara had suddenly lost interest in her.
The bomber immediately snapped his attention back to her, flashing her a small smile. "Sorry -un." He apologized as he shook his head. "A moment ago I thought I heard a friend's voice. Silly huh?" He added with a light laugh.
But Even though he seemed calm on the outside, in his mind, a war was going on.
It's the shortie right-un! That's his girly voice! He must be in trouble. The first voice shouted.
Shut up! You're delusion-un! You idiot! The second voice screamed back.
Well you're fat! The first voice retorted.
Well you're ugly! The second voice spat
HAMBURGER KILLER!
MIRROR MURDERER!
"Oi shut up-un!" Deidara suddenly screamed out loud. His head fell silent, as he heard only his own voice echo against the building walls.
"Deidara,...you sure you're alright?" The girl asked again with concern, taking a cautious step backwards as she did. Is this guy actually a lunatic? She wondered to herself. He was just taking to himself.
Deidara blinked once, coming to his senses again. He straightened his back and cleared his throat. "Ah, yes. I'm uh...fine -un." He mumbled, but he couldn't even convince himself with the words. His head turned to the distance where, he noticed a small clump of guest gathered. The bomber's eyes suddenly narrowed as he saw a flash of black hair and a wave of a skirt.
"Uh..I have to see something!" he abruptly said to the girl next to him.
"What?" She asked back with surprised confusion. But Deidara had already left toward the crowd, not even giving a second glance.
The girl gave an annoyed huff as she watched him leave. He is a lunatic. She thought to herself.
Itachi knew that something had gone wrong when he heard Rin's angry voice ring out. The raven teen gave an internal sigh in his head. That shortie. He cursed to himself. What the hell did she fuck up now?
It didn't take long to locate Rin. A huge crowd had gathered to watch, and Itachi easily spotted the shortie being dragged away by the two burly men. He gritted his teeth as he began to head in their direction. If that kid isn't already dead, I'm gonna kill him for sure. He vowed to himself.
Suddenly a flash of blond caught his eye as a figure raced past him. His eyes widened as he processed who it was.
"Oi Deidara!" Itachi shouted out as he quickly grabbed the blond's shirt collar. Deidara let out a chocking noise as he felt his collar restrain him.
The bomber came to a screeching halt, and whipped around like lightning. "What, Itachi -un!" He angrily complained as he rubbed his neck, "You trying to kill me or something?"
"Where are you going?" Itachi asked back casually, completely ignoring the blond's previous question.
Deidara just put his hand behind his head, giving a slight scowl as his gaze continued to flicker past Itachi, "Nowhere -un, I just uh..thought I saw someone..it's nothing really." He replied quickly.
Itachi wasn't fooled one bit. That shortie he groaned again in his mind. To Deidara, Itachi continued to remain calm. The raven teen slowly lifted a hand and motioned to the exit. "Out" he ordered, his voice filled with authority.
Deidara looked up in surprise," What?" He asked, checking to see if he heard right.
Itachi gave a sigh as he strained to keep his voice quiet. "Leave." he said, "I don't need you here anyway. The mission is over, so get out now."
The coldness in Itachi's voice seemed to stab straight through Deidara. The bomber could only give a small, shaking nod before turning and walking away.
W-w hat's his problem- un? Deidara grumbled to himself as he made his way to the front of the building.
Itachi continued to watch silently as the blob of blond hair disappeared. You owe me for this, shortie. He thought to himself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rin counted silently in her mind as the men took the final few footsteps to the back entrance.
Five.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe, loosening her muscles to the point of no resistance.
Four.
As she calmed her thoughts, she felt the men's grip loosen. A grin came to her face. Their first mistake.
Three.
The man on her right side held out his hand to grip the doorknob, turning the metal handle slowly.
Two.
The other man watched silently as the first opened the door, letting go of Rin in the process.
One.
They entered the dark room. And the door began to swing shut.
*BANG*
The first man didn't even know what attacked him before he was knocked cold. The second one could only let out a muffled yelp before a fist pummeled him in the stomach and knocked the wind clean out of him. He crumpled to the ground on top of the first man.
*click*
Suddenly blinding lights flashed on momentarily blinding Rin. She felt a leg sweep under her and knock her to the ground.
Damn shoes. The shortie cursed as she landed ungraceful landed on the ground.
Suddenly a deep laughter boomed. "Haha, quiet impressive." It commented as steady footsteps approached Rin. The dark haired teen looked upward to find Roshi staring back at her, his face now held a twisted smirk, and a glimmer of light burned in his pitch black eyes.
Rin just scowled, as she began to stand up again. Roshi just watched the teen get up, taking note of her movement. "They must really be desperate now." He said, causing Rin to freeze in her spot. " To send a fragile and week teenage girl to assassinate me." He added his a laugh. "Now that's just sa-"
*BANG*
The fist rammed into the concrete wall, inches away from Roshi's face, leaving a good size dent. Rin scowled at the fact that he had dodged the attack. "I'm not a weak and fragile girl." She replied slowly, her gaze never leaving the man's face.
Roshi smirked again, turning his gaze to the damage in the wall, "I noticed." He commented as he reverted his attention back to the shortie. "That tripping act was executed very well also." he added, " So what is it then?"
Rin tilted her head in confusion, "What?" She asked.
"What's the reason." Roshi clarified, "I've heard a lot of them, they come to kill me for money...power...revenge....so what's your reason then?"
"I don't have one." Rin replied firmly.
Roshi just nodded as if the world had suddenly become clear. " Ah, I should have known." He said almost to himself as a grin came to his face again. "Then I'll make you a deal."
The man suddenly walked into an adjacent room with a single a table in the middle, where two very familiar glass bottles stood. "One of them I poured out the poison and replaced it with just wine. The other is still poisoned." He explained as he looked at Rin. " Chose one to drink and I'll drink the other one. Chose right, I die. But, if you chose wrong then you'll die. Simple right?"
Rin's eyes narrowed as she stared at the glasses, " Why are you doing this?" She asked.
Roshi just smiled. "Because it's fun." He replied. "To watch the assassins assassinate themselves."
Rin felt her blood run cold, The smile on Roshi's face seemed a little too overjoyed as he described the reason.
"I will tell you two things though. First of all, I've never lost this game with the hundreds of people I've played it with before. Second...I think you should pick the first glass."
The room fell silent as Rin processed the man's words. He's enjoying this. She thought to herself as she looked from one glass to the other.
Damn. They both looked the same. Every minute seemed like an hour as Rin tried to decide. Itachi. Where the hell are you, you damn weasel!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Itachi waited till the crowd dispersed before walking towards the back door, his hands fumbled to quickly unlock the lock. The door gave a soft clicked before opening slightly, and the raven teen slipped through the crack. His feet immediately came into contact with the two unconscious bodies of the burly guards.
Hmm, the shortie handled them well. He thought to himself with a slight grin.
Up ahead, he heard muffled voices, one distinctly Rin's and another lower own. The raven teen moved slowly, focusing on concealing his feet. As he gently creeped forward, the voices grew clearer.
"Just chose a drink." The deeper voice said. "That's all it takes to kill me."
Itachi peeked his head through the door way to find the shortie standing in front of a brightly lite table, with two wine glasses in front of her. Yoton no Roahi stood towering next to her, his eyes equally intent on the glasses.
She suddenly flicked her head over to Roshi, "You promise you'll drink the other one, no matter what I chose?" She asked. The red head just nodded. "Of course," he replied, "I never go back on a promise."
"Shake on it." Rin demanded, sticking out her hand. Roshi took the hand and gave a firm hand shake. "No chose already." He said.
Itachi watched, slightly confused at what was going on. What the hell is that shortie doing?
But before he could figure it out, Rin pointed a finger to the second glass. "That one" she said firmly.
Roshi let out a roar, " Ah so you don't trust me the-"
"Is the one you will drink" Rin finished as she took a hold of the first glass.
"Oh." Roshi replied again, but the smirk was still on his face. "Very well then." He added as he took the second glass in his hands and held it.
"To life." He said with a knowing smile as he lifted the glass. Rin did the same to hers. Then both brought the cups to their lips and downed the contents.
*Thump*
Itachi froze as he suddenly saw the shortie collapse. Her knees crumpled and hit the concrete before the rest of her body followed. What the hell?! He thought to himself, his eyes widening.
Roshi's voice roared in laughter again as he reached into his pocket. "You chose wrong, little girl." He murmured as he fumbled around for an object. "But then again, their was no way to chose right in the first place...since they were both poisoned. In the end, the one who has the antidote is the true winn-"
Roshi's voice cut off as he felt that his pocket was completely empty. His turned wide as he searched frantically. "What?! Where the hell is it?"
Suddenly a small laughter came from the ground as Rin's body began to shake. She weakly held up a small container with purple liquid, "Looking for this?" She asked in a raspy voice between coughs.
Roshi's voice began to quiver as his eyes fell on the antidote. "Y-you..how did you.." His mind flashed back as he found the answer and his eyes grew dark. "The handshake."
"The key to a good pickpocket is too distract the one you're stealing from." Rin managed to say, her hand gripping around the container to losses the cap. She just needed to drink it.
But before she could do anything, Roshi lunged forward, a sharp knife held high. He let out a deafening scream as he attacked.
*BANG*
The red haired man froze as he felt a sharp blade pierce through him. His trembling eyes looked up to the crimson eyes staring back down at him. "You?" He asked in a soft voice, as his own grip on his knife loosened. The metal clattered to the ground, filling the silence.
"I never fail a mission." The raven teen replied coldly. Then he yanked the bloodied blade out, allowing the limp body to collapse behind him.
Without turning around, he spoke to the shortie. "Oi, hurry up and drink that, you retard."
Rin couldn't help but give a weak smile as she brought the antidote to her lips, the burning sensation in her heart lifted immediately, and her eyes drooped with drowsiness.
*Thump*
Itachi whipped around as he heard the body hit the ground. He found the shortie knocked out, her breathing heavy as she slept.
He gave another internal sigh as he kneeled down next to Rin. His hands gently lifted the teen up and placed her limp body on his back.
Just this one time. He told himself. This one time I won't kill you for being such an idiot.
Then Itachi turned to the exit, with the shortie on his back.
But if you drool on me, you're dead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<Later>
Rin jolted up as she felt her stomach growl angrily. Every part of her body ached and her head was ringing loudly. As she tried to focus her eyes, her vision of her surroundings cleared. She was sitting on a bed in a simple room. A study desk stood next to her and a massive bookcase filled with books on Japanese business books covered the other corner.
At that moment the door opened. Rin let out a scream at the sight before her.
Itachi sighed a frown on his face. "Oi, stop being annoying so early." He grumbled as he rubbed his ear. Rin blinked once, gripping her heart as she tried to recover from the shock.
"Sorry." She mumbled still dazed. " It's just that...you're wearing a pink dress."
*BANG*
Itachi fist rammed into the shortie's head, sending her slamming into the bed.
"It's an apron, you moron." Itachi growled back, the annoyance clear in his face.
"Owww, you're not suppose to hit a sick person." Rin complained back as she rubbed her head. "Why the hell are you wearing a pink apron anyway?"
Itachi didn't reply, instead he dropped a bowl of porridge in front of Rin. The shortie stared at the food for a few seconds in surprise, "Y-you...made this?" She asked, still in shock.
"Don't think I'm being nice,"Itachi grumbled back, "I just felt like making i-"
"It taste like sweaty feet." Rin interrupted as she spit out a piece of the porridge.
*BANG*
The shortie let out a muffled curse as she rubbed her bruised head.
"You better eat all of that you ungrateful bastard." Itachi threatened in an icy voice. Rin just nodded her head quickly, picking up a spoon and swallowing the rest of the gruel.
"Look I'm eating...yum-..."
The shortie suddenly froze as a fit of coughs overtook her. Itachi turned around to see the cover of the bed stained bright blood.
"Oi-" he began as he started to walk back to the shortie.
Rin managed to control the coughing, wiping away the remains blood in her mouth, "I'm fine." She said as she cleared her throat, "My body's just getting rid of the last bit of poison, I'm used to this stuff anywa-"
Itachi lightly thumped Rin on her head, making her freeze mid-sentence. "Tch." He replied, "I don't care about your life. Now hurry up, we're late for school."
Then he turned away without another word.
Rin stood their frozen for a moment. Then the words Itachi had said finally sunk in.
"Wait.....did you say school?!"
"Yeah," Itachi replied casually as he opened the door, "You slept through the entire Sunday. It was really annoying too since you snore."
Then raven haired walked out, letting the door close behind him.
Rin just blinked once, then again, then she let out a tired groan.

<Konaha Elite>
"School trip?" The class chorused all at once with excitement.
"Yes," Ibiki-sensei ruefully replied as he gazed the group of rowdy kids. "The principle believes it's good to encourage bonding with classmates, so we are having a school trip."
As the boys began to chat loudly about places, the classroom door slid open, and a familiar short black haired kid stumbled in. "Sasaki. Late." Ibiki-sensei barked out as he watched the kid get walk to his seat.
"Ah...sorry sensei."Rin apologized half-heartily. Truthfully, she was too starving to care. Itachi's "breakfast" had already made her throw up twice.
Ibiki-sensei just let out a sigh as he saw the shortie sit down. "Well since everyone is here now, let's vote for the place that we will visit."
The room immediately filled with suggestions.
"London!"
"No! Paris!"
"I want to go to Kenya!"
Ibiki let out an exasperated sigh before slamming his fists down on the table. The room filled with silence. "Those places are too expensive, chose one near Tokyo, or we won't participate at all." He ordered.
The class stared at each other as each tried to figure out a good choice.
Deidara watched as the Rin's head bobbed down and his shoulders slumped in sleep. The thought that Rin had been at that party still bugged him, but the person causing the commotion had been wearing a dress. It couldn't have been Rin...unless...
The bomber froze in his thought and shook his head to try to clear his mind. Idiot, what's wrong with you! He shouted to himself. But he needed to find out.
"Ibiki-sensei"
Ibiki looked up to find Deidara with his hand raised. He nodded for the boy to speak.
"How about the beach?" The bomber asked.
The class immediately chorused in agreement.
Ibiki rubbed his chin as he gave the idea some thought. "Yes, the beach would do just fine."
At that moment, a hand in the back raised up. "Sensei." Itachi called out. "I do not approve of the beach, it's too hot for that."
Deidara turned around to find Itachi gazing straight back at him as he spoke. " There might be some people here who also don't like the beach as well."
Deidara' eyes narrowed in suspicion at Itachi's words. What is he doing? The bomber wondered.
"Well let's have a vote then." Ibiki proposed. "All in favor of the beach raise your hand."
Deidara watched as most of the class raised their hand. Among the very few that didn't were Itachi, Sasori, and Rin, who had fallen asleep.
"That settles it then"Ibiki said. "The trip will begin tomorrow and the buses will leave 7:00 sharp." The Ibiki turned to the blackboard. "Now open your history textbooks to page 434 and follow along."
Deidara let out a pent up sigh as the matter settled. He felt his eyes wonder to the shortie who continued to sleep soundly in front of him. A frown came to his face as he watched Rin's back rise up and down slowly.
I'll definitely find who you really are, Rin Sasaki.
