What!?...You're stupid?!

Rin walked back into class with an idiotic smile stuck on her face, as she continued to think about her new friend.

Grandfather had forbidden friendships in the past. They were considered weaknesses, but he had specifically commanded her to befriend the boy called Sabaku No Gaara. Apparently his family had many talents that grandfather believed would benefit them in the future.

Even though Rin was only following orders, she was still overjoyed at finally having a friend.

I wonder what friends are suppose to do? She pondered to herself as she suddenly realized she actually had no idea. I'll need to do some research later.

As Rin plopped down in her seat, she noticed a piece of paper sitting in front of her. "What's this?" she asked with confusion as she saw the thousands of lines written on the page.

"It's a test." said a deep voice.

Rin gazed up to find another new teacher towering above her desk. He wore a pitch black trench coat and his tanned face was deformed from a large gash that reached from his forehead to his chin.

The man curled his lip up in a dark smirk, "I'm your new teacher, Ibiki Morino." he introduced, turning to the rest of the class. "But you will remember me as your own personal hell."

His voice projected a wave of authority, silencing the entire room.

Hidan sat in the back, gritting his teeth angrily. He hadn't expected them to send Ibiki to be their next teacher. They must have run out of substitutes.

Deidara let out a small groan from his seat. Ibiki wouldn't get chased off like the other weak teachers. He was one of Konaha Elite's permanent professors. That alone showed that he wasn't someone you wanted to mess with.

Ibiki glared at each student in the class, enjoying the way a few of them trembled in fear. However, others just glared straight back at him defiantly. These runts needed to learn their place at this school.

"This test will determine your worth in my eyes." Ibiki continued as he walked slowly back to the front of the classroom. His heavy footsteps resounded against the marble floor.

"If you fail. You WILL be expelled." He turned quickly on his heel as he emphasized each word.

The class immediately exploded in complaints.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" screamed Hidan.

"I ain't doing this, -un!" growled Deidara.

"Can I go to the bathroom?" Asked Kankuro.

"SILENCE." Ibiki shouted, causing everyone to freeze from the raw force of his words.

" You have the rest of class to finish." he tersely stated. Then he sat down in the front seat and crossed his arms, waiting.

The class began to grudgingly pick up their pencil and start the test. Ibiki observed everyone, watching for cheaters. His dark eyes scanned the room and fell on a short kid with black hair sitting in the front.

The kid was still holding the page in his hands, staring at it with wide eyes.

What the hell is that kid doing? Ibiki thought as he glared at the boy suspiciously.

Rin Sasaki had once beaten up 40 armed men with her arms tied behind her back. She had skydived from 5000 ft into a pool of piranha infested waters. She had even eaten a bucket full of wasabi without shedding a single tear.

But sitting here right now staring at the page filled with meaningless markings. Rin was speechless.

She hadn't heard anything the scar faced teacher had said after the word "Test."

Her mind felt like it was spinning as the words seemed to fly off the page straight at her.

Okay, calm down....you can do this. She reasoned to herself as she tried to focus on the first question. Question 1: If there is one piece of candy in a jar of and the amount doubles each second for an entire year on what day will the jar be 1/4 full, and how many pieces of candy will be in the jar?

Rin grimaced as she felt a headache begin to form. Okay...skip that one.

She quickly scanned the rest of the page for an easier problem....

Question 2: List all 50 states of America in order of population size.

Question 5: If you needed to feed the entire continent of Africa, how many wheat fields of 5x5 acres would you need to grow, and which country would you grow it in for maximum yield.

Question 13: Write your name.....Rin let out a triumphant smile as she read this one.

Yes! I can do this one! She thought, but her smile soon disappeared as she saw the rest of the question

.....in Sentinelese.

What...? What the hell is Sentinelese anyway!?

The shortie let out a small groan as she slammed her head down on the desk in defeat. I hate tests! I hate my life!
I hate highschool!

(Two hours later)

The school bell rang, dismissing the class. One by one, Ibiki handed the students their test scores before they left.

"For those of you who failed, I will give you a second chance on Friday to pass." Ibiki spoke sternly to the class. "But don't think of it as pity ." He added as he gave a sadistic smile, "I just want more students to torture."

As the class streamed out of the room, Deidara strolled over to the back.

"Hey Sasori, what did you get, -un?" The blond asked as he curiously poked his head over Sasori's shoulder.

"Why the hell do you want to know." Sasori grumbled as he covered the test result Ibiki had given him.

Deidara crossed his arms, "Who says I wanted to know." he huffed, but his eyes continued to take quick glance at Sasori's paper. " I probably got a better score anyway." he muttered under his breathe. No way would I lose to a puppet obsessed freak.

Sasori smirked as he heard Deidara's comment, "Do you really believe that you could ever beat me?" he challenge arrogantly, "Even your taste in Art is inferior to mine."

Deidara scowled, "Oh yeah, then what did you get, -un?"

"99" Sasori said in a deadpan voice.

Deidara froze, took one look at Sasori's page that had the number 99/100 written on the top, and then walked out of the room.

Sasori couldn't help another smirk as he heard the sound of screaming and explosion going off in the hallway.

Suddenly the room dropped a couple of degrees and an icy chill crawled down his spine. Sasori glanced up, looking around for the source of the sudden shift in temperature.

His eyes fell on a certain shortie who was sitting at his desk with his paper in front of him. A wave of dark smoke seemed to surround the shortie in a depressing embrace. Sasori could practically see the mourning souls that twirled around the kid's head.

The red haired teen slowly got up from his seat and walked over to Rin. His eyes fluttered across the page that the guy was staring at.

Zero.....

Sasori froze. "How the hell did you manage to get a zero?" he exclaimed.

He hadn't meant to say it out loud, but the score had just shocked him so much.

Sasori watched as the shortie turned his head upward slowly. Anime tears streaming down his face as he scrunched his eyes.

"I didn't understand anything on this test." The kid whined, before banging his head against the desk.

Sasori felt like someone had just shot him in the head. His eyebrow began to twitch slightly as he stared at the teen.

How the fuck did you even get into this school?

At that moment Sasori heard a small chuckle. He turned to see Itachi walk past the row of desks, "I'll be expecting that two hundred bucks, Sasori." Itachi teased before he walked out the door.

Sasori growled as he watched the raven hair boy leave. No way in hell am I paying that pretty boy a single cent.

The red hair turned back with new determination in his eyes. "Shortie..." he said in a quite voice to Rin who was still crying in her arms.

"Oi .....Shortie."

Rin continued to ignore Sasori, groaning loudly.

A visible irk mark appeared on the red head's face. His eyes turned a shade darker.

I fucking hate you Itachi. Sasori thought as he picked the shortie up by his shirt and flung the kid over his shoulder.

"What the hell are you doing?" Rin asked half-heartily as she felt herself being lifted up by the Akatsuki member. She could have snapped the guy's neck, but right now the test score had drained her will to live.

A zero. She had never gotten a zero in her entire life.....Well all her previous "tests" had been beating up the bodyguards, or shooting targets blindfolded. But still! A zero?!

"If I get reborn, I want to be a clam, this life sucks* "Rin mumbled under her breath, as the wave of depression increased tenfold.

"Just shut up." Sasori grumbled as he whacked the shortie on the head. "I'm going to tutor you." The red head added, not looking at Rin.

After a few seconds, Rin's eyes grew a size wider as her brain registered what the guy had just said. "Really?" she asked, head raised and her voice a pitch higher then she intended.

Sasori rubbed his ear before sending the kid a glare, "Don't make me change my mind." he threatened, causing Rin to immediately shut her mouth and return to her original position. Sasori then proceeded to carry her out of the classroom.

"Why are you doing this?" Rin asked softer as Sasori trudged down the hallway.

"I don't have two hundred bucks." Sasori growled back.

The response confused Rin, but she didn't dare ask the Red head what he meant. She knew when a person was pissed off and right now this guy was just at the cracking point.

Rin released a small sigh as she hung limply over the guy's shoulder. She didn't even know his name.

"I swear it was Sasori!" Kiba exclaimed as he described what he had seen. Around him sat Naruto, Shikamaru, Neji, and Sasuke.

"Are you sure it wasn't just some other red haired kid?" Shikamaru questioned with an eyebrow raised.

Kiba shook his head, "It was definitely Sasori, even his scent was the same."

"Wait Kiba." Naruto interrupted, "So you're saying that you saw Sasori walking down the hall with the new kid flung over his shoulder? The same new kid that was talking to Gaara at lunch?" He asked with disbelief.

"For once, Naruto has a point" Neji added.

Naruto grinned before fully comprehending what Neji implied. "Hey what's that suppose to mean." the blondie scowled as he put his face in front of Neji.

"Stop it, Naruto." Sasuke interrupted as he glared at the blonde teen. Then he turned back to the brown haired wolf boy. "Are you sure it was the same guy, Kiba?"

"Positive." Kiba replied with absolute certainty.

Sasuke remained calm as he processed this new information. First Gaara, now Sasori.

Gaara was leaning at the front entrance of the gate to the school. He watched calmly as people passed him. All of them gave him wary glances and skirted around his unmoving body, leaving lots of room in between.

"Yo Gaara!" called Kankuro as he walked out with his bag slung over his shoulder, "Let's go."

"You go ahead." Gaara replied quietly. "I'm meeting someone."

Gaara watched with a hint of annoyance as Kankuro's eyes almost poped out of his head.

" WHAT!" The cat-earred boy screamed, attracting a few curious gazes. " YOU'RE ACTUALLY MEETING SOMEONE."

" Shut up Kankuro." Gaara growled in a menacing voice.

Kankuro immediately took a step back, holding up his hands in self-defense. " Sorry." He mumbled still slightly in shock from the news. " I'll just leave then."

Gaara watched silently as Kankuro walked out of the gate, and got into the darkened car. The emo turned his head back to the school. The crowd of students leaving had thinned down to only a couple of people now.

Where was Rin? Had that weak shortie chickened out and ditched him?

A deep anger began to boil in Gaara, and also a twinge of sadness. He had actually thought that that shortie was genuine at lunch.

They're all the same. They're all afraid of you.

Gaara was about to walk off when the school door banged open. A familiar voice drifted into his ear. Gaara whipped around in hopes of seeing the black haired shortie and froze in shock.

In front of him, twenty feet away, was none other than Akasuna No Sasori. A member of the notorious Akatsuki. And over the gang member's shoulder, hanging limply, was Rin.

"So where are you taking me?" Rin asked as she lifted her head.

" My hangout." Sasori replied curtly. Then he moved towards the school parking lot, where his car was parked.

Gaara remained in the shadows of the front gate as he watched Sasori throw Rin into his car.

He was torn on what he should do.

Just leave the Kid growled the voice inside of him.

But Rin was his friend....right?

Who cares?

No...I care

Gaara clenched his fists as he watched the Akatsuki member drive off. The emo quickly signaled a cab.

"Follow that car." He said in a low voice to the driver as he got into the seat.
