Encounter : Chapter 1
"Young Master, are you sure you want to do this?" A man in early 50s asked, opening the door of the red coloured Ferrari Portofino, one of the latest models of sports cars.
"Uncle Lee, I know what I am doing," a young man of around 21 years old replied in his usual stoic voice. Coming out of the car, he adjusted his expensive leather black jacket before hanging the Balenciaga on his shoulder.
"You've been searching for him since 11 years," Lee Huan, the young man's most trusted bodyguard said, looking worriedly at the man.
"I've to find him," the man replied with a sad smile as if some sad memories appeared in front of him.
"But young master, you changed your university because of this. If the old master finds about this, he will be angry for sure," Lee Huan quickly asserted, as if he was trying to change the young man's mind.
"You are still trying to change my mind, aren't you?" The man chuckled, glancing at his bodyguard. Letting out a deep breath, he looked at the majestic university building which proudly announced itself as the best universities of China. "Everything will be fine. Just don't tell my father about this."
Lee Huan bowed before the man slightly, agreeing at the latter's words. "Take care of yourself young master Wei."
"Mn." The young man before stepping towards the university.
"Young Master, don't forget about the marriage agreement," Lee Huan shouted, making the young master stop on his tracks.
Without turning towards his bodyguard, the young man sneered. "You can marry him if you like him that much." Shaking his head, he walked towards the university gate.
Lee Huan watched until the young master's figure disappeared among the students.
"This young master is as stubborn as his father. I don't even understand why he doesn't allow me to accompany him all time." The bodyguard shook his head before stepping into his black car.
Young Master Wei walked confidently among the student. Chin up, he walked like he was king of the area and he didn't even care if they were any bullies present out there. His sword-like straight brows furrowed a bit when he felt a little lost amidst the huge infrastructure of the university. The lines of worry on his broad forehead which was covered with few bangs shortly disappeared as his sharp almond eyes quickly scanned the entire area, examining the students who were secretly glancing at the handsome young man.
It looks like its easier for me to find my way. Chuckling, he titled his a bit, exposing his sharp, sexy jawline.
"You seem to be new here."
A shrill yet dominant female voice spoke, grabbing the attention of the young man.
As he turned towards the source of the sound, he saw a young lady who was standing behind him with a bag hanging on the shoulder. Dressed in complete black with her hair tied up into a bun, she looked somehow intimidating. Her gaze was pinned on him while her face clearly showed how confident and badass she was.
"Yes." The young man replied with a playboy smile.
"It's easy to guess." The girl sneered before extending her arm for a handshake. "Wen Ziyi, arts, second year."
"Wei Zhan, arts, second year." The young man smiled as he extended his hand for a handshake.
"So you are a second-year student? I thought you were a newbie." Ziyi titled her head, scanning the man from head to toe.
"I am a transferred student," Zhan replied. "You seem like the boss here."
"Not exactly," Wen Ziyi smiled mischievously, tucking her locks behind her ears. "I actually follow the policy of give respect and take respect. So classmates here don't dare to talk to me."
"Do you except the same from me?" Wei Zhan asked, arching his brow.
"Of course." Wen Ziyi chuckled before her sharp gaze fell on him. "Treat me with respect I will treat you like a prince. Flirt with me and I will show you who the player is."
She looks interesting. Wei Zhan internally chuckled as if he found someone who had the same attitude as him. "Miss Wen, can you please show me where our class is?"
"That sounds way too polite for you with those lady-killer looks," Ziyi laughed as she walked towards her class, followed by Wei Zhan.
Zhan took his seat beside Ziyi. During the whole class, the girls kept stealing glances at Zhan while some of them were fangirling over Zhan and Ziyi, shipping them. Though Zhan was used to this, still he felt somewhat annoyed.
"Just ignore," Ziyi whispered when she saw the discomfort in Zhan's facial expressions.
Zhan nodded as he tried to ignore while trying to focus on his classes.
Wen Ziyi was like the badass girl of the university. Even her seniors feared to approach her and of course, she enjoyed this privilege of hers. She was the sole heir of Wen Company. Since she was going to inherit her divorced mother's entire company, she grew up like a guy which made her sassy as well as badass.
After the classes, Ziyi accompanied Zhan to show him the university.
"Judging from your appearance as well as speaking style, it seems like you are already fit to inherit your father's business. Why didn't you become CEO yet?" Ziyi inquired of him, walking beside Zhan.
"I am interested in the arts. So I wanna finish it first before taking huge responsibilities," Zhan replied, walking under the shade of huge trees which were standing upright alongside the pavement.
"Wei Zhan, I still wonder why you left Qishan University and joined Yunmeng Jiang University," Wen Ziyi said, amused at the other's decision of changing the university during the second year.
"Would you believe if I say I came here just to find someone?" Wei Zhan asked instead of answering her.
"Hm?" Her eyes widened as if she heard something unearthly. "You mean you are here to find your girlfriend?"
"Not exactly." Wei Zhan struggled, sliding his hands into his pockets. "I had a best friend. I haven't seen him since 11 years. I am just trying to find him."
"Woah! Its something like the cute love story in some dramas," Ziyi laughed.
"It's not funny at all." Zhan rolled his eyes, replying in his usual stoic voice.
"You must know his name, right? Then how come the heir of famous Wei groups has to suffer this much?" Ziyi wiggled her brows, looking at him in a questioning manner.
"I know nothing about him, not even his name. I only know that he has a tattoo near his wrist," Zhan sighed upon remembering an old memory. Amidst this CEO of Lan Corporation wants me to marry his son. I need to find him before its too late.
"Shit! I don't know why I am trusting you so much. It had been only a few hours and I feel like you are old friend," Wen Ziyi scoffed, looking at the vast playground.
"Maybe because our attitudes are similar." Zhan laughed a bit.
Suddenly a guy, riding on his bike, appeared out of nowhere and hit Wei Zhan, causing him almost fall on the pavement. The guy of the bike pulled the brakes, stopping the bike. Meanwhile, Ziyi held Zhan's arm, helping the latter to balance himself.
"Are you alright?" The guy asked in a deep voice as he parked his bike aside.
"Not at all," Zhan replied, dusting his jacket.
"I didn't do it on purpose," the guy wearing a grey jacket with black ripped pants and white shirt said.
"I think you owe me an apology," Zhan tried to sound as polite as he could, masking his anger and annoyance.
"But I didn't commit any mistake. It's you who came on the way." The guy ran his fingers smoothly thought his silky, brown hair.
"Senior Xie Yibo, he is new here," Wen Ziyi interrupted, walking between the two men. "But I think you should apologise to him."
"So you are new at this university?" Xie Yibo asked, brushing the invisible dust off his grey jacket.
"Yes, I am," Wei Zhan replied, looking straight into Xie Yibo's eyes as if he wanted to punch him really hard.
"Why do you seem like you are searching for someone," Xie Yibo asked, stepping close towards Wei Zhan, staring deeply into the pair of hazel eyes.
"None of your business." Wei Zhan arched his brow, speaking in a challenging manner.
"Exactly! So just move out of my way and let me go to my classes." Xie Yibo pushed the other as he slid his hands into his pockets, walking like a cool guy. Before riding on his bike, he turned towards Wen Ziyi and said, "Miss Wen, the entire students may fear you but not me. Don't ever use commanding voice against me."
"Such a narcissist!" Ziyi rolled her eyes after the senior had left the place. "What does he think of himself, huh?!'
"What a bad day!" Letting out a deep sigh, Wei Zhan turned towards Ziyi.
"Don't mind him. He is Xie Yibo, a third-year student in the department of special business course. He is the most intelligent as well as the bad boy of this university," Ziyi informed.
"He is so weird. Why is he covering his hands with those training gloves?" Zhan asked, continuing his university tour with Ziyi.
"I don't know. He has been like this since he was a 1st-year student. It's said that he loves being a bad boy." Ziyi let out a deep breath. "By the way, don't mess with him too much. Though he isn't like one of us, but still he is a powerful guy."
"Who is going to stalk him?" Zhan rolled his eyes. "I just wanna meet my best friend as soon as possible. Let's forget about this arrogant jerk!"
"I will help you to find your best friend. But you too need to help me, Mr Wei Zhan," Ziyi crossed her arms across her chest, making a deal with the young man.
"Sure. What's it?" Zhan asked, turning towards her.
"Help me to court Wei YanLi," Wen Ziyi smirked, satisfied at other's utterly shocked face.
"She is my shijie, Wen Ziyi!" Zhan's jaws slacked as he stared at Ziyi like he had seen an alien.
"I know," Ziyi chuckled. "Your shijie is so beautiful and kind that she stole my heart and refused to return it back to me."
This is going to be a simple story with no plot twists. I saw a short video clip on YouTube and got inspired by it to write this story.
I am sorry if my story coincides with anyone but this story is solely my own creation.
