Review: This novel is a truly unique work unlike any I've ever read before. Not only does it portray relatable characters that butcher the erotic fiction stereotypes, but it also masquerades as a sort of text guide to sex being used as a tool for enlightenment through the magickal arts. I seriously learned so much about esoteric studies through this work of fiction. Amazing! Everything written in this book was so delightfully engaging that I never found myself bored or irritated. My one issue with this book is that I don't think the content of the prologue was used to its fullest potential. I believe that the emotional impact on readers could be greatly enhanced if the narrator's sexual awakening is presented alongside her magickal awakening, whether through flashbacks or narrative memories. But, even so, this book is still a truly impressive work with awesome slow-burn erotic academia vibes, plus stellar queer and neurodivergent representation. Now, doesn't that sound fun to read?
