@MissMysteryGame
This is for Anish. It comes from the heart.
Anish was my friend. I was actually the one who introduced him to the Pub.
I'm so sad he's gone now.
Rhythmic H(i)y(m)n"
by MissMysteryGame, and for Anish
The boy was a star,
A hydrogen reaction that burned
Up to the sky,
But too right for this moon,
Too bright for this sun
Accelerated atoms
He was the Adam of his verse
A tour de force but the bearer of a curse
That not all men are Made Happy
Or Equal where happiness is Divine,
And that where many hearts are stoked and fanned,
Other hearts burn,
And then die.
We stand and we see the soot, but only from afar,
And we never knew what it was like before
That fireball
Before the writing on the walls had been scorched by
Nuclear fission,
A chain reaction before annihilation,
A bomb dropped and lighting the sky
And leaving everyone on Earth asking why
When there's really no answer to know
Because only one mind ever can really know,
And we can only stand
In the ashes that range far from the crucible, man,
Like clouds of bright radioactive sand,
Like the pieces of a picture that will never burn into glass
Or hieroglyphs
Or paintings
Or anything that we can ever fucking understand--
The atoms have accelerated and the Adams are dead
And the only thing that goes through our head
Is but only to know that that boy was a rapper,
A star,
And a poet,
And he didn't even know it.
Blam.
