=Opinion on Ships=
Hello!
Today, I would like to talk about what my account is mostly about: Ships.
Not the ships which cart around precious cargo from place to place.
I'm talking about the relationSHIPS. As in, who do I deem worthy of hooking up with another individual.
Now, looking over some other people's opinions, there are 3 main topics: The OTPs (One True Pairings), The "Meh/It's okay" Ships, and the "HOLY KARP, GO BURN IT AND MAKE IT DIE IN A HOLE".
However, I seem to have gone unaccustomed to one of the three. The Hated part.
Honestly, I can't exactly rank ships. I love each one. It might seem odd, but it's actually awesome.
Say for example these two ships:
Cream and Crossmare.
These two ships have been battling against all time and space, people choosing sides. Though, I am different. Honestly, I accept both. I enjoy both equally and fully. I really can't bring myself to hate anything.
Usually, I would analyze if the ship will most likely work out or not, then build from there. I especially enjoy the "Ironic" ships, such as Afterdeath or Paperjam. These two are contradicting each other, one trying to survive death while being WITH death, while one is the creator and the other a destroyer.
I see that the majority actually prefer the "ironic" kind of ships more than the realistic ones.
A continuing factor that I observed was that many people appreciate the ships where the dominant is gruff and dark, yet lonely and damaged, while the submissive is pure and cute. I find this trope attractive as well, because it makes the dominant less cold and scary. Also, it forces the dominant into situations with the pure submissive, usually not handling the submissive's cuteness and dying of cuteness overload.
So, both the ironic and the gruff&cute ships are the most favorable, but what about the realistic ones?
What about the ships which both are seen as dominant or both as submissive?
I'll get to those soon.
Now, I will talk about my opinion.
Honestly, I find quirky and hilarious ships to be my trumping favorite, being that it is completely ridiculous and funny. Other ones that I favor are somewhat relatable to how I would react. Say if someone flirted with me, I would most likely get flustered and counter it with insult/anger, seen in various ships. I find these more enjoyable and funny. The last is the most which either are realistic or could happen. The individuals find a lot of common ground and can embark on it.
Some of these include:
-Afterdeath
-Paperjam
-Treeno
-Kustard/CherryBerry/Scifell
-Dust berry
-Cream/Crossmare
-Poth/Gray/Pray
-Zanemau/Aarmau (Not Undertale)
-Killdust
If some ships are not listed above, it doesn't mean that I hate them or feel completely neutral, it's just I don't want to overflow this chapter with a boring list.
NOW FOR THE OTHER THINGS.
If a ship contains two dominant players (Ex. Kustard or Crossmare), then one will play the other off. In a case if someone is writing about them, they see which one they prefer or who seems more powerful and make them the dominant. To be honest, I would actually love to read a well crafted book on where two dominant roles both play each other off, so one is not constantly submissive or dominant. That would be a rather new and interesting book to read.
For the two submissives hooking up (Ex. Dream or Swap x Dream [or something, I don't know .-.]), it would be in the same case as the dominants, finding which one would be more powerful and deeming them dominant of the relationship.
"BUT DARK, WHAT ABOUT THE ONES WITH NO GENDER OR TRANSGENDER?"
Now things get complicated and delicate.
(NOTE: I mean to not offend anyone possibly in any way or make them triggered.)
The relationship will probably play out fine, since if the other deems them worthy for their attention and love. If they are in the same boat, that might work even better for them (if they feel an attraction to each other that is).
For the ones deeming that they don't have a gender, it's alright! The person can still find interests in certain people and might hook up with them. If the other feels the same, Great! If not, Alright. A case would probably be maybe Frisk x Flowey/Frisk x ASRIEL or Charisk, etc.
Overall, all ships are alright with me. I don't hate other ships and I don't hate other people for their opinions. If they hate Afterdeath? That's fine! It's their opinion!
If they start hating on me because I like Afterdeath? That is a little saddening, but I won't retaliate for the sake of revenge.
Ships are pretty much open and happy. It's all about love. It's not supposed to tear people apart or cause hate.
Ships are supposed to celebrate two or more individuals which decided to be together, whether if it's for 3 seconds or for eternity.
So, that is all I have to say about ships.
See you later.
