AUTHOR'S NOTE

I've been rewatching a lot of Psych lately and, due to the over-abundance of 80s pop culture references, I couldn't help but think of how amazing it would've been to see Psych do a Stranger Things parody, a la the Twin Peaks parody episode "Dual Spires." Thus, this crossover was born.

For the timeline to make sense, I've moved the events of Stranger Things to line up with the release of Psych. In this AU Will Byers went missing in November 2007. The events of Season 2 happened in October/November 2008. The events of Season 3 happened in Summer 2009. Now, it's Summer 2010, and this replaces the events of Season 4. In the Psych universe, this fic takes place post-Season 5, pre-Season 6.

This is going to be a short, self-contained fic-only five chapters. Because it takes place in the 2000s instead of the 80s, the characters have cell phones and know what High School Musical is. (High School Musical isn't mentioned in this fic. It's just important for me that you know that Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley drive around Hawkins listening to Bet On It full volume.)

If you haven't seen Psych, you can still read this fic! There are certain references that will not make sense, but I think you'll still enjoy it. Same if you're a Psych fan but have never seen Stranger Things. The lore is pretty hefty but it should be a good time nonetheless.
