"Mike?" I asked as I turned to him as we were laying in the grass.

He turned to me and looked me in the eyes. "What is it, (F/N)?"

The way my name rolled off is tongue made my heart flutter. I never got over how he said certain words, my name was one of them.

"Do you think there's a world out there without titans?" His hand reached for mine as we both looked up at the sky to gaze at the stars. There were so many, and they twinkled as if they were lights on a Christmas tree.

I heard him hum. "I sure hope there is. I wouldn't wish this fate on anyone else."

"Yeah, me too." I agreed with him.

We both closed our eyes and laid there together under the stars. I had never felt so peaceful in my entire life, especially knowing that titans were out there.

"Ow! You're such a jerk!" I yelled at a girl who purposely ran into me in the hall.

She pushed me into my locker and then all of my books fell out of my arms. Quickly, I scrambled to pick them up again, but she kicked me in my side. I dropped to the floor, sprawled out.

The girl laughed at me as she kicked me in my ribs. I wanted to cry, but I didn't want to give her that satisfaction. I didn't want her to know that she was hurting me on the inside too along with the outside. She was a bully, and all she wanted was to know that she was doing damage to an innocent person that did nothing to her.

Suddenly, her kicks stopped. But as soon as they stopped, I heard her make contact with a locker too.

A small squeak escaped past her lips as she squinted her eyes.

The person tjat was holding her to the locker let her go. She coward in front of them. "Leave her alone if you know what's good for you." The man spoke. I recognized him, but at the same time I didn't.

The girls eyes widened. "You wouldn't hit a girl, would you?"

The man smirked and raised an eyebrow. The girl gathered her things and scrambled away from the scene of her crime.

He reached his hand put to me, wanting me to grab it, so I did. The man pulled me up to my feet and helped to support me as I gained my breath again.

"T-thank you," I barely said above a whisper. "I don't know how to repay you."

The man smiled. "You can repay me by telling me your name." I was taken aback by his statement.

"I'm (F/N). W-who are you?" To me, it was only fair for me to know his name too. After all, he did save me from that bully. I at least wanted to know his name.

"I'm Mike. Mike Zacharius."

I recognized his name. He was the biggest bully in the school, yet he helped me. He could have continued to beat me up, but he scared the girl away and helped me.

A smile spread across my face as he smiled back at me. Maybe he wasn't really a bad guy. . .

lowly, I walked down the dark alley. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew that it couldn't be any good.

I tried to keep to myself and not look at the acts that were happening in the alley. I even was having a pretend conversation on my phone to prevent from being jumped. All u wanted to do was to get home quickly, and walking down this alley was the sketchy short cut.

Without warning, and strong, blond man pushed me down to the ground. He put his foot on the small of my back to prevent me from trying to get up.

Soon he bent down to gather my things. He quickly grabbed my purse, phone, and the inexpensive jewelry that I was waring. After that, he ran off. I tried to get a good look at his face. For some reason he looked like someone I knew. Someone close to me.

After some thought I came to the conclusion that he looked a lot like a long lost friend, Mike. I hadn't seen him in years, and I was never able to get a hold of him when I tried. I had always wondered why, but now I knew. It was becuase he was living on the streets.

I attempted to call put to him, but he didn't turn around. That made me think that it wasn't truly him, but my heart knew that it was.

"Mike, come back." I whispered as I picked myself up and continued to walk the dangerous path back to my home.

"Fuck you!" Mike, my long time fiancée, screamed at me. "I know you've been cheating on me! I can smell him on you!"

The tears in my eyes threatened to spill over as he accused me of such vile things. How could he think that I'd cheat on him? And with Levi! I hated that man with a passion although he was one of Mike's closest friends.

"Mike! Listen to me, please! I have not been cheating on you! Why can't you believe me?!" I was hurt that he'd belive such a foolish thing.

Mike took a few steps close to me and grabbed the collar of my shirt. He then brought his nose closer to it and took a good wiff. "You've been around him! His scent is all over you, you idiot! How could you think that I wouldn't have been able to tell that you've been with another man?!" He paused and turned away from me, crossing his arms over large chest. "I thought you loved me. I guessed you lied about that too."

Finally, the waterworks started. "For fucks sake, Mike! Listen to me! Yes, I have been around Levi. But you know how much I despise him! There is no way in hell that I would cheat on you with such a horrible person! I can explain why I've been around him, I swear I can."

He took a deep breath in and sat down on our bed. "Explain." He spat.

I sat down beside him and began to tell him my story, the true story.

"Your birthday is coming up soon, right? Well I've been wanting to do something special for you, so I got Levi involved. We've been meeting up during my lunch hour and after work here and there so I could get his help on your present. As you've noticed, his scent is on me. Although I hate him, I've been working with him for you. Please believe me. It's the story I'm sticking to becuase it's the true story. You can talk to Levi. He'll tell you the exact same thing. Please Mike, I love you with all my heart and I don't want to lose you. Especially over Levi, the man I hate the most. Please, Mike, please." I was literally begging for him to believe me. And if it didn't work, I didn't know what I was going to do with my life.

Suddenly Mike gently grabbed me by my chin and brought me in for a sweet kiss.

"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry that I didn't believe you. I'm sorry that I thought you'd do such a thing. I'm so unbelievably sorry, (F/N). Please forgive me. I love you so much." He brought me into a giant hug and squeezed me tightly like he never wanted to let go.

"It's okay. I forgive you, love." I gave him a quick peck on the lips. "I knew you would understand."

I opened my eyes to see.Mike still holding my had, still by my side.

He too opened his eyes. My (E/C) ones met with his blue ones. A white smile spread across his face in the dark under the stars.

Mike sat up without warning, my hand still in his. "(F/N), you made me realise that in this world, we don't have much time. I know that I love you to the end of the world and back, and I don't want to spend any time away from you. Not ever in my life. I want you to be by my side at every single moment, and I mean it. So, will you please marry me?" He didn't have a ring, but I didn't care. Knowing that he loved me was enough for me.

A single tear fell from my eye as I bit my lip and smiled. There was nothing that I wanted more than to be by miles side for the rest of out lives. I wanted to be there for battles, injuries, and anything that may happen to us.

"Yes, Mike! Yes!" I cried happy tears for the first time in my life. Finally, I had a happy ending.
