Chapter 3 [A Night to Never Forget]
>> Edited 2020/06/26
Reader's POV
The three of us went inside and went into the... dining room? A rather large dining area. Just to get thrown into a crushing hug by a woman in glasses.
"(Y/n) was your name right?! Can I do experiments on you?!" She asked hopefully.
"H-Huh?!"
"Oi, get off of her Shitty glasses." Levi lifted the woman by the back of her collar.
"Aww, no fun! But can I still experiment on you?!" She grinned facing me. I looked around and coughed.
"No," I said sternly, recovering from my surprise. "No, you can not."
She frowned, disappointment leaking onto her features, "Aw it was worth asking. Anyway, my names Hanji Zoe." She introduced and shook my hand.
"Yeah, well you already know I'm (Y/n)..." I trailed off. "Anyway, are we gonna have dinner? It's been a while since I ate something, let alone with others." I smiled.
"Yeah, there's food set up so eat up!" Hanji grinned and pushed me onto a bench and sat beside me.
"Oh, I have some food already... if you don't mind me eating that." I sheepishly grinned and pulled out a sweet roll, cooked pheasant, and a glass of mead. Everyone stared in shock and I looked at them. "Heheh um... It's a skill I have to summon anything I take... or a power call it what you must..." I said nervously at the tension in the air.
"Can I try that?!" Eren asked suddenly pointing at the sweet roll.
"Uhm... I suppose I do have a few on me... (Because I take every sweet I can find...)" I said getting a few more from my "magic inventory". I placed them down on an empty plate. "Go ahead, just don't eat it so quickly," I said, most of them looked at the plate of sweet rolls suspiciously... well except for Eren who thanked me and grabbed one biting into it. Perhaps I should eventually tell him not to trust everything a stranger offers.
"Wow, this is great!" He said grinning as he ate the remaining sweet roll. The others noticed this and one by one took a piece to try soon having a smile on their lips. I rested my chin on my hand with I content smirk, I look over to the only one who hadn't touched the food. (Sorry I may have confused you as much as I confused myself, just imagine some of the tables are closer to the ones for the squad captains and leaders XP ... just roll with it :'l )
Levi...
"Are you gonna eat?" I asked sneaking over (with the plate in hand) whispering for him to hear as everyone else talked to each other. "It's good... you know, I never really get to each a meal with others... it's normally just me eating a small snack or with one other person... or dog..." I explained softly, his eyes shot towards me.
"I see..." He muttered.
I nodded, "Heh, yeah pretty lonely, right? I don't feel along that much 'cause I know there are the few people (or creatures) out there I can trust..." I closed my eyes contently and released a sigh.
Nor Levi or I spoke, I listened to the chatter of the other cadets and my own breathing before I heard movement. I opened an eye to see Levi reach for one of the last sweet rolls on the table. A small tug pulled at the corner of my lips and a small chuckle escaped my mouth.
♤oOOoOOo♤
After the meal, I stood up and cleared my throat gaining everyone's attention "Alright! I have something to show everyone so I will ask you to go outside when you are done!" I announced and left the mess hall (?).
I stepped outside and breathed in the fresh air. I grinned and summoned Arvak, petting its skull/head. "Hey bud, I'm grateful I can still summon you... maybe then... hmm, perhaps the two worlds are still connected then! I may be able to go back to Skyrim..." I said, and Arvak neighed in response. "Heh, thanks for the response. It kinda calms me down you know? I know you'll return to the soul cairn soon. I have yet to see if I can summon Durnehviir here." I looked up to the sky and withdrew my hands from Arvaks head. "It's still cloudy... good... I just hope this works here just like in my dimension..." I muttered, Arvak whined followed by it disappearing back to the Soul Cairn.
I sat on the patch of grass under me and closed my eyes patiently waiting for everyone or hopefully just most of the group inside to come outside for my surprising act.
"Oi, get up. Jaeger and I convinced some of the cadets to go." I opened my eyes and slowly turned to Levi's voice with a raised eyebrow.
"You did that for me?" I slowly smirked, "How nice of you both... in all honesty, I just want them to see the beauty in this little shouting trick of mine." I said and turned to face the sky. "I got a clear picture now... of well-- most of it on what's going on in this world. Not many people now got to see the outside world." I frowned, I could also feel Levi's gaze.
"Even so, I'm not sure how long I'm here." I closed my eyes, "But still I want humans to at least see something they've never seen in- probably- a long time." I explained and reopened my eyes to look at Levi, who held a soft expression for once.
"I see..." He repeated from earlier.
"(Y/n)! Their coming!" I turned my head to see Eren waving while running towards us. I gave a thumbs up and stood up, cracking my knuckles smirking.
'This is gonna be fun,' I thought and looked to where Eren was running from, one by one cadet exited the building. The blond man from before (with very odd-looking eyebrows), who I learned was called Erwin, walked to me.
"What are you planning? It better not cause damage to any of the cadets," he asked frowning. I rose a brow, my smirk still plastered on my face.
《Persuade》
"Believe me when I say you and everyone else will love this, just uh, step back a bit," I said walking to a decently spacious area and looked to the sky taking a deep breath. Everyone watched with interest-filled looks.
"Lok Vah Koor!" I shouted, the clouds in the sky vanished slowly and was replaced by an aura of colours creating a light show known as the northern lights. (A/n: Those who don't know this is an Easter egg in the game where if you use the clear skies shout once or twice it will create the northern lights! Oh and of course it has to be at night.)
Everyone looked at the sky in all shock, awe, and amazement at the colourful lights. I breathed out, 'Thank the gods that it worked...' I thought to myself in content, smiling. "T-This is- amazing!" I looked to the voice who belonged to Hanji as she jumped with joy having sparkles in her eyes as she looked up to the sky then towards me. "What else can this magic of yours do?!" She asked in amazement then looked back to the sky.
I looked around at each cadet, my eyes landed on the corporal. Levi had a certain spark in his eyes as he watched the northern lights in awe. 'Interesting...' I thought as I observed his expressions.
I looked to the ground, my eyelids dropping for a moment. 'Damn... when was the last time I slept... seems like forever...' I opened my eyes and started walking towards the door. "Where are you going, brat?" I turned my head slightly so I could see Levi within my view.
"To bed... it's been a while since I slept properly, I hope you all enjoyed the show..." I turned around and entered through the door disappearing from everyone's sight.
'Even if I'm supposed to be kept an eye on... I don't care...' I tiredly walked down to my 'room' and opened the unlock cell door before closing it. I moved the daedric helmet and put it down safely next to the bed, then removed my armour leaving me in plain clothing before laying in the bed and placing the blanket over my tired body.
'Please be safe... everyone...' I thought of those back in Skyrim before my eyes closed and I fell into a deep slumber.
