Chapter 6 [Recovering scars, & New Wounds]
>> Edited 2020/07/04
Reader's POV
"My gods..." I muttered as we rode through the stone road. Eren got nearly killed or kidnapped, the rest of the squad (other than Eren and Levi) had died, and the female titan disappeared... what a great first experience, right?
I let out a sigh my face dropping completely. The townspeople were yelling, everyone was talking between each other, obviously on what happened.
Arvak turns its head to look at me while it trotted with the other horses. I patted its head, "We'll be okay for now... I hope..." I muttered the last part feeling a chill go down my spine.

I laid on an actual bed in a room I was given a day ago. I sat up lazily and turned to look out the window, "I wonder how the others are handling themselves back in Skyrim... I hope it hasn't gone to complete crap and destruction already."
I stood and stretched, then walked out the room once I put on ebony chain armor with ebony boots and gauntlets, plus a daedric helmet.
Walking down to the mess hall at a leisure pace. I looked around seeing that most were still in worse moods from the expedition.
"(Y/n)!" I turned to the voice and was tackled in a hug to the ground my Hange. "Ow ow!" She jumped placing her hand over where my armor dug into.
"That is good armour!" She complimented.
"Thanks," I said awkwardly as I stood up. "So what did you need Hange?" I asked her after a pause.
"I just wanted to check up on you. You've been more distant lately."
"Sorry, I'm normally alone. Or travel with one other person." I explained sheepishly. You get used to the little amount of company, eventually.
"It's alright!" She said grinning. "I can understand you need some space but have you been eating?" She asked poking at my chest piece.
"I don't always eat, thank you," I said swatting her hand away. "It's a habit, I don't eat every day," I explained shortly.
"But that's not healthy (Y/n)! You should eat more." I shook my head.
"I'll be fine, I just eat when I need to restore my heal- I mean hunger," I said quickly fixing my mistake. (A/n: Author's notes will look like this instead of bold letters. Anyway, get the reference? *wink wink*)
Hange raised a brow but didn't ask, "If you say so. But if I notice you're getting weaker than I will feed you myself!" She declared laughing. I gave her a weird look but chuckled. "You have to stay in good shape, y'know!"
"Okay okay, I'll eat more often," I said giving her a hidden smile.
"You should go talk with your friends, I'm gonna get back to my experiments!" She said sprinting out the door and down the hall.
I stared at where she just was, blinking a few times before going towards the same table Mikasa, and the others sat. Friends...? I've never considered many to be a "friend", companion perhaps but friend?
I've always made that mistake, and it always ended with one side killing the other. I savored the peace I can get every once and a while.
"Hey," I said softly sitting at the end on the bench next to Sasha. "The aura leaking from here is sorrowful." I stated then continued, "Look I may have not been here through the many expeditions. But I know the only way to avenge your comrades is to stay alive and kill the titans. So lift your spirits and deal with what happened!" I said sternly making them raise their heads to me. "Don't be sulking and waiting for the titans to die. Do you want to deal with their deaths? Then kill the titans, get your revenge." I said, making their faces light up.
"She's right... we can't do anything while we're like this." Armin said determinedly. I nodded.
Eren clenched his fist, "I'll make sure I'll find that female titan, and kill her!" He glared at the air around him. Armin as well as Mikasa sent him a concerned look.
I remember something and stood up. "Sorry I almost forgot I have a few things I wanted to do. See you guys later." I nodded to them as I took my leave.

"Name and reason for knocking right now."
"(Y/n), and I wanted to speak to you." I said softly knowing he would allow me to go in.
"Come in," Levi said less audible. I opened the door and walked in, giving Levi I sloppy salute and sat in the chair in front of his desk. I noticed he has gotten a soft spot for me, well compared to others.
"What do you want (Y/n)?" He asked tiredly. I tilted my head slightly, I saw the bags under his eyes and sighed.
"Levi, when's the last time you slept?" I asked him frowning as I took off my helm and placed it next to me.
"I don't have tim-"
"Yes you do, you just choose to do all this paperwork instead of choosing to help you well being. Levi," He scowled and looked away placing his chin on his palm.
《Persuade》
"Get some rest, please," I asked softly. He sighed knowing by my tone that I would force him to sleep if I had to.
"Fine, although I prefer if you leave the room," I smirked with a nod. "We'll discuss it later."
"Rest and take care of yourself Captain, I don't want to do it for you." I waved as I left the room with my helmet back on, not even knowing what I said I ignored it for now and went to go outside.
I breathed in the fresh air. I summoned Arvak, once mounting Arvak we trotted down a path to an open field. I hopped off where I heard it release a neigh before vanishing back to the soul cairn. I looked back to where Arvak was and decided I might as well give it a go.
"If I can summon Arvak I can summon Durnehviir." I grinned determinedly. I breathed in facing in an open direction.
"Dur Neh Viir!" I shouted, I gasped excitedly when he showed, letting out a roar into the air. "You actually are here!" I said impressed.
"Qahnaarin, I do not seem to be familiar with this Himdah, land." He said looking around the vast field and noticed the walls giving me a questioning look a dovah could.
"We are not in Tamriel, Durnehviir," I told the undead dragon. "Zu'u korah top Alduin lost daal (I believe Alduin has returned)."
Durnehviir thought for a moment, "Qahnaarin, if what you speak is true. Then this is not the place where Alduin should be, you will need to kill Alduin once again. His presence will disrupt this world's balance."
I thought over his words carefully and slowly nodded, "I figured as much... I must ask will you aid me in this crisis?"
"I may already be known as a traitor to Alduin, if you need me Qahnaarin. I will help," He said making me smile under my helmet.
"Can I ride on your neck...?" I asked quickly.
"Hm? As you wish, Qahnaarin." He lowered his neck. I grinned as I hopped on.
"Let's go Durnehviir just don't... go too far beyond the walls," I told him. He took off into the air, his wings outstretched as they flapped.
He flew up into the clouds, roaring loudly I'm sure everyone blow us heard. He flew around within the clouds for a while, I took off my helmet, feeling my (h/c) hair blow.
He descended lower from the clouds and stayed at that level as he looked around the vast land. "What is the wall used for?" He asked as we circled around for a while.
"Titans," I pointed to one of them, Durnehviir followed where I was pointing and saw the naked humanoid giant.
"Fos...? (What) Did mortals create those things?" He asked me, once again seeming confused.
"I don't know much, but they kill and eat humans," I said. "But there are mortals who are called "Titan shifters", they have the ability to become a titan and control it," I explained.
I looked down to the ground under us, I saw a bunch of small figures, "Land Durnehviir." I patted his neck.
He looked down trying to find a place to land. He descended lower to the ground and landed with a small rumble of the weight.
"(Y/NNNNN)!!" Hange tackled me down as my feet hit the ground.
Durnehviir growled protectively, "Ofaal vau ek (Get off her)." He said lowly. I stood up leaving Hange on the ground.
"Calm yourself Durnehviir, Hange is an ally." His growling stops. Durnehviir lowered his head, an uncommon sign of his submission.
"If you say so, Qahnaarin." I pat the side of his head.
Hange let out a squeal, "Oh my god! What are you!?" She asked excitedly, "You're like a giant lizard with wings!" She exclaimed making me sweat-drop.
"I am Durnehviir, mortal. A dragon from the Soul Cairn." He said, Hange squealed again making Durnehviir wince slightly (I apparently only noticed). I looked and saw a crowd keeping their distance from us.
In moments felt the ground shake making me summon my enchanted daedric blades. "What in Talos?!" I looked around nervously.
I heard a roar... a familiar one as well. I turned to the noise to see one familiar ebony coloured dragon with those piercing red eyes hovering over us. My eyes widen and switched to my Bow ready to fire an arrow. Had Durniehviir's presence call him to us? The undead dragon had also turned, wings outstretched and ready to take off.
I heard a chuckle come from the world eater. "Alduin..." I growled.
"Drem yol lok (greetings), Dovahkiin."
