The information that keeps bothering me is that I recall that The Earl insisted on calling this game, The Carrington event. If I am correct the Carrington event is a cosmic event that rarely occurs, the last one happened exactly in 1859. This event is a geomagnetic storm, the most intense one by far. It creates auroral displays that were reported globally back in 1859. It is a dangerous event because it disables every type of connection humans have, back in the day it was the telegraph. This event caused fires in multiple telegraph stations. To simplify it, this event would wreak havoc with technology, no internet, no telephone communication, no Facebook, and no Instagram, you get the idea. If it would happen now, it would turn our world into a dystopian world, it is already dystopian I know but it'll be even more dystopian than it is right now. Crimes will happen everywhere, that is because man tends to show his true nature if he isn't restrained by laws, It Rules of the jungle type of vibe, the strong eat the weak. If someone does something that breaks the law, usually someone would just film them or call the police for help, but with every piece of technology deactivated there is no hope. A wise man once said, give a man a mask and he will show you his true self, no security cameras, no evidence, it is heaven for sinners. It is heaven for me too because I am no saint, I believe in no morals nor ethics, I believe only in strength and wit. This will truly help me hide my identity while starting my act, my theatrical act, where I will play with other humans, they are my puppets, I pull their strings and they dance.

I remember The Earl talking about the so-called marquesses, the ones who care about the balance of the universe. He is an Earl and they are Marquesses, which means that these entities have a hierarchical pyramid, based on English titles like British nobility. So cliché, it means that there are also dukes, archdukes, counts, viscounts, and barons. By no means I will bother myself and think of plans to erase them from my path, for the moment that is. We also know that one of the 22 chosen contract holders holds a realm traveling ability. I will require this contract holder to be on my side because it will be a crucial key point for my plans to succeed. The Earl wasn't careful enough to hide their identity. If you think logically for one second, there is a hint of who holds these powers, it is all about symbolism in this theatrical act. There are 2 possibilities, The Magician 1, and THE WORLD 21. I am The Magician thus, most likely it is The World 21. When I was holding the codex, I, on purpose turned the pages backward quickly to reach the page where my contract lays. I read her name, yes HER name. The Earl could never expect me to read words in mere milliseconds. But luckily for me, I have above-average sightseeing, and nearly photographic memory, not something that is common among humans. I could pass from a random street without focusing on my entourage, and I d still be able to recall it all and describe it to you perfectly, well not 100% but I would say 90%. I will use these 30 minutes to do research on other tarot cards' key meanings from the arcana major, thus I will get a short preview on the character of the other contract holders, maybe even get a vague concept of what their abilities will be capable of. After 27 minutes I was already done with my small research and already had an idea of what I was going to face. I have a strong belief that Justice 11 or The Fool 0 will be my enemies, so I should be careful. It was time for the Carrington event to begin, and I went upstairs to absorb the sun flares. Before it happened, the sky was full of stars, it was such a beautiful view. I think that nature is the most simple yet beautiful thing in the world, just a black sky and some stars can make me feel peace within. Look how the sky is pretty and how the city is quiet, the people here cannot even fathom what will happen to them soon, it is the silence before the storm. The auroras started showing up in the sky and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life, mother nature sure does know how to please a man.
