Five

To say that Yoongi woke up in an odd way would be an understatement.

He had fallen asleep against Taehyung without realizing it. Perhaps he was fine with it at first. Taehyung was comfortable to snuggle up to and after small talk, they eventually both positioned themselves in Yoongi's blankets to take a nap. Yoongi decided to keep his nose nuzzling Taehyung's neck. Maybe it was something he just enjoyed doing.

His arm was wrapped around Taehyung's waist, just holding onto him, and Taehyung was doing the same thing. Yoongi fell asleep easily like that. Like it was the easiest start of a nap ever. But then a little dream came along. And of course Yoongi would dream about Taehyung. As if last night wasn't hard enough.

His dream was oddly painful.

Not because of any real pain. But in his dream, Taehyung was doing the same thing that he had been picturing last night. Yoongi was laid out across his own bed, Taehyung above him with his hair covering most of his eyes. What wasn't covered by his hair was staring straight down at Yoongi. Taehyung had a smirk on his face— and his thigh..

His thigh.

Yoongi never knew he had such a thing for teasing or a thing for thighs. He also never knew he could think of Taehyung in such a naughty way.

Dream Taehyung rolled his hips, his upper thigh pressing into Yoongi's cock, which was already hard in his dream. Yoongi whimpered at the sight, at the feeling. It felt real. Taehyung smirked and before Yoongi knew it, dream Taehyung was diving into his neck and biting gently before he started to suck. His breath was just as uneven as Yoongi's.

Yoongi whimpered again as Taehyung started moving faster. His actions drove the older crazy. The way Taehyung reached his hand up from beside Yoongi and pulled at his hair, making Yoongi's head turn to the side so that Taehyung could suck more bruises onto his skin. Yoongi couldn't stop from nearly panting as his scalp burned pleasantly.

  "Hyung?"

Yoongi whimpered helplessly at the sound of Taehyung's deep, dreamy voice.

"Hyung? Are you okay?"

And that's how Yoongi woke up with his face buried into Taehyung's neck, gripping tightly onto him now. Yoongi's eyes widened and he backed away from Taehyung— real Taehyung.

"W-What?" Yoongi looked at Taehyung in surprise. Confusion was stuck onto his face as he scanned Yoongi's face, searching for an answer. Yoongi was stunned.

Had he really dreamed that?

"Were you having a bad dream?" Taehyung interrogated. He reached his hand up and pushed back Yoongi's hair, which was a little sweaty. Taehyung looked so innocent and Yoongi was lucky that he didn't seem suspicious to him in any way.

"Y-Yeah." Yoongi blinked, lying.

What the fuck is wrong with him? That can not be a normal occurrence. Yoongi can't keep imagining Taehyung in that way. Hell, this boy was pure innocence. Taehyung, the boy who gave Yoongi an apple. The one who told Yoongi 'Fruit is good luck'. The boy who has gleaming eyes and an innocent, pretty smile. Yoongi shouldn't be thinking like that.

Taehyung wrapped his arm tighter around Yoongi. "Don't worry, hyung." He beamed. "No more bad dreams for you, okay?" He pulled Yoongi closer in by his waist. Yoongi tried not to think to much about the way he was being touched and handled by the younger.

"Yeah." Yoongi hummed. "No more bad dreams. You want to nap a little longer?" He asked quietly, changing the subject.

Taehyung nodded, his chin pressing into Yoongi's head. "Of course."

Yoongi could tell that his face was reddened and it was quite obvious to himself how flustered he was by his own thoughts. He turned away, his back facing Taehyung because he thought he could stay away from embarrassing himself for until they fell back asleep, but then Taehyung took it as a sign to move forward with him and pull Yoongi's hips back into him to keep cuddling.

He cursed to himself at the feeling of Taehyung's body pressing against him like this. Only then did he realize how hard his dick had gotten because of his dream.

Oh, God. Think of sad things. Thing of sadness. Anything other than Taehyung, just think sad things.

Taehyung's hand trailed up Yoongi's body slowly, gently lifting his shirt and pressing his warm fingertips onto Yoongi's buzzing skin. Yoongi wanted to cry out of embarrassment. Was Taehyung teasing him? Isn't this what he wanted last night? Just now?

"W-What are you doing, Tae?" Yoongi asked as Taehyung's palm pressed softly against his bare waist. The skin to skin contact was not something Yoongi needed right now.

"You seem tense from your dream." Taehyung sleepily mumbled. He moved forward into Yoongi's neck and exhaled deeply and only then did Yoongi realize that Taehyung's fingertips were barely moving against his skin to calm him down. He was trying to comfort Yoongi. "Just go to sleep, hyung. It'll be okay." Taehyung whispered.

Yoongi withered into little specs of dust. Of course Taehyung was just being nice and was trying to ease his nerves. Thing is, he made it so much worse than what he thought.

"Can you tell me a story?" Yoongi reached for Taehyung's hand, stopping him from his soothing touches, because it was not soothing anything as of right now.

Taehyung hummed. "What kind of story?" He sounded a little more woke now than before. Yoongi sighed and thought a little. All he wantes was a little distraction.

"You're favorite one."

-

Yoongi evened his breathing, tried to gather himself as practice for the day ended. The boys had been practicing a new dance and Yoongi was glad to know that it was just an easy, simple choreography, because if it were any worse than ON, he'd fall flat.

"Ah," he huffed as he wrapped his arm around Jungkook and propped himself up in a way to slightly tease the younger. "I can't do this."

Jungkook slightly scoffed at him. "This dance is easy." He tried to take Yoongi's arms and reject him. Yoongi stayed strapped in. "Hyung," Jungkook looked at Taehyung for help. Taehyung just stared back at him.

"Help your hyung out." Yoongi held tighter onto him. Jungkook tried to trip him to make him fall back, but Yoongi let go because he knew he was no match to Jeon Jungkook. "Ah, how sad. Can't lend a hand to me? To your more favorite hyung ever?"

Jungkook shook his head. "Hyung will get angry if I let you." He said as he pointed at Taehyung. Yoongi's eyes trailed to the slightly taller and he tilted his head as Taehyung rolled his eyes. It truly confused Yoongi.

"Why?" He furrowed his eyebrows at the younger. Jungkook merely glanced at Taehyung in return. "Angry?" Yoongi slightly chuckled. "It's not like we're a couple. Get back here and be my prop." He told Jungkook.

Taehyung blinked at Yoongi's comment. Not that Yoongi should have noticed. Not that he was waiting for his expression to the thought of being a couple with Yoongi. He just happened to be watching. And Taehyung's face fell right before turning into focused instead.

"Right." Taehyung nodded slowly. "Don't be so weird, Jungkook." Jungkook frowned as Yoongi leaned his arm on him. The atmosphere of the corner of the practice room suddenly changed. Yoongi suddenly felt like he did something bad. Did he? He didn't say anything bad. Not unless he missed something.

But why does his heart suddenly feel weird? Had he said something wrong to one of the two youngest? Why are they looking like they are? Jungkook was not even looking at them anymore and Taehyung was starting at the ground as if it were more interesting.

Maybe it was. Maybe Yoongi was thinking too much about it. He did nothing wrong.

-

"Tae," Yoongi plopped down on the floor after another day of practice. Taehyung was acting weirder than usual. Everyone could tell that he wasn't focused. Yoongi didn't want to question why. He wanted Taehyung to not feel rushed or pushed into saying anything. Maybe he's scared of their single coming out soon. Maybe he's having a rough time because of the virus or something. "wanna go practice for the album? You said yesterday that you needed to—"

"No, thanks." Taehyung cut him off, not even really sparing a glance to Yoongi.

Yoongi blinked at the sudden harsh tone he had with him. He had heard Taehyung talking to the rest of the boys today, and he wasn't so harsh with them. He was still stressed while speaking to them, but not speaking to Yoongi in the same way. Had he been the reason? The reason Taehyung was so thrown off?

"Tae—"

"I'm going over stuff with Namjoon and Hoseok hyung." Taehyung cut him off once again before he walked off, leaving Yoongi to stare up at him in wonder. So he was the reason that Taehyung got upset? Or had something triggered him and he was taking it out on Yoongi? Why was he so harsh?

Yoongi brought his knees to his chest and stared as Taehyung walked towards Hoseok. They started a little conversation and by the looks of it, because Yoongi knew that if Taehyung was harsh to Hoseok that Hoseok would put it back to him, so by the looks of it, Taehyung wasn't harsh to him. Not like he was with him just now. He watched as they both left the room, leaving Yoongi to the rest of the people scattered around him.

-

Yoongi sighed at his computer. He was less stressed a week ago when Seokjin was teasing him about apples and trying not to spill his coffee on himself. Something had shifted in the Bangtan household. First, it started off with Taehyung being oddly reserved to himself, and the day Yoongi was taken aback by the harshness in his voice towards him. Then, it gradually got more and more brutal.

Taehyung had refused to look at him.

At first it had been in the hallways of their work building, back when Yoongi thought they were still okay. He had passed Taehyung the first day and he tested his feeling, trying to draw in eye contact as he passed the younger in the hallway. Taehyung didn't budge. Even more times after, Taehyung wouldn't dare to look up and meet Yoongi's eyes. He was full on ignoring Yoongi.

Then it became way more severe.

At dance practice, "Taehyung-ah," Yoongi had forcefully tried to start conversations with the other. "can you stop by my studio today? We need to finish the song we've been working on. It's really been a slow process, you know."

Taehyung glanced shortly at Yoongi. He probably wasn't expecting Yoongi to say anything, but he should've known that Yoongi isn't the type to let this go on for forever.

"Um." Taehyung was busy stuffing his phone charger into his bag, his phone nearly dropping out of his hand as he did so. "Actually, I already worked on the song with Namjoon— um.."

"It's okay, Tae." Yoongi said flatly. Maybe it was okay. It's not Taehyung's fault that he worked on the song with Joon. Besides, they're a team. Yoongi should be fine with Taehyung working with others instead. "Just.. how's your day been? Is the song going well?" He asked. Taehyung looked like he was trying to hurry as he closed his bag and threw it across his body, clearly ready to sprint away.

"Good. Uh, I have to go now." Taehyung pursed his lips tightly, his voice sounding small as he spoke to Yoongi. At least he was no longer harsh anymore. "Promised Jin I'd work with him on some things, so... yeah."

Yoongi sighed to himself as Taehyung walked straight by him. In all honesty, it was starting to hurt Yoongi by then. Was Taehyung ignoring him? Why would he be? What did he do? Is it something he did specifically or was it something he said? Something he didn't do?

And then, behold the day of all days.

Yoongi woke up like normal. He went for his morning coffee before he went to wash his face and get ready to start practice for the day. Their single, Dynamite, was going to come out soon. With that in mind, he washed his face quickly and took a little extra time to wash his hair as well. It turned out fluffy after he dried it, but he left if that way and he waddled his way to his car, ready for work.

They only worked a little while on the simple choreography. Yoongi was pleased with how easy it was for him. They didn't practice this dance as much as other dances. So, after practice he didn't even try to talk to anyone like he usually does. He knew that if he went anywhere near Taehyung, he'd just go silent and mute towards him, and Yoongi didn't want to ruin Taehyung's mood no matter how disrespectful he had been to Yoongi lately.

He went to his own studio, not missing the glance he got from the younger as he did so. It just about destroyed Yoongi seeing the way that Taehyung was deliberately ignoring him. Did Taehyung figure out what Yoongi did to himself in bed the night before he cried to Taehyung? Was Taehyung disgusted by the way Yoongi cried to him? Could he read Yoongi's mind that day he woke up from his dream? Or was Taehyung just ignoring Yoongi because he hates him or something?

Yoongi can't deal with hate. Not from Taehyung. Not him of all people.

Yoongi hadn't even realized that he was staring at his computer screen. He doesn't even remember walking into his studio. He had actually been in there for quite a long time now. A soft sigh left his mouth as he scooted forward in his chair. He needs to focus on work. He concentrated his eyes on all of the files in front of him. They were all files for all sorts of things, not only albums, but collabs, burnt out pieces that he stored in a file all together, his favorite file, which has all of the good produced music.

But one of the songs in that file was a song he needed Taehyung to work on. He leaned back in his chair and stared for a good minute before he decided to fish his phone out of his pocket. Taehyung hadn't even really replied to any of his messages, only if it was important or if Yoongi sent a bunch of question marks out of frustration. He scrolled his contacts and looked for the younger's name.

  And then he pressed call.

Yoongi doesn't usually call people. He guesses that's the reason that Taehyung actually picked up so quickly, or even at all.

  "Hyung?" Taehyung questioned.

Suddenly Yoongi's eyes were wide and he had no clue how to reply back. He didn't really think this through. He wasn't expecting Tae to actually pick up the phone.

"Hey." Yoongi's voice was pitched higher. It made him sound a little too excited over the phone. He quickly cleared his throat and inhaled deeply. "You have some samples to record that Namjoon sent me a few days ago. Why don't you come to my studio and we'll record them." He bit his nails harshly. Yoongi had recently stopped biting his nails, but the tension around the building all the time was driving him absolutely insane.

"Um." Taehyung sounded like he was going to reject him. Yoongi knew the tone in his voice. He sunk down in his chair and closed his eyes tightly, ready for the bang. "I'm actually busy with my own songs right now. Working on them.. I can just work with Joon later. His studio is closer to me anyways."

Yoongi's heart sunk in his chest. Not merely because he was just rejected. But because Taehyung had flat out been ignoring even working with Yoongi. He sighed to himself and let out a short "Okay, Tae." before he hung up on him before Taehyung had to make an excuse to hang up on him first.

The worst part is that Yoongi gets it. Taehyung is busy with his own music. It's a valid excuse. But, it's most definitely an excuse. It's not like Taehyung had only used it once. He uses the excuse for so many things, and Yoongi can't even be upset about it because it's such a valid excuse that even Yoongi has used before.

Working on music. You're are work. I shouldn't bother you, then.

But it wasn't about Yoongi bothering Taehyung. He wanted to try and observe the problem here. Investigate the reasoning behind Taeyung's sad little game. But he can't do that if all Tae does is ignore him.

Yoongi sighed as he turned off his computer. Work will just have to wait until tomorrow, because Yoongi is upset and bothered, now. He can't work like this. He gathered all of his junk he brought with him and he headed straight for the door of the building, wanting to go home and just sleep the day away sadly.

When he finally got there he decided to waste no time. He didn't need a drink from the fridge. He didn't need to use the bathroom. He didn't want to wind down by watching a little TV first. No. He went straight for the hallway towards him room. But, he made the mistake to follow the corner of his eye to the living room, which made his footsteps halt suddenly.

His head tilted at the sight of Hoseok on one side of the couch and he squinted at the other person next to him. He could only see the back of their heads, but that was most definitely Hoseok sitting on the opposite side of Kim freaking Taehyung. Yoongi took a step into the living room instead, a small creak in the floor causing Hoseok to look back at him.

So Taehyung isn't working?

"Hi, hyung." Hoseok looked a little excited to see Yoongi, but Yoongi's stomach twisted as Taehyung turned back slowly, clearly not expecting Yoongi to be the hyung that Hoseok was talking to. "You're back early." Hoseok said, then made an odd face as he watched Yoongi's expression. "Did something happen?"

  Yoongi waved Hoseok off.

"Hyung..?" Taehyung turned around and paused the movie that was playing on the TV. Yoongi frowned as Taehyung so obviously looked nervous and skittish at the sight of Yoongi. And here Yoongi was, believing that Taehyung was actually busy with something else at work. Busy with his music, just as Taehyung had told him.

He was watching a movie.

"You said you were busy with your own songs right now." Yoongi's voice was small. Taehyung looked at Hoseok for help, but Hoseok stayed still as he started to realize what was going on. "Why would you lie to me?" Yoongi's voice slightly cracked, which caused him to crack and fall in the process. It went from one tear falling down his cheek to Yoongi dropping his head to keep the other two from seeing him cry.

"You- Have you ever really been busy every time I ask you to come work on music?" Yoongi gripped tightly onto his own hoodie sleeves.

Yoongi doesn't like to be lied to. At all. He would have rather had Taehyung look him straight in the eyes and say "No, I don't want to work with you right now, hyung."

"Hyung.." Taehyung frowned at him, but Yoongi could only barely see it. All he could see was a blurry couch in front of his feet. He sniffled and started to wipe his eyes, causing Hoseok's head to snap at him. "Wait, are you crying?" Taehyung started to walk around the couch to him, but Yoongi backed away.

He almost stumbled as he looked up at Taehyung, his tears getting worse at the sight of him. Because Taehyung had promised that he would never leave him. Said they would always be seven. Taehyung hugged him back that day, and they fell asleep in each other's arms, but now Taehyung has been acting like Yoongi was some kind of evil being.

Taehyung had felt like home that day. Now all he sees in Taehyung's eyes is lies.

"You've been lying." Yoongi reminds himself. It felt like his heart was truly being crumbled and thrown on the ground, and his breathing wasn't becoming any better either. His chest was aching and he didn't even want to be in this room anymore. He wanted to leave.

"Hyung, I'm sorry." Taehyung stepped forward and placed his hands on Yoongi's cheeks, forcing him to look up at him as he wiped away Yoongi's tears for him. Yoongi couldn't help but look back at him. Taehyung looked so gentle, so nice, so caring. "Please don't cry. I don't like when you cry—"

"Liar." Yoongi hit Taehyung's hands away a little more harshly than he meant to. Taehyung looked surprised by the action. "Don't touch me. You've been ignoring me for no reason." He couldn't yell at him. Yoongi doesn't yell. He doesn't raise his voice and he could never ever do it to Taehyung, even if he wanted to.

Taehyung shook his head. "Wait, let's just—" Yoongi turned away from him, wiping his own tears and muttering a quiet apology to Hoseok, who just gave him a reassuring, knowing look in return. "Hyung?" Taehyung suddenly sounded confused as Yoongi turned to go back to his room. "Hyung, let's talk." He said.

He followed Yoongi to his room as if he hadn't been ignoring Yoongi for days now.

"Hyung." Taehyung stopped Yoongi's door from closing on him. Yoongi frowned and tried to push him out of the door. "I know I've been ignoring you—"

"And I'm glad you admit that." With one last push, Yoongi finally slammed his door accidentally, feeling the snap break their string of connection. It felt like Yoongi slamming the door in his face was the end of it all. He pressed his back against the door and quickly locked it before he ran towards his bed and curled up in the blanket to let his tears all out silently.

  He poured like a faucet.

The pull in Yoongi's heart. The hurt from knowing that Taehyung had been lying just to ignore him completely. The damage in their relationship. Pulling themselves away from each other for God knows why. All of it made Yoongi realise something crucial. He didn't want to think about it. He wanted to burn out all of his thoughts and stop himself from crying like a baby. Clearly Taehyung didn't care.

But that didn't stop Yoongi from realizing how much he actually really loves Taehyung.

oh, fun!
