(This isn't voltron or Overwatch but they are coming). I decided to muck around with a circle on photoshop CC 2015. I think i was mucking around with everything actually. Anyway, woolah!

The orb at the very top was the original one. One fantastic fluke might i add. This was all done using a computer mouse and i have little experience with a mouse- I have only had CC 2015 for about four months, CC 2014 for about 7 months.
The second orb is the orange one below it. It merely has less shadow and a sense of transparency (a bit like a marble). I just used a soft brush for that part and a low opacity and flow.
The third orb is the top purple one. I didn't redraw the circle all over again. i used the Hue/ Saturation button and made it purple :D. I originally wanted to make it look cracked but a mouse makes it hard for lines to go where you want them (i will leave that for my Wacom). I then thought of cutting a section and pulling it out. For the shadow, i made it a bit like how magnifying glasses project light.
The last orb (bottom right if you have gotten lost along the way :P). I just dimmed the brightness of the third. If you look closely, it is also in worse condition than the third with a few chips, etc. I also tried a texture over the top which you can also see looking very closely.

if you are wondering about the array of triangles underneath, that was underneath the circle and ended up helping it look 3d. Did that with the vector pen.
