"something yellow, something that lights up, something broken and something that fixes the broken," she read.

i nodded.

"where are we supposed to find all of these things?" she quizzed, raising her eyebrows.

"all across town," i replied,  a smile inching on to my lips.

"and we just have to find the items on the list?"

"correct again."

i rolled on my heels and gently swung my arms.

was she going to decline my offer?

my heart leapt into my throat as she began to speak.

"well, what are we waiting for? let's go!"

my smile broke out as she closed the door behind her and started walking towards the garage.

"what are you doing?" i asked.

"i don't think i can keep up with you on your bike, so i'm getting my own."

i could feel my pulse racing and my excitement take over my body.

i picked up my on bicycle just as she came out of the garage with her own blue cycle.

it matched perfectly with my red one.

we both hopped on to our bikes and made our way down the street.

"what do we find first?" she asked, her voice breathy.

"something yellow."
