Raven's eyes popped open once she heard Trevor's screaming voice. She jumped up from the ground, looking around for the others but was shocked when she found that no one else but Teony and her were there. She started to shake the black-haired girl until she woke up.

"Raven?" She asked quietly, still tired. She rubbed her eyes before she could get a good view of her. "What's going on?"

"Everybody's gone," Raven panted and Teony looked around, gasping as she realized that it was true, no longer sleepy.

"What?" She asked, still confused.

"Everybody's gone!" Raven repeated, panic in her voice. "Do you think they're okay?"

"I don't know..." Teony's voice trailed off as she stood up, looking around even more.

Raven pondered for a second, not sure where everybody was, but she did realize something. If they really were in danger, then she couldn't just stand there, hoping and praying about their safety. She made a decision, and started off towards one of the hallways.

Teony noticed what she was doing after a few seconds, and went after her. When she finally caught up, and grabbed Raven's wrist.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Going to see where they are!" Raven replied, trying to get out of Teony's grasp.

"Raven, no, it's too dangerous," Teony contradicted, pulling her back with a surprisingly firm grip. Raven struggled against it but it was impossible. She never knew that she was as strong as she was. "Something might have happened, and I don't want the same thing to happen to us."

"But what if they need our help?"

"I won't let you go out there," Teony said, gripping her hand even harder.

Raven sighed. She didn't know what was going on in her mind that made her do it, but she didn't really think too much about it except that it just felt right. Raven turned to Teony and kissed her, right on the lips. Teony was shocked at first, but didn't push away. Instead, she grabbed Raven's hands, enjoying the kiss for a little longer. A calming, sweet sensation rushed through their veins, making all their worries float away.

After a few moments Raven backed away, reluctantly letting go of one of Teony's hands after she remembered how worried she was about the others. "If they're in trouble," She whispered. "I don't care if it puts me in danger." And she started running off towards the hall.

Teony knew it wasn't a good idea, but she also knew she didn't want to stay downstairs alone, nor let Raven wander the halls by herself. After a moment's thought, she pulled herself together, joining Raven in looking for the rest of the group. Both of them were extremely worried about their friends, but the two just couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces, still giddy and uplifted about what just happened between them.

Fletcher turned his head to the running boy and quickly sprinted after him down the stairs, trying to catch up but it was almost impossible because of his speed. Through the rustling of the wind in his ear, he could still hear Trevor hopefully calling out to his friend, to help her.

"Stop!" He called out, hoping that his stomps would make a vibration that Trevor could feel, telling him to wait for him. "Trevor, slow down!" But he didn't listen. Of course.

"Rafe, I'm coming! Hold on!" He continued to shout, his voice becoming even more hoarse with every word.

"Please, stop!" Fletcher tried to keep up, but finally, Trevor lost him. Fletcher stopped, trying to catch his breath. He leaned onto a chair for support, taking deep breaths in and out.

"Anybody?" A familiar voice called, and Fletcher's head shot up. "Rafe? Ella?" Another familiar voice said. The second was much smaller than the first, but they both sounded worried.

"Raven?" Fletcher called, started to stand up straight again. He cupped his hands to his mouth. "Teony?"

"Fletcher?" The louder voice responded, and he could suddenly hear hurried footsteps tapping their way over to where Fletcher was standing. He started jogging towards the voices, relieved when he saw the two girls' faces.

"Oh my god, Fletcher," Raven whispered, greeting him with a hug. Once she let go of him, he hugged Teony, all three of them glad to see each other, even if they hadn't been separated for long. "What are you doing out here? And where are the others?"

"I just woke up a little bit ago, and Rafe and Trevor were missing. I found Trevor, but we don't know where Rafe is."

"Where is he?" Raven asked anxiously.

"He running around looking for Rafe. I couldn't keep up to him, and I lost him. I'm so sorry." Raven shrugged it off, instead focusing on other things. There was so much on her mind, but Teony's contained one single thought.

"And Ella?" Teony asked, trying to get him to tell more.

"What?" Fletcher asked confused. As soon as Teony mentioned her name, Raven understood what she meant.

"You didn't mention Ella running away."

"She was sleeping downstairs when I left."

"Well, she's not anymore." Raven started to panic. "She can't be missing too! Not Ella and Rafe!"

Fletcher's eyes started to go wide. "We need to get Trevor."

"But where is he?" They tried to listen for his voice, but they couldn't hear a sound. Fletcher fidgeted with his hands, sweat making them slip off of each other. His brain was like a tornado, his thoughts spinning around, impossible to focus on one single idea. It was a moment before anybody broke the silence, and Raven stopped pacing and Fletcher stopped fidgeting.

"Ella!" Teony exclaimed, looking behind Fletcher. The other two, confused at her, followed her gaze and were extremely relieved with what they saw. A curly-haired blond was running towards them, a mixed reaction of frightened and happy bestowed on her face. Fletcher ran up to her, squeezing her with all of his might. Raven and Teony then joined in, a joyous look hiding her fear for a moment.

"Guys-" Ella started, worry in her tone but Raven interrupted her before she could get to her point.

"Where the hell were you?"

"I woke up and say that Fletcher, Rafe and Trevor were missing, so I went looking for them. But-"

"You could have died!" Fletcher cut her off.

"Yes, but listen. I-"

"We were so worried that something happened to you-" Raven interrupted again, but this time Ella got angry.

"Stop interrupting me!" She shouted, and everybody went silent, for they had never seen Ella get mad before. She took a deep breath in and out before continuing.

"Anyways, I heard footsteps, so I followed them. But I must have gotten lost or something, because I ended up in the first classroom we went in and no one was there. So, I looked around, and that's when I found it." She didn't say anything else, her mouth unable to say anything else. When the others realized that she was done, Raven tried to push her on.

"And? What was it?"

Ella sighed, not sure how to answer. "I-I think I should just show you." She hung her head, the others not really sure why, but they followed her.

"Oh, and Fletcher?" She said.

"Yeah?"

"Go find Trevor and bring him to the classroom. You'll know what to do when you get there."

A little confused, he agreed, hoping that Ella knew what she was doing. He ran away, not looking back on the girls.

"Ella, are you alright?" Teony asked concerned, putting a hand on her shoulder. Ella nodded.

"No," She whispered. She brushed the bottom of her eyes, getting rid of any tears that flowed down. Raven and Teony looked at each other, unsure of what to do or say, so they stayed quiet, and the rest of the trip to the classroom was done in absolute silence.

Once they got to the classroom, Raven and Teony looked around, not understanding what was so interesting about it. It all looked the same since they went there last, textbooks laid out where they left them and all. Before they could even ask, Ella spoke up.

"The carpet," She said, going to the edge of the room. She reached down, pulling up a piece of the carpet and revealing a trapdoor. She waved them over.

But why is there another trap door? Raven thought. There's already one leading to the basement.

Ella was the first to go down. She was at the bottom of the ladder when Raven had just made her way down halfway, who needed help from Ella as she made her way down. It wasn't because it was hard for her, rather that it was frightening. It was obvious that Ella was scared and upset when they first met up. What did she see that upset her so bad?

Once all three of the girls were down, Raven and Teony gaped. It wasn't like the basement and instead like the tunnels they went through from it. Ash and dirt fell on top of their heads, making them cough. There really wasn't anything to look at, for it was extremely small and narrow.

"This way," Ella said much quieter than she spoke before. Raven and Teony looked at each other, still concerned about their friend but followed her anyways, gripping each other's hands to make sure that they were both safe the entire time. When Ella looked back and saw their locked hands, the tiniest smile appeared on her face but quickly sunk back down to a frightened look as she turned back around and focused on her path.

It didn't take long for them to get to their destination. When they got to the dead end, Ella looked away from Teony and Raven's looks of fright caused by the body of Rafe Collins that was lying before them. Her chest was painted with blood, her usually snow white hair stained with dirt and the red from her chest. It was horrifying, but they couldn't help but stare in shock.

"Guys?" A familiar male voice called, waiting for a response but all three of them were too sad and shocked to answer. Fletcher shouted one last time, and then they heard footsteps. About a minute later, the blond boy ran into view, a grin on his face. They all turned around to face him, but their expressions and feelings stayed the same.

"Found him!" He said cheerfully, but his expression died down when he saw their puffy eyes. "Everything alright?"

Teony shook her head in response, and right as she did Trevor came from behind Fletcher, panting.

"Why did you bring me down here?" Trevor asked, looking at all their concerned faces which just made him even more confused. "I was just looking for Rafe when Fletcher grabbed my wrist and-"

He was interrupted when Ella stepped away, revealing Rafe's petrified, bloody body. Trevor and Fletcher gasped, shocked. They came a little closer so that their eyes could confirm what they were seeing.

"I'm sorry," Ella whispered, and Trevor fell onto his knees beside Rafe's body, feeling weak in every body part. A few tears fell down his cheek, some in his open wound and some on the ground. He placed his hand on her shoulder, squinting his eyes and looking down as he held in more tears. He choked up a few sobs that he couldn't keep in

Fletcher held his hands to his face, not able to believe that Rafe was gone. How many other people were going to have to die? Would they ever leave? Who would do this? These questions burned like a fire in his mind, and, like a fire, he demanded more. He needed answers.

"This can't be happening," Raven said, astonished. "This can not be happening."

"That's not all," Ella said, her voice quiet and full of grief. She walked down the path they came, the others following her. What could be worse than what she just showed them?

Once Ella got to the first fork in the path, she went a different way, one that they hadn't been down before. Fletcher tried to hold his confident posture but found it difficult as thoughts of what lied ahead flooded his brain.

Trevor was glad to be leaving. He couldn't stand looking at Rafe's dead body. Usually, he kept his emotions in when he was in pain, but he just couldn't help it. It just made him feel so disconnected from everyone else, since the one person that he could truly and understand and could truly understand him was gone.

Forever.

Trevor watched Teony and Raven whispering to each other, their expressions almost impossible to name because of their mixed features. Raven then wrapped her arm around Teony, making her blush a little. Raven said something else that Trevor didn't understand, but it made Teony smile. He looked away, not able to look at them anymore without thinking about what he was now missing.

Ella finally stopped after one more turn, and she stepped aside, letting everyone see, hiding her own eyes. Trevor brushed his hair back with his hand, not able to believe what he was seeing. The girls gripped onto each other, not believing what laid in front of them.

"No. Way," Fletcher said, all of them gaping at the body of Mr. Herman Barla, a bloody 'x' dug into his chest.

Hope you enjoyed my little twist. So much happened in this chapter it was hard to keep up with, even for me.

But don't worry, that wasn't all I have in store. 😈
