Where all it began.
Short chapter (again) bc of Literature homework, yippee!!
Author here, I sincerely apologise for not being on Wattpad bc yk... school.
But hey, Lunar New Year for me is coming up - meaning I have more time to write soon enough!
Anyways, happy new year and enjoy reading this rushed piece I made!
-3rd person's POV-
"Keep running, keep running, run until your legs wear off!..."
That was the only thing on Yasu's mind. Chasing behind him was a young, pale girl. Her face was horrifying, to be the least. She was fast too. Who knew such a 'young' child can keep up with a twenty-year-old teen?
Yasu knew he cannot look back, or else it's over for him.
His legs were starting to wear off from all the running. It felt like he's been running in a labyrinth - ever lasting and no end. The boy couldn't even feel his limbs anymore!
Yet so many things are on Yasu's mind right now.
Are his friends okay?
Are his parents okay?
Will he make it out?
Will it be the end?
Or there is more than expected?
.
Everything for him was currently an endless loop. When will this nightmare end?
Who knows?
.
"Tick-tock, watch the days go, I'm losing track of time, lost in your playzone~"
After some time, he'd noticed that he seems far away from her now. He can finally let his legs take a break! He reached the elevator to escape the hellhole hotel floor. Though he knows it wasn't the end, but at least he survived. Yet something was wrong...
The elevator was jammed.
The buttons don't work.
"Oh crap... the door's jammed! What do I do now?!" He knew he was screwed, but perhaps this was a test for his patience? No, no, no. It was never a test for patience, but a nightmare that forced him to face his fears: Losing your friends and families in the strings of a puppeteer.
Then, a figured approached him.
It was that girl again.
Uno, dos, tres...
.
.
.
SMACK!
A smack straight to the head. Bleeding everywhere on the forehead, Yasu found himself hopeless. Who knew his life could be ended this early? He still haven't found his friends nor relatives, not even a way out of the nightmare he's been. Pathetic thoughts echoed in his head, but he's too worn out to even recognise his own voice anymore.
Mist soon seeped into the room, darkness covered his eyes... Was he finally free?
Perhaps there was a way out.
