three months ago:

You woke up in a Sunday morning, feeling that the day would be an usual sunday. Once you made your breakfast and looked out of the window, you almost choked on your food. There are people- no. Monsters moving in into that house right beside you!

You have read the history of the human and monsters war because you always believed that monsters are real while your friends told you to grow up and not believe in such a fantasy story, but now you can prove them wrong! Maybe you can be friends with them! 

Once you ate, brushed your teeth and put on your clothes, you ran (almost stumbled) downstairs and was about to open the door and go out to introduce yourself, only to rethink all of this.

'Damn it, what can I say to them? Just go up to them and say "Heya I'm your friendly neighbor!" Nope, that'll be too casual..maybe I can bake some cookies for them- wait can they actually eat? What if they don't like it?'

To tell you the truth, you really had a bad experience by making new friends. Ever since middle school, you were always a loner and had only your best friend (bff/n) with you. Once you tried to introduced to yourself to someone new, you would always stutter and say something that you didn't wanna say, making you look weird. Because of that, you also got bullied a lot by the popular girls, making your confidence extremely go down to zero but (bff/n) was always there to cheer you up.

You made up your mind and began to make some chocolate cookies. Hopefully they'll like it.

*two hours later*

As you made your way to the new neighbors, your heart was beating faster than the usual. Your hands began to tremble and sweaty while your mind was telling you that this won't end well.

'No, you can do this. Just..go to them, knock, introduce yourself and hand them the cookies, no big deal right?'

Oh yes, it was a big deal, but you took all of your courage and knock lightly. A tall skeleton, wearing a black battle armor and a mean look on his face that screams loudly 'I'm not ready for this shit, go away!' opened the door. He was quite...intimidating. 

You gulped and you held up the house made cookies for him. "H-Hi! My name is (y/n), one of your new neighbors! I-I noticed the van a-and wanted to welcome you g-guys!"

'Wow. So much for not stuttering, well played. Well played.'

The tall skeleton took the cookies and held out a hand for you to shake. "GREETINGS HUMAN, THE NAME IS THE GREAT AND THE FEERFUL PAPYRUS, IT IS A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU. SANS! HUMAN! COME DOWNSTAIRS AND INTRODUCE TO YOURSELF FOR ASGORE'S SAKE!"

A small human, holding a flower pot with a...smiling flower went downstairs, followed down by a rather short skeleton. The skeleton wore a black jacket with yellow zipper on it, a red sweat shirt, black shorts with red stripes and black-red sneakers. He looked..quite handsome- NO STOP IT! YOU JUST MET HIM!

You shook your head while trying to hide your blush and shook the human's hand- which they are called as Frisk. They seem quite friendly at all! When you turned to the shorter skeleton, he was just staring at you with the red eyeprinks that appeared to be eyes. He just scoffed and held out his hand for you to shake while averting your gaze, like it looked like he wanted to hide something.

"The name is Fell, nice to meet ya kid or..whatever."

And that is how your friendship started.

~present day~

~Author's note~

It has been three months since your first meeting with the skeleton bro's (and Frisk) and let me tell you, they are actually softies! You had listened to their conversations that it was actually Frisk's doing that they became friendly. The underground was actually quite murderous down there in the past so you were quite thankful that you didn't fell down there yet. 

Papyrus seemed like he would crush someone in seconds but once you get to know him, he is like an overprotective brother to you. When he found out that you got bullied, he got more protective than ever and would actually train with you so that you can actually get stronger and that you can defend yourself.

Frisk and Flowey would build up your confidence. One time they brought you to one meeting with the counselors since Frisk is the ambassador of the monsters and boy, were you nervous as hell. One time you had to say your own opinion about the monsters and once you said it, the others didn't mind and agreed with it!

And there was Sans. Sans was quite a handful at first..but over the weeks, he began to open up more for you and talked to you more. He would often lead you to places like the forest and even more beautiful places to make you more comfortable about it. Once your confidence got stronger and once you were more and more comfortable around him, he brought you to grillby's to meet his friends. Most of them were teasing him about you being his girlfriend which made both of you blush. Once you were home, you thought about it and made yourself clear.

You were in love with a skeleton.

On your present day, just as you were about to fall asleep, you get a phone call. Yawning, you took your phone and held it up. "Hello?"

"Come out of your house, need to tell ya something. Don't make me wait.", was his only response before he hung up, leaving you completely confused. You get up, get dressed and headed outside to see your crush, looking up at the night sky.

"Sans? What do you want- I mean..Why do you want to talk to me at night? You know that we can-"

"Look up at the sky, isn't it beautiful?" He asked, not taking a glance on you. 

You sighed and stood beside him while looking up. He was right, the sky was surely beautiful tonight. "You're right, the stars are beautiful." You replied while smiling softly at the sky. Sans looked at you and smiled softly. 

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"

You looked at Sans and blushed a bit. "Yeah, it is."

Annoyed, Sans rolled his eyes and got closer to you. "Are you really that oblivious?"

"I don't get what you mean Sans..I-"

"Jeez kid...you're making this really difficult." He brought his jacket over yours and pulled you in for a gentle kiss. Pulling you closer to him, you slowly closed your eyes and kissed him back.

*SNAP*

You both immedeatly pulled away and looked at the source where it came from. Frisk was the one who took a picture of that beautiful moment. Noticing that they got caught, Flowey screamed "MISSION COMPLETED! RUN!!!" aaaand they ran immedeatly ran into their house.

Sans growled, muttering "I'm gonna give them a bad time" before looking at you. "Look..Over the past months..I slowly started to like you. Not as a friend, more...romantically. I love you (y/n). Will you be my girlfriend?"

You couldn't believe it. 'HE LOVES ME!' You smiled and hugged him tightly. "Yes, I love to be your girlfriend! I love you!" 

Chuckling, he pulled you in for another kiss. Today was your best night ever.
