Q: Greetings! I come from Author Interviews, and I'm here to conduct my interview.Ready for your interview?

P.S. Any nickname you want me to refer you as?

A: Greetings! Please let me know what nickname would you prefer?! (: I prefer Kanae san. in Japanese, san is put as formal addressing

I was busy, so I didn't see this message any sooner! (: Would appreciate you presence, I am here for an hour or so

[RTPIP]

I just saw I was to be the first interviewee xx

And please let me know the time for interview! I'd be available at [RTPIP] - because [RTPIP] time zones (:

Q: Oh, we don't have to meet up, we can just leave messages.You can call me TWA or The Word Artist, if you want to call me by my nickname. Otherwise TheWordArtistBooks is fine.So hello Kanae san. Would you mind sharing a bit about yourself?

A: Hey there TWA (it's really cool, the acronym) and you, reading this. I am Kanae Yoshida, simply Kanae san. It's a pleasure to be the first to be interviewed after like one and half year of writing! I usually prefer to be a person of few words, but when I'm open with you, I would simply become a chatting box.

So, I'm an Indian, currently a NEET aspirant. Finished school. Love cooking, sleeping, house chores and of course reading! I'm short of time with all the stuff happening, else you could hit me for a tarot reading or a reiki session. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

So *gets the mic from the interviewer* let's get rolling on the slide?

Q: *takes mic back* I'm a chatter box too lol

Of course!

One and a half year of writing? Wow, that is really long. Would you mind explaining your writing journey a little to me and the lovely reader?

A: Of course! There's a saying- a writer is a good reader. There was I who loved reading! Wrote few poems at 5th grade then straight in 10th grade. The first ever novel (incomplete and trashy plot) that I wrote was only because I wanted to vent all that darkness and grief in those dark days. Then got busy with studies and never wrote again!

It was March 2021 when I wanted to write again as a birthday gift for a cared one! There I went rolling on the slide, slowly improving and I guess here I am! In the start some people admired my first work, I'm On Your Side, some didn't. So I edited the parts which I outgrew and editing going on (: Only completed one poem book and one teen fic which is still under editing. One fantasy and one kid's or general fiction that I am writing.

Q: Wow. So you came back to writing after such a long time! And I definitely agree with you on that saying, it's very true. Speaking of reading, what genres do you like to read?

A: I pretty much read anything which is interesting and short. Teen Fiction, werewolf, poetry, adventure, fantasy, erotica. I love sci fi movies esp if you're mixing biology so I only would prefer simple biology based sci fi. If the chapters would be long, I'd read them crisp. In childhood, I used to read middle grade fiction of Enid Blyton and she's still my favourite author. Here RyuSensei2000 and Ms_Horrendous come at the top of my list.

Q: Enid Blyton? I used to read that too! Which book of hers is your favourite?

A: The only and my most favourite series of Enid Blyton that I read as a 10 year old child were The Naughtiest Girl and The Family Adventures series! I'd recommend it to any school going kid because they help with the vocabulary and leave quite a simple and important message of good values. Besides, from Ryu Sakurada, I love all her books especially Undercover Blue Riot. From Jakayla Toney, (Ms Horrendous) I love her Helena and The Ring and Never Kiss Your Bartender! I'd suggest these awesome books too!

I never expected I'd type to such a lengthy extent. (ㆁωㆁ) I'd really wish them to be broken into small paragraphs (5-6 lines ) and next time I would do them myself

Q: Oh, no, it's alright :)So you're a writer, like most of us. One of your books is Enlightment of Gods: WILL OVER WISH. Would you mind giving a brief explanation of what this story is about?

A: The inspiration to write this novel came from a stranger who pretended to be suicidal, but from him, I got a thought why not ship a suicidal author with an encouraging half spirit?

This book is based on two goddesses of love and balance. The goddesses are in the current era where the goddess of love is Everette. She lives with her editor, Xienna, the goddess of balance. They have their spirit guides assigned.

However things get interesting as Everette's spirit guide, Xalier comes on earth to guide her and only has 20 years. After which he will incarnate as a human soul and lose his soul identity.

There it becomes twisting when the goddess of love falls for Xalier and even God can't help it. For more, I'd suggest you and TWA, a read. (:

Q: Wow, that story is very intriguing! Did you hear that, reader? You should check it out sometime :)

But it also seems like it's going to be a novel, judging by the length of the explanation. When did you start writing this story and how is it coming along at the moment?

A: Right now I'm around the middle of the novel, building the main climax. This is one juicy 100 chapter book and just writing the first draft. Then would edit it soon (:

As it is a book about author as the protagonist, it would sure gonna revolve around that topic too (:

Q: 100 chapters? Wow, that's really long. To write such a long novel, you'd need a little motivation. What's your motivation?

A: Pretty much the only thing I have to finish this book. I still take my time to finish my books, because if there's no creative juice, there's really no need. Right now I don't have pretty much anyone reading so I can take it slow!

Q: I totally agree with that point about taking time to finish books. Sometimes we can't force ideas out, so we have to wait.

Apart from Enlightment of Gods: WILL OVER WISH, you have also written another story, Tortoise Tales of Mattaru. The title sounds very original, what's this story about?

A: Haha, this story is something what I heard from my mother this year. I was insomniac, and after I crashed in my entrance exams, my body and mind had a shutdown.

 To only sooth me and help me sleep was mother's character called Mattaru. I thought why not save this vocal tale in a book and here I am! Well, I haven't even finished this book when it was supposed to be for her birthday but I guess she would appreciate it!

This story is a general/kids fiction. It's about an Indian school girl Chutki who catches a tortoise instead of fish. It follows her, she keeps him at home and there the train goes about Mattaru. This is actually the book that I'm the most passionate to finish.

This book is going to have frequent updates as soon as possible. As it is a short story, it's meant to be around 20 chapters.

Also, this is my first Indian book after which few more would be coming!

This is one long interview, credit goes to us talkative peeps. >_<

Q: So this story is actually a retelling of your mother's story?

LOL it's alright, we just have to sort-of wrap things up a lil before we hit 20 questions ;-; I suppose

Oh, I really think your mother would appreciate it.

Because we're technically tryna wrap things up, and your response has answered all the questions I was going to ask about your story, let's focus on your writing. What is your purpose of writing? To be famous on Wattpad? To become a best-selling published author?

A: Haha! Really, we talked so much the reader might be getting bored *throws a paper plane at reader's head* heyo, this show gonna get over.

My purpose of writing was to simply spread my message about good values. That you can battle inner conflict and have someone by your side. That you can love yourself and move on even when the love of your life is dead. That you can be kind and always stick together as a family.

That no matter who you are and what you love, you are equal. That no matter who you're destined to be with, you can still love the ones who are gone. That even if there is hatred, you can still love and still be happy.

That family is not what you have, it's what you create and what feels like home. That death is not seperation, it's a journey to afterlife and eternity.

Some of these messages can be found in my works, some will cover these in the next works! I usually portray LGBT characters because I want people to normalise gender and sexuality spectrum. After all it's in the nature and we are also a part of it.

Of course! I sometimes did wish to be famous on Wattpad, but as I've found other things and people already enjoy my works, I'm grateful with what I have. But it's already have my share of readers and people who love to stick around so it really is enough!

If I really had no talent, one day I would have worked that hard to be a Wattpad star xx but right now writing because I feel like it. Plus I rarely say anything to anyone, so writing is my river of speech.

This was a really good time with you, TWA and the reader *pecks on the snoring reader's ear*! I really enjoyed this. Hope we meet very soon!

God I write too much, TT I don't know why I spill the bucket when typing, I wished to read small interviews and here I make them long TT haha

Q: Oh, no, you're literally a mirror of me LOL

Uh, two more questions:

What makes your writing unique such that people should read your books?

and

What's one piece of advice you want to give to any aspiring writers?

A: My writing style is simple but leaves a message subtly. The unique thing about my books would be how you could relate with the characters or the emotions. The reader will always find orginal and unique plots or any common thing which is made in a different style.

The advice I want to give to any author reading this is that, keep reading. If you are a writer, you must be reader first. If you want others to support you, you have to support other authors first.

There's lots of writing tips and guidance out there so no worries about that. The guidance is few clicks away. Just make sure to improve and let your thoughts/emotions flow. And finish your book no matter what else I will personally barbeque you (: Have a pen name. Have a message regarding your story. And keep it light, funny, tragic, whatever. Trouble the protagonist but give them a happy/meaningful ending.

That's it! Hope you remember us, TWA and Kanae san (;

Q: With that, I will conclude this interview with Kanae san. Thank you for your time, Kanae san.

Honestly we'd make good friends lol

A: Hehe sure ✨✌️

~~~The End~~~
And that's my interview with Kanae_Yoshida. I know that this interview was a lot longer than the previous one, and that's because we're both chatter boxes so please don't mind *blushes*.
Anyway, as usual, I hope that you, amazing reader, learnt something new today from the perspective of Kanae_Yoshida, and had fun reading this.
If you found Kanae san's books interesting, do check them out and give them a follow :)
