When and how did you become a fan of Michael Jackson?

My childhood best friend was obsessed with him and he'd always be singing his songs, Billie Jean, Thriller, etc... Of course, he got me into singing those songs and trying to mimic his dance moves the best way we could as little 5 year olds. Around middle school, I started studying legendary musicians since I want to be a musician myself someday soon and kind of "explored" music from the 70s and 80s. You can't explore music from the 70s and 80s without exploring MJ, so I took a liking to him. A huge liking. Around the age of 13, I would've considered myself obsessed. Like, that was my guy. That was who I was listening to. It was like I was living in the 80s. I guess you could call it a phase I went through, it was like everything was somehow related to MJ with me. Everyone who I listened to at the time was influenced by Michael at some point and I guess that's what made me so fond of him specifically. He was unbelievably talented and he was someone everyone was heavily influenced by.

About when did you pick up writing? And when did you start writing fanfiction in particular?

I picked up writing at a young age, in elementary school. It holds a special place in my heart. I started writing fanfiction in my freshman year of high school, almost about two years ago.

What is your favorite story that you've written so far?

My favorite story that I've written so far is a tie between Voices and Sweetheart. They are fanfictions, but Voices is a Justin Timberlake fanfiction. It is about a young girl named Christina who is psychotic and hears terrible voices in her head, though dreams of being a singer. She loves Justin Timberlake and has loved him since she was a child. She is an orphan and lives with a foster family. She's different than most children, but I think she identifies well with teens of today. She eventually does meet JT because her foster father is friends with him, but from there -- it seems like life takes off from there for her. I like this story because it's kind of crazy, it escalated quickly, and I felt like I portrayed the characters in a way that I could never explain, but I am proud of it. There will be a sequel coming out next month.

Sweetheart is a Michael Jackson fanfiction. It's about a sweet girl, Ariah, who has been crushing on Michael Jackson since a young age. Kind of like Christina and Justin Timberlake in my story, Voices. Anyway, Ariah is the daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney. She's got a direct advantage to interacting with Michael because her father is close to him. I can't spoil too much since the story isn't complete, but Michael's always wanted to date a sweetheart. Not that Brooke Shields, the girl he dates in my story currently, isn't a sweetheart. Ariah's always wanted to date Michael Jackson, simply because she finds him perfect. In her eyes, Michael's flawless. You'll have to read on to see what happens from there. (; Whenever I write a Michael Jackson story, I like to include Paul McCartney somehow because I find him perfect. Vice-versa. (:

Do you usually plan your stories out before you write them? Or just go with the flow?

Most of the time I plan them out! I make an outline or decide to base it solely off of a song and analyze the lyrics and apply it to the story that way, something like that. Going with the flow can be risky, but sometimes I will write in that format.

What is your goal with writing? Do you plan to do it professionally, perhaps publish one day?

I plan to be a journalist one day! I'm not sure if I'll ever publish a story or novel, but I'm seriously considering it.

Do you have favorite Michael Jackson album?

It varies from time to time. But, it's always varied between Off The Wall, Thriller, and BAD. Dangerous, eh. I guess I could consider it a favorite as well, but the first three I mentioned are like, my top top top faves!

What are your favorite music videos by Michael?

I enjoy all of them! I just love watching him in his prime element. My favorites would have to be: the BAD short film, the The Way You Make Me Feel short film, and the Come Together short film!!! I really enjoy all of them, I could watch all of them all day/all night. (;

Do ship Michael with anyone?

I ship him with me. Haha, I seriously do. I ship him with Lisa Bonet though. I've been obsessed with the both of them since 5-ever and I could see them being together. I can see Aaliyah with him as well. I thought he and Brooke Shields were cute, but I also thought he and Tatiana Thumbtzen would've been beautiful together.

Do you have any favorite MJ fanfictions you like to read?

Two of my bestest friends who deactivated their Wattpad accounts, but plan to back soon had MJ fanfics that were my favorites. There are some really good ones out there though and I"m sure they are one my reading lists, they just don't come to mind. I have a ton in my library that I have yet to start though! (:
