"I still can't believe you bought all the chocorobo-kuns from that store." Zushi said to Killua as he sweat dropped.

"I can't believe he is going to eat all of those." Gon muttered with his own sweat drop.

"Says the one who is going to fight Hisoka!" Killua retorted pointing a half eaten chocorobo-kun at his spiky black haired friend.

Currently Killua and Gon where in the Republic of Padokea. There they were training at Heaven's Arena, a building standing at 3,250 feet tall with 251 floors, considered the fourth tallest building in the world. They had first gotten there with intent to train and gain money when they met Zushi, a student of Wing, a Nen teacher. After getting all the way to floor 200 they ended up finding Hisoka a veteran of Heaven's Arena. After trying and failing to get in Wing ended up teaching the two boys how to use Nen.

Only after the first day Gon decided to fight only knowing Ten. He failed pretty badly with a broken arm so Wing told the boys that Gon couldn't train for 2 months. Of course they could train on their Aura, so that's what they did. After that they were allowed to train once more, now knowing pretty much all the basic's of Nen they were currently making their way back towards Heaven's Arena to continue training. That is until a pair of girls zoomed past the three.

"Oh my god! Hurry we can't miss A-kun's last song!" Girl A yelled to Girl B. The three boys blinked in surprise at this as they watched the two girls run down the street and turn left.

"What was that about?" Killua asked, Zushi and Gon shrugged their shoulders and the trio continued on. "I swear girl's are the weirdest people ever, like who cares about some guy? They don't even know his real name! I mean what kind of name is 'A-kun'?" Killua ranted while the other two boys sweat dropped.

"Although I am curious about who this 'A-kun' is." Gon commented.

"A-kun? He's a singer for this cafe down the street." Some random guy said making the three turn to him. "He's pretty talented too. He can use pretty much every instrument there is, and his singing isn't one to laugh at. He's lived here for quite a few years, nice fellow. He sometimes goes out of town for months at a time and the only thing that makes him stand out from a crowd is the headphones he always wears. In fact last year when he returned he had this puppy, not even the size of his hand. I'm pretty sure he still has it and it follows him everywhere." The guy said slightly mumbling the last part. But Gon and Killua were too busy staring at the man and what he said.

"A pair of headphones he always wears?" Gon asked looking to Killua.

"A dog that follows him everywhere?" Killua responded. Both their eyes widened in shock.

"Mister! Where's this cafe?" Gon suddenly asked the man.

"Down the road, third street take a left then a right on the second street. You can't miss it really." The man said sticking a thumb down the road.

"Thank you!" Gon said. "Come on Killua!" He exclaimed pulling Killua along.

"E-Eh wait! What are we doing?" Zushi asked as he followed the two, but was ignored.

They soon reached the street and what they were met with was a huge crowd standing outside a building. Within the crowd was the sound of a piano and a familiar voice accompanying the piano. What really caught their attention, and made their thoughts true, was a brindled Labrador walking around the crowd.... Stealing wallets.

'What the hell?' Killua thought and made his way into the crowd, both Gon and Zushi following. As they got closer they could hear the voice clearer as to what he was singing.

They soon reached the front of the crowd and nearly gasped in surprise. There singing in front of the cafe was you, sitting in a suit, in front of a piano, surrounded by many other instruments including an electric and acoustic guitar, violin, ukulele, a harmonica, and surprisingly a banjo.

"The fear of falling apart."

You said finishing the song. Everyone started cheering as you looked up with a smile, it was then that the trio noticed the pair of black headphones on your head. You stood up and got off the bench behind the piano.

"Okay guys and girls, this will unfortunately be my last song for the day. So do I have any requests on what instrument I should use next?" You asked the crowd and many screams burst through the crowd. The trio instantly put their hands over their ears to cover the screams. You burst into laughter and put your hands up in defense. "Okay, okay. I heard Ukulele." You said making everyone calm down. You walked over and grabbed the ukulele and held it up. "So, how about we end this day with a love song?" You asked gaining some more screams. You laughed happily and made everyone calm down once more. "Okay then, guys grab your ladies~" You said starting the song.

You sang slightly swaying to the song, everyone was doing it in fact. Killua seemed interested as he noticed a faint aura on the ukulele.

Using Gyo he noticed that you were in fact using Nen on your hands and the ukulele. "Hey, Gon." Killua whispered trying to gain his friends attention. After not getting an answer he looked to Gon and noticed he too was swaying with the music, even Zushi was doing it.

You finished, the crowd singing along with the last two lines. Well, except for Killua. Once you were done everyone cheered.

"Thank you all for joining me, please enjoy a refreshment inside, and have a nice day!" You said and everyone dispersed either into the cafe or continuing on their way.

You set the ukulele down and made your way into the cafe. Killua blinked and noticed Carter next to you as you entered the cafe. The wallet in her mouth gone.

"Wasn't he so good?" Gon asked Killua. Killua glanced over to Gon and Zushi who were nodding in agreement to each other.

"I wonder why he was stealing wallets." Killua mumbled to himself.

"Come on Killua let's go say hi!" Gon exclaimed pulling Killua.

"E-Eh wait!" Killua yelled as he was instantly pulled into the cafe by both Gon and Zushi.

But the trio of boys weren't able to find you in the cafe at all. It was just full of couples, singles reading books, and an old guy who wore a striped vest over a white dress shirt. He was currently washing a cup by the looks of it. Gon went over to the bar where the old man stood. Killua being forced to follow along with Zushi.

"Hey mister." Gon called making the old man look at them with a warm smile.

"Hello, what can I do for you young boys?" He asked in a warm and kind voice.

"Where did the instrument player from outside go?" Gon asked indicating outside.

"Who? A-kun? Well it's been about a week or so, so by now he should be making his way to Heavens Arena." The old man said putting the now cleaned cup away. "Why do you ask?"

"Wait so he works here?" Killua asked.

"Yup, he works here from 7 to 4 playing music. It actually helps my business thanks to him."

"Eehh?? That's nice of him." Gon commented.

"It is, he's very nice to this town."

'That's a lie since he's stealing' Killua thought as he sweat dropped.

"Well is there anything else I can get you?" The old man asked pulling out a pen and paper.

"No thanks we were headed home anyways, thanks gramps." Killua said walking out the cafe. Both Gon and Zushi walked out with him, Gon waving with a 'thanks' and 'goodbye'.

~Somewhere else~

"EEHH! I could've swore I had the keys on me!?" You said digging through your pants. You had just got back from a level 190 fight, normally you would have to go to the 200 floors, but you had found out that you could still fight in the 190's as long as you did a fight in the 200's every now and then. Hence still gaining money, but being able to stay in the 200's floor. 

You were currently wearing a pair of black loose fitting pants with a cream white belt around the waist, a burgundy tank top adorned your top and was covered by your pants slightly, you had cream white suddora's on each wrist, and your headphones sat atop your head and were now a mixture of a cream white, black, and different shades of red with cherries where the speakers were, the cherry stems going over the top and connecting to each other, you were not wearing any shoes either. To some people you looked to be apart of some martial arts school.

Currently you were looking through the 200's floor trying to find your keys that you SWORE you took with you. Carter was with you, just following you since she gave up trying to convince you that you didn't take them. You finally gave up as you put your head against the wall, comical tears running down your face. "This is the 20th set of keys this month." You said sadly. You knew you were pissing off the receptionist with this problem and you didn't want to make her even madder by loosing your keys AGAIN!

You glanced over to Carter sadly. "Carterrr~" You whined as she raised an eyebrow curiously. "What do I doo~?" You whined as you put your hands on your head.

"Eh? Aurthor-kun?" A voice said making you turn to them instead. There standing in the hallway was Killua with a bag full of chocorobo-kuns, Gon with a curious yet happy look, and some third kid who was in a martial artist suit. You blinked at them in surprise before turning down your music, getting off the wall, and putting a hand over your mouth with an awkward cough. They sweat dropped at this.

"Hey Killua, Gon, umm... third kid.." You raised an eyebrow at this kid.

"Oh, this is Zushi." Gon said indicating to the smaller kid.

"Osu!" He said doing some kind of pose.

"Why hello there Yoshi." You waved gaining a sweat drop from the boys once more. "So, what brings you guys here?" You asked.

"We're training here.." Killua trailed off as he glanced over to Gon. "Before we found out Hisoka was here, then this guy." He pointed to Gon. "Wanted to fight him."

"And what are you doing here Zashi?" You looked to said boy.

"I'm training here with my master, Wing-san." He said.

"Wing-san?" You said putting a hand under your chin in thought. "Why does that name sound familiar... mmmm..?" You mumbled closing your eyes in thought.

"How do you know this kid?" Zasha asked the two.

"He was in the Hunter Exam, you get used to this." Killua whispered back.

"Whatever, I can't remember..... but now I feel like I'm forgetting something." You said, steam now rising from your ears. Carter barked at you making you turn to her. She then walked over to a door and raised a paw to the door. "THAT'S RIGHT!" You yelled in exasperation making the three jump. "I still can't find my keys!!" You screeched then put your head back onto the wall with comical tears. "What am I going to do..?" You questioned yourself as the others sweat dropped.

"Y-You can stay in our room, if you want Aurthor-kun." Gon said with a sweat drop.

"Really!? You would do that!" You asked now in front of Gon with sparkling eyes. He nodded. "YAY! I shall take you up on that offer Gon." You said, Carter wagged her tail happily.

And so you and the others were now in Gons room. The three boys sat in a circle in the middle of the room while you and Carter went and got a drink from the kitchen, of course with Gon's consent. You both came back to the living room just as Killua was explaining something, you turned your music down slightly to hear what he had to say.

"-Energy building in your body. Power gathers in each cell and grows. Then force that power out." He said and all three of them started using Gyo, albeit Yashu was having a harder time on it. You blinked in surprise.

"I'm getting used to this." Gon said once they let their Gyo go. He had a wide smile on his face. "Learning when to shroud the boosted aura with Ten was a little tricky." He said looking at Killua.

"But our auras still aren't as strong as Zushi's." Killua said leaning on his hands.

"I beg to differ." You said making the three turn to you. "How long have you two been working on Gyo?"

"Since this afternoon." Killua said nonchalantly. You smirked. 'Seems I was right'

"Eh? Aurthor-kun you know Gyo?" Gon asked bewildered.

"Yeah, what Hunter doesn't?" You shrugged as Carter rolled her eyes. "Anyways you have only been doing this since this afternoon and are already at this level, I wouldn't be surprised if Yashi-"

"Zushi." Gon corrected.

"-Zushi there was jealous." You said pointing to said boy. Gon and Killua both stared at Zishi bewildered.

"E-Eh?! N-No I'm.. What is your Nen ability?" He asked changing the topic. It seemed to work as the other two looked at you curiously.

"Me? I'm a specialist." You said, all three looked at you curiously.

"Eh? What can you do?" Gon asked.

"I use music to affect my Nen, but really it just powers it up. I'm best with this." You said raising the volume of your music and summoning a pistol with Nen.

"That's so cool!" Gon exclaimed as you turned your music down and let the pistol disappear.

"Eehh?? Isn't that the same power you used in the Hunter Exam?" Killua asked, you nodded in agreement. "I knew you weren't just 'born' with that power!" He exclaimed pointing an accusing finger at you. You chuckled nervously.

"Well I'm not allowed to tell you is why." You said.

"Can we see more of your ability?" Gon asked leaning towards you.

"Well, I'm actually supposed to go to a fight here during the week, although I don't know the day since I can't get in my room." You replied and Carter snickered at you. "You do realize all of our stuff is in there, even all your treats Carter." You said glaring at her this seemed to make her eyes widen as she got up and ran over to the door, now whining at you. "Oh, so now you want to go back huh?" You asked raising an eyebrow at her. She barked at you.

"Hey Aurthor-kun." Gon said making you turn away from the now barking dog. You hummed in acknowledgement. "How come Carter has an Aura?" He asked.

"I don't really know, after her being with me for so long she kind of just gained it. Although it could have something to do with her being born near Meteor city." You shrugged.

"How come you were using Nen on that Ukulele earlier today?" Killua asked making you turn to him.

"I know how to play only the Guitar and Piano, although with my Nen I can play other instruments. That's why." You shrugged then sighed. "Well guess I better go and get another spare key to my room. See ya." You said with a wave as you made your way out.

"Bye Aurthor-kun!" Gon said waving goodbye to you.

~Time Skip~

'Welcome~! One and all~ To tonights fight~!' The announcer well... announced, but you weren't paying attention as you already knew who you were fighting. Mother Fucking Gary... That son of a bitch wanted ANOTHER DAMN REMATCH! Of course he was already at his third loss, but NO! he insisted that he would beat you, but you already knew his weakness.

'First we have Gary~' The announcer said as Gary went up to the arena, some cheerleaders were cheering his name. You eye rolled at this as the announcer explained how he only had 4 wins and 3 loses. 'Next we have A-kun!~' She said and you made your way onto the stage. 'A-kun is considered Gary's rival, with 7 wins and only 1 loss against the one and only Hisoka!' She explained gaining a few gasps from some new watchers. 'Can Gary beat A-kun once and for all?~' The announcer asked as soon as you reached the arena making you snort in laughter.

"HEY! Don't laugh!" Gary, who was, unsurprisingly, taller than you had slightly spiky, yet short, brown hair, vibrant green eyes, a purple T-shirt, black pants, a brown cape, black shoes, and a blue amulet that hung around his neck. Somehow this ensemble actually worked and made him look like he had something up his sleeve.

"Come on Gary, you and I both know you won't beat me. This is the, what? 5th, 6th time now?" You asked while smirking.

"How do you know I won't beat you this time?! Maybe I have something up my sleeve?" He said making you face palm as you pulled out your Ipod, the ref knew you liked to pick a song before the fight even started so he let you have time to do it.

"Gary." You said finding the song. "You and I both know your weakness is that you are uncoordinated, you usually fight one on one, and that you suck when it comes to fighting more than one." You said glancing up at him with a smirk. He stood his ground. You shrugged then glanced to the ref and nodded. "okay." You pressed play as the ref let the fight start.

As the song started you let your Nen cover you, the beat going in rhythm with your Nen. Gary took the first attack and pulled out his twin kodachi. 'Of course he would use those, why the hell not?' You thought annoyed as he jumped at you, ready to swing. But as soon as the first sentence was spoken in your headphones your Nen covered the room and everything stopped. The cheers, the announcer, even Gary stopped midair, he was only a couple inches away from you. You moved out of the way and let your Nen start to form.

Soon 7 other versions of you appeared, each a different color, mainly your shirts and the design on your headphones being different colors. You were red with cherries, a second you, Orange as you call the others by their colors, with oranges, Yellow had lemons, Green had limes, Blue had blueberries even though they aren't blue, Purple had grapes. Although the other two didn't have fruits they instead had a happy and sad face. White being happy, and Black being sad.

You liked this song and using this ability, the problem was that every time you used it your sense of color was gone, taken by the Nen beings you summoned. So you could only really see the color Black and White meaning you would only be able to tell the others apart from their headphones. 'But oh well' You thought and let time continue.

'And Gary has fallen! A-kun has now moved and used his special move against Gary! Color Coordination!' The woman shouted as Gary rolled on the floor then turned to the many you's.

"What now Gary?" Yellow asked the slightly freaked out man. He was used to it, but it still seemed to scare the daylights out of him every time. He frowned.

"Why can you never take me seriously?" He mumbled to himself and attacked Blue. Blue easily dodged the attack as Orange and White went after him. Gary dodged, attacked, and attempted different things against the 8 of you, but all in all he ended up only getting a few points. Soon he fell to one knee.

"Come on Gary, you and I both know you aren't going to win." You said with your arms crossed. "I seriously don't see why you keep fighting me." You mumbled to yourself, but really you always liked him slightly fighting you, it showed he was trying at least, hence why you always used this song on him, it was to help him grow. He suddenly smirked.

"You know A-kun." He said getting up. "I've done my homework." He said reaching into his cape." 'I knew it wasn't just for show!' "And I know you have your own weakness." He said pulling out a round orb. You and the others got ready for an attack. "And I know you are pretty useless without your music." He said pressing a button.

Searing hot pain shot through your ears as they started ringing. Your music useless as you couldn't hear it. You instantly reached under the speakers of your headphones to cover your ears, but it was all in vain as it seemed to barely block out anything. Gary seemed to be laughing and saying something, but you couldn't hear a word. Your Nen was going out of control, the other you's suddenly disappeared and you could see all colors again, but it wasn't any help as you couldn't see through your tears of pain.

Suddenly something, that felt like a brick, punched you in the stomach. You shot from the arena and your back hit something behind you. Dust surrounded you and the ref ran up to you. He was asking something, but you couldn't hear anything. What was he asking? Whatever. You slowly got up and did something you thought you would never do. You grabbed your headphones and threw them to the ground. The painful ringing still wasn't gone, but you had to get them off your head to try and think, even if you couldn't think through the ringing.

You instantly ran and somersaulted onto the arena. Gary was saying something with a smirk, but you couldn't hear him. In fact your pretty sure your ears are bleeding now. He bolted at you again, this time kodachi ready to attack. 'Dodge' You leaned back just in time, but Gary wasn't done. 'Dodge' You did a handspring backwards and skidded to a stop. 'Dodge' Your eyes widened as Gary kept attacking.

'Dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, Dodge, Dodge. DODGE, DODGE, DODGE!!!' You kept thinking as Gary missed every attack. You glanced over at the scoreboard.

You-7 points, Gary-6 points

Bad move, as soon as you looked back to Gary one of his kodachi were already digging a diagonal line across your face. You fell backwards, holding onto your bleeding face. Everything seemed to stop. Your breathing was heavy and the ringing wasn't stopping, in fact it seemed to be worse. Wait? That wasn't ringing.... what was that? 'That's it, this kid needs to be taught a lesson' You concluded and removed your hands.

You could see they were covered in blood, but so was most of your face. Gary was above you, a triumphant smirk on his face. You scowled in annoyance and flipped yourself up. Gary took a step back in surprise. 'You want to play like that?' You seemed to say, or maybe you were yelling? You didn't know, but it seemed to scare the hell out of Gary, that's for sure. 'Fine then, let's play.' You said and bolted at him.

You punched him square in the jaw then kneed him in the gut. Gary fell to the ground and you knew you won, but you weren't done yet. You tried to concentrate as you put your hands in position at Gary who stood and backed away from your glare. 'I need to think of a song.. Fuck Fuck! Uhm... W-Welcome to the end of eras. Ice has melted back to life. Done my time and served my sentence. Dress me up and watch me die' You thought, hearing the background noise from listening to the song so much. Soon your Nen slowly created what you wanted.

What was the weapon? An RPG.

You aimed at Gary and he seemed to be full of pure Terror as he dropped his weapons. He shook his hands in front of you, saying something, before clicking a button on the round thing.

"-There! There! See! I turned it off! Besides you've already won!!" Gary yelled, although you could barely hear him. You let your Nen release the gun. The announcer seemed to be saying something, but you didn't care. You grabbed the front of Gary's shirt.

"Never. Fucking. Use. Cheap. Tricks. AGAIN!" You yelled the last word. He nodded frantically and you released him as he fell into a sniveling scared heap on the floor.

You got off the arena and grabbed your now broken headphones, it seems you broke them somehow. Either from throwing them onto the ground or stepping on them. You sighed annoyed and made your way out of the stadium.

~Time Skip~

You laid on your bed, staring up at your ceiling... Well, Half staring. Thanks to Gary half of your face was covered in a bandage while some cotton covered in medicine was in your ears to help alleviate the pain. Seems you weren't going to be able to hear correctly after this fight, but you knew better and had better medicine than the doctors here at home. Luckily, thanks to your awesome dodging skills you managed to keep your clothes in tact. Guess dodging rabid animals did pay off.

You chuckled, Carter glanced at you curiously then looked to the door. 'Is someone knocking?' You thought as she walked over to the door and opened it. There in the doorway was Gon, Killua, and Yusha. Gon yelled something with a wave and ran over to you, Killua just raised a hand with a simple word, and Yisha said something. You raised a hand back then glanced to Gon who seemed to be asking you something. Carter had already jumped back onto the bed and was watching the three curiously. Mostly Gon though.

"Sorry Gon, I can't hear you. Whatever Gary did it nearly killed my hearing and these things in my ears don't help." You said with a small huff. Gon's eyes widened in realization before gaining a sad look and said something. Killua hit him upside the head and seemed to yell at him for something stupid. Yashu just sweat dropped. Gon suddenly hit his fist into his hand and started to make a square then looked like he was scribbling on it. Killua joined Yashi with his own sweat drop as he said something. "Pen and paper?" You asked making Killua and Yushi look at you shocked. Gon nodded frantically. "Yeah hold on." You said getting up.

You got to your room and dug through your drawers until you found an unused journal and 3 pens. You came back into the living room and handed each boy a pen and Gon the journal. He instantly started writing something down as you watched in amusement.

'How did you make all those other you's?' Gon wrote. You chuckled lightly.

"That is apart of my Nen ability. Although I really only use that song mostly against Gary." You shrugged then Killua stole the Journal and wrote something down. He turned it towards you.

'Who is Gary? Is he really your rival?' He asked making you sigh.

"No Gary isn't my rival, he's really just an asshole who was able to get through those three idiot 'Rookie crushers' then challenged me and now won't stop, it's actually pretty annoying." You said with a frown. "Although I can't but help being glad he's actually trying, even if it is cheating." You sighed then stared at your headphones, lost in thought as to how you wish you could hear something. A tap to your shoulder brought you back to the three in front of you.

'What are you going to do about your headphones?' Yasha asked.

"I'll just fix them later, they're basically made of Nen anyways." You shrugged, whereas the three stared at the headphones in awe. Killua took the journal and started writing something down.

'How come you were stealing when you were playing at the cafe?' You blinked surprised.

"What's wrong with that?" You asked curiously. Killua seemed to gain a tick mark as he hit you over the head and was scribbling.

'WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'What's wrong with that?' STEALING'S. BAD!' He wrote in all Caps so you knew. You chuckled amusedly.

"Listen Killua, I do things for my own reason. And unless I'm caught doing it, then it's fine." You say waving a hand. Gon frowned before taking the journal and writing.

'You shouldn't steal, it's wrong' You huffed at the two then smiled.

"I know you two are just looking out for me, but don't worry about what I do. Just follow your own dreams." You said. Gon seemed ready to argue, but Killua said something to him and took the Journal. He wrote something down then showed it to you.

'What are you going to do now?' He asked. You sighed and put a hand to you chin in thought.

"Hmm... Well since my hearings impaired I can't go back to the island." You mumbled to yourself. Lishi blinked surprised before taking the journal and writing something down.

'What island?' He asked.

"Oh, I do research on new plants and animals. I was working on this new island with my assistant, but because I had to take the Hunter Exam and come here to renew my 90 days I left him to finish with the research. All that's left is a couple of plants and this lizard but......" You trailed off, realizing you were babbling, and coughed awkwardly. "But it seems I can't go back because some of the animals require you to be able to hear in order to not get killed by them." You shrugged. Killua took the journal back.

'So what are you going to do now?'

"I'll have to send him a message then just hang out for a bit." You said standing up and stretching. "Guess it's time to head back Carter." You said making her get off the bed. The three boys looked confused until Killua took initiative.

'Back? Back where?'

"Back home." You said. "You can come if you want." You shrugged, grabbed your stuff, then left. The others deciding to follow you.

~At home~

Knock Knock

You hesitantly knocked on your own door. You waited a couple of seconds, the trio of boys behind you, when the door came flying open slightly. There in the doorway stood an old woman, she was shorter than you with grey hair that was pulled into a large bun in the back, a stick with a red marble in it holding it together, a white shirt that covered a yellow undershirt, and white pants. She had a gleam in her brown aged eyes that said 'I dare you to attack' as she glared at you.

"Hello Rabu-san. I have returned from my match at Heaven's Arena and I brought guests." You said indicating to the three boys behind you. She sent her chilling gaze to the trio, Gon and Geshi jumping in surprise while Killua remained nonchalant.

Gon waved a hand in front of him and introduced himself and the other two. Rabu looked up to you and seemed to ask something. You blinked at her confused before she seemed to understand and put her hands up, ready to sign.

'What happened to your ears?' She signed.

"Oh, Gary happened, he decided to try and kill my hearing just to win." You responded. Rabu face palmed and said something before looking up. She said something again and indicated for you to enter the house. You followed Rabu to the living room, the trio glancing at the photos on the walls curiously. That is until their gaze shifted towards the plant infested living room. Inside were many different types of plants that were either hanging from the ceiling, in the corners of the room, or next to the slightly small couch that sat in the middle of the room with a coffee table that looked out towards the open wall that went to the gardened backyard. Even the roof of the living room was made out of plastic glass, an unbreakable glass that your friend created.

Rabu indicated for you to sit on the porch and you did so, Gon and the others sat in a circle around you, Carter going to her own room. Gon instantly took the journal and wrote something down.

'What are all these plants? Why is your house covered in them? Where did you get them? Can I go see them?' He wrote a bunch of questions making you laugh.

"These plants were different plants I had to take home in order to study, I got them from different places that I visited, and yes you can see them, but only the ones in the garden." You said indicating towards the backyard. Gon instantly got up and made his way towards the garden looking through the many plants. It made you smile, happy he found them interesting. A poke to your shoulder made you look to Killua, who was holding out the journal.

'Who is the old lady?'

"Oh, that's Rabu-san. She takes care of all my plants and Yankee when I'm not here." You said. Suddenly Rabu was next to you once more with a medical box. She put her hands to her ears and looked like she was pulling something out of them. 'Oh' You realized and pulled out the cotton plugs in your ears.

She pulled out a couple of plants and a bowl with a grinder and started to mix the plants together, both Killua and Zishi watching intently. Zashi asked a few questions and Rabu answered. You smiled happily and leaned back. 'Feels just like the old days' You thought a smile on your face as you closed your eyes remembering the sun on your skin, wind in your hair, the quiet peace from before you took the Hunter Exam.

A flick to your temple brought you back to the present and you rubbed the painful spot as you looked at Rabu. "Rabu-saan~ That hurt!" You complained. She glared at you before taking a Q tip and rubbing it through the medicine. She held it out to you and you took it then stuck it in your ear, rubbing it all around your ear softly. After about 2 minutes you set the Q tip on a towel and took the next Q tip great fully and did the same thing to the other ear.

"...the proc....of minutes, but... should be able to hear.. a couple of minutes." Rabu said, seeming to explain to the two-or three since Gon had come back-what you were doing. You put the other Q tip on the towel and rubbed you ears with your hand as if to scratch an itch.

"Thank you Rabu-san, what would I do without you?" You asked the old woman as you hugged her.

"You probably wouldn't be able to get yourself healed up that easily." She said making you kiss her cheek.

"And that's why I love you like a grandma." You said making the three look at you shocked. You blinked. "What?"

"Y-Y-You aren't supposed to be able to hear for another week!" Kushee yelled as he pointed at you.

"Kishi-"

"ZUSHI!" Rabu suddenly yelled at you. "Seriously, how long have you known the boy? You should be able to remember his name by now." She said packing up the medicine.

"Z-Zushi..." You said slightly embarrassed. "It's from the plants, each has their own components that can heal different parts of your body, mix the right ones and you can heal any part of the body within a couple of minutes." You continued.

"So, since you can hear are you going back?" Killua asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Unfortunately I can't, this medicine only lasts for maybe an hour or so and needs to be applied for a quite a while before I can hear fully again." You scratched the back of your head nervously. "Oh that reminds me! I need to send a message to Derek." You said getting up.

"Who's Derek?" Gon asked following you.

"My assistant, he should still be at the island." You said going down the hall past the kitchen where Rabu was making tea. You passed a couple of rooms before you reached a door that revealed stairs going up, and soon you reached your study. You entered the room to show the trio your study. The room was covered in shelves with different books, plants, animal skulls, jars of organs, you name it. Only one wall wasn't covered with shelves, but instead had a desk covered in papers with a lamp above them and a leather arm glove that you grabbed.

Next to the desk on one side was a giant wooden T where a bird would perch and the other was a large glass door. You walked out, onto the roof, to show a pure concrete ceiling, excluding the one part covered in plastic glass, and a giant wooden shack that was covered with metal wiring. As you got closer you realized Za-Zushi had stopped. You turned to him. "What's wrong?" You asked him.

"What's in there?" He asked. You smiled innocently.

"Don't worry Zushi, he isn't dangerous." You said.

"I-I'm just going to stand here." He stuttered.

"That's fine." You said and continued your way to the shack, both Gon and Killua following curiously. Once you reached the shack you put on the glove and unlocked the door way. Putting your arm into the opening you whistled lightly until you felt a familiar weight on you arm and slowly pulled out your arm. The giant predator lowered its head slightly until it was all the way out then raised itself, puffing out its chest with pride.

"WOAH!" Killua and Gon both shouted in awe.

"What is it?" Gon asked seeming to want to pet the prideful bird. You laughed wholeheartedly, making the bird shake slightly.

"This is Yankee, a spotted eagle." You said then held him out. "You can pet him, he won't bite." You said both Gon and Killua hesitantly reached out and lightly stroked the magnificent bird. He didn't even seemed faze as he glanced curiously at the two. "Anyways he shall be needed today. Come on." You said making the two stop petting the bird and follow you instead.

Zushi, who had been too chicken shit, watched the bird as you came closer and seemed as though he wanted to pet it as well, but decided otherwise as you entered the room once more. You put your arm to the wooden T, letting Yankee move to perch on it instead, and you sat at the desk. Moving papers around before finally finding a blank one and a usable pen.

Dear Derek,

I won't be able to return, I ended up nearly killing my ears during a fight at Heaven's Arena. Please continue the research on the Velupine, Jushu, and Tienia. Lastly find and capture the lizard-rat, he is the last specimen of our research before we get a break. You know what to look for and what to write down for these and I put my full trust on you. I know you can do it.

"Done." You said making the three boys slightly jump from petting Yankee. "Now then." You said rolling the paper up and pulling out a special container for Yankee. You put the paper into the container and put it on the vicious bird before putting your hand out for him to stand on. Afterwords you made you way back outside, the trio following curiously, and once outside you pulled out a small fish and gave it to the bird. Once he was done he looked to you, ready for flight, you smirked. "I need you to find Derek and give him that message, okay?" You asked the bird, it seemed to understand and you threw your arm up, letting the predator take flight and set off for it's destination.

~Afterwards~

It was after that, that the boys would visit you daily. Mostly after going to this 'Wing-sans' to train on their Nen, then they would train and focus their Nen with you at your house. Rabu-san always made tea for the three or four of you, depending on if Zushi was there or not. You had decided to take a break on performing at the cafe because of your medical issue and instead performed for Rabu-san and the boys instead. You had so much fun you didn't notice the days passing by because soon another month had passed and Gon had just fought a match with Hisoka.

"So you guys are leaving then?" You asked sipping your green tea, staring intently at the board game in front of you. You picked up a knight and moved it. You were currently just wearing a pair of jeans with a black tank top. Your now fixed head phones sat around your neck with a black coloring to match.

"Yeah,  we did what we came here to do." Killua said. Watching your reaction as Rabu moved her queen to somehow put you into ANOTHER checkmate. Your eyes widened in defeat as Rabu smirked with her arms crossed. You ignored the smug woman and turned to Killua.

"To defeat Hisaka?"

"Hisoka, well... that was a redirect. We managed to train here which was our first goal." Killua said as he turned towards Gon who was watering your plants, something he started doing the third time he came around. You put your head in your hand that laid atop your leg as you hummed at the boy.

"So what are you going to do now?" You asked. "I mean, you could always hang here for a while. You know, to train your Nen. Unless you have something else in mind." You shrugged.

"Actually I wanted to go back to Whale Island. Let Killua meet Aunt Mito." Gon said coming up to the three of you. You hummed as you took a sip of your tea.

"I remember Whale Island, such a nice place to see." You reminisced.

"Eh?" Gon tilted his head. "You've been to Whale Island before? When? I don't remember you visiting it before."

"I can see that, it was forever ago when I first started visiting new lands. I stopped by Whale Island on a ship for supplies, we only stayed for a day, but I managed to find the woods and started writing down some plants as practice." You said closing your eyes, remembering your first time going out for a mission. 'Ah, memories'

"I see." Gon said looking in slight thought.

"Shouldn't you boys be going? I'm fairly sure the last airship to Whale Island leaves in an hour." Rabu said making the two turn to her in surprise.

"It does!? Come on Killua! We can't miss it!" Gon yelled in exasperation as he bolted out the door, pulling a surprised Killua with him.

As soon as the two were gone you heard chuckling beside you, making you turn to Rabu. You smiled smugly at her. "What are you laughing for?" You asked with a raised eyebrow. She stopped her chuckling and looked to the exit with a smile.

"They just remind me of when you were like them." She said with a sigh then turned to you. "Now look at you.." She trailed off and lost her smile. "A good for nothing lazy ass."

"Rabu-San! That's mean!" You yelled at the woman with a frown. "Fine, I'll get off my lazy ass and get my own cup of tea then." You said picking up the now empty cup and stuck your tongue out at the old woman as you went to the kitchen.

Rabu smiled happily and chuckled lightly before fixing the chess board.

"Just like old times." She mumbled to herself.
