She Bruises Coughs she Splutters Pistol Shots
Murdoc was up earlier then she was. He was making eggs. Kind of badly. The first attempt nearly got himself killed with fire but the second time he had only slightly burned it. As opposed to the noisy blaring of an alarm there was a radio coming on. Since when would Murdoc have an alarm? Well it was moving day. Paula had long agreed to join the band anyway.
Creep by Radiohead. The song was familiar to every degree. Paula sang along as she made the bed. It was instinctive that she did that. Ever since she read on a test in second grade that making your bed helps you sleep better at night she always did it. Rarely did she ever actually lay in bed from reading the very same article. Behind her she heard Murdoc singing with her in an over the top manner. She noticed he was covered in soot from cooking.
"What happened to-?! You were cooking again weren't you?!" Paula asked. He nodded sadly making her sigh in exhasperation. "Alright let's clean ya up," he looked cute when he made a mess of himself. He was a dweeb. She cleaned him off as she sat on the counter wiping off the black dust. He was smiling blushing as he did so. He looked like a kid in trouble. Paula kissed his nose.
He had a small lump only felt when touched and not noticeable unless close up. It was embarrassing for him. He'd never considered surgically fixing that. He had a pity story with it anyway, chicks liked that. He supposed some of the men he'd slept with liked the story too. His father and brother most likely had caused that. There was also that one lady's husband that had uh...that was another story entirely. Murdoc kissed her nose in turn gaining a cute chuckle from her.
"I'm a sparkling bunny again?" He asked. Paula chuckled. "Fabulous," she said. Murdoc z snapped and wiggled his hips acting like Tim Curry playing a sweet transvestite. Paula laughed as Murdoc picked her up bridal style and laid her on the couch with a plate of eggs for her on the coffee table. They didn't seem too pleasant but one bite told her otherwise. He wasn't bad, he just made the food look horribly bad. However it was delicious.
Though a little bit on the burnt side. She remembered having fried zucchini per her grandmother. It would go great with eggs. She swallowed a bite and looked up at Murdoc. "Yknow my Grand mom make this great zucchini, fried it whenever she made eggs for me, like an appetizer, that'd go great with these," Murdoc chuckled. "Me and my Grandma were something, she was always smelling of hairspray and cigarettes and gave me old clothes of hers,"he said. She chuckled. "Mine always bought me things I didn't need, the older I got the more considerate for me with more my taste over time... She loved giving me skimpy stuff for some reason," she said.
"Skimpy?" Murdoc asked. Paula nodded. "Might have something, may have to dig around but some of my old things should fit," she said. Murdoc suddenly became more interested until outside he heard the sound of a car horn and revealed it was the moving truck. It was way off schedule too. Murdoc panicked and started grabbing all of his bags and boxes for the car and filled up the vehicle as Paula just looked at her fully packed car in the parking lot ready to go when he was. She was moving in with him since she'd play guitar. She would find a way to seduce Stuart some way or another into going to live with them.
Paula kissed Murdoc before wheeling Stuart out the door and into the elevator. Shyly joining an older man most likely staring down her shirt. But she just gave him a death stare before her rubber bottomed converse rapped along the teal green tile floors. She opened the door backing up with the comatose kid in a chair. He looked almost dead the way his head had hung nose down near his chest as a small bit of drool poured down his chin. He always hated looking unsightly like that. If he discovered a boogar hanging out his nose he would let the fact bother him all day. She took a tissue from her pocket and cleaned him off crumpling it up and throwing it away.
He looked miserable. As if having a horrible nightmare. He didn't know what was going on but she knew his mind was racing and dancing. Stuart was a mess. So desperate to break free. To scream in pain and fear. But he couldn't bring himself to even think. Leaving a heaving breath with each second.
He slept there in that chair, however restlessly.
She wanted to shake the thought, she really genuinely did. So she drove off. Drove to Kong Studios to let Murdoc distract her. He was so good at that. But for how much longer? When was Stu going to rouse and start notice what was happening here? She needed comfort. Paula needed affection.
Its not Stuart's fault that he can't supply that.
Its just not whats happening right now.
Which begged a further question.
What happens when he wakes up?
And another thing...do I want him to?
I do but...
I can't lose him yet.
The sound of a rattling cage made her jump in her seat. The sign read above its gate in rusted letters:
KONG STUDIOS
It was a big building in a graveyard. She could see some movement. Some animal demon gorilla thingy. She wouldn't question that one. It was Murdoc's art not hers.
Just like I'm not his.
Her brain was off now. Whatever that just was she was going to ignore that. She was in love and young. Also very stupid in her own eyes. Then again Murdoc was thirty two, it made her wonder if the feeling about her was mutual? For him to think she was somehow an idiot. All she could do was pray he wasn't thinking that. As she closed the door behind herself she turned to see him, holding boxes and walking in, smiling as he passed her.
She walked in.
Here goes.
