q: what was lux's relationship with her brother/father/other siblings/mother like?

a: lux's father was quite distant. he was a very hard worker in a time where you basically ate, slept and worked, and thus had little time to spend with his family. being the oldest sibling, lux was very protective of her younger siblings. i think they viewed her as a second mother due to how much she looked after them and took care of them. lux was especially close to her mother, though they did grow apart a bit when lux went off to hogwarts.

q: did fulk have any vampire companions before lux?

a: aside from emma, who he only knew in vampire form for a few months, nope! he spent most of his time with humans, finding most vampires too self serving to trust himself to be around.

q: who was lux's bestie/friend before she becomes a vamp? (like in hogwarts)

a: i don't have anyone specifically she was close with in hogwarts, but i do imagine she had a small but tight knit group of hufflepuff companions! it would be funny if a distant relative to the english royal family was a witch or wizard, since she was killed under (albeit indirect) orders from king james!

q: what was lux's dream job before vampirism (rip)?

a: lux lived in a time where women couldn't really have jobs outside of becoming a wife and mother, but i think lux would've really loved to be a gardener! she's naturally very nurturing and she'd have loved spending all that time outdoors!

q: besides the sun, what are lux's various symbols/motifs associated with the story?

a: phoneixes are also very symbolic to lux, hence why i made them her patronus! i also have a lot of water symbolism with fulk, and general bird symbolism throughout the story.

q: what was lux's main hobby before vampirism?

a: lux was always very handsy! gardening, cross stitch, and reading were things she enjoyed. while most people (especially women) in her area, status and time period could not read, her mother ensured lux was able to as a child.

q: how long do you think the story will end up being?

a: used to joke with me that wild & wicked would end up being over a million words and i used to find that idea hilarious. now, it's looking more and more inevitable. my best guess is about 1.5 mil words, or about 4200 q pages. i have around 200 chapters planned as well, it could very well go over that though (it's looking like it very well might)

q: what is your favorite plot/side-plot with the characters so far?

a: from what's posted (as of right now, i have 66 chapters posted), i've really enjoyed everything with snape and lux. their chemistry and interactions are always super fun to write. snape is so machiavellian in nature and i think he and lux have a lot of natural tension that's really fun to explore.

q: if lux didn't end up with remus/sirius, who would've been her endgame (in the marauders era)?

a: oh gosh, that's a hard one! probably emmeline, i think long term they could've been good for each other if the circumstances had been a bit different. snape would be fun too, but they would probably kill each other sooner rather than later.

q: who is lux based off of (book character, person, etc)?

a: honestly, lux isn't super inspired by any one character/figure, but both her first and last name come from people vs just my mind! lux i got from lux lisbon from the virgin suicides, and erzsebet is the first name of a countess (erzsebet bathori/elizabeth bathory) from modern day hungary! she was a prolific serial killer and a lot of modern day vampiric myths stem from her!

a: roses!

a: fulk, but it would eat her alive.

a: in another universe (i.e. one without evan & regulus), yes!

a: lux loves nail polish! it's one of the few ways she can take care of her appearance, since she can't do makeup or hairstyles without a mirror. she keeps her nails really well done and is rarely seen without some sort of polish on them. she does the nails for the rest of the girls in their dorm as well, since she's gotten so good at it.

q: What's Professor Fulk's favorite book?

a: lord of the flies!

q: Does Lux like kids?

a: yes! the thing about lux is she's very maternal even though she doesn't interact with children much. it explains her behavior towards people like regulus - she often feels a natural need to care for those around her, and that includes children. she doesn't let herself dwell on children too much because it's something she can never have, but they're very important to her deep down.

a: mint, i think! she brushes her teeth like five times a day to mask the blood scent from her breath.

a: i think in the hunger games, lux would be close to betee and wiress. lux is quite similar to katniss, but i think this would make them dislike each other rather than be friends, and finnick would remind her too much of her own trauma. percy jackson, she'd love annabeth and get along great with her. reyna too, and maybe leo if he didn't annoy her. from yellowjackets, she'd love van and taissa!

q: what do you think all of lux's love interests teach her, and what does she teach them?

a: remus teaches lux that not all things that can possibly be dangerous to her will hurt her, and sirius teaches lux that there's more to life than survival! lux teaches remus that good can exist in a "monster", and lux teaches sirius to take things one step at a time.

q: how would wild & wicked be different if lux was a werewolf?

a: i think there'd be a lot more commentary on human vs beast rather than identity! the coven being a werewolf gang would be soooo interesting. i would also lean into more primal instincts with her and remus like i did at the beginning of the fic.

q: what are lux and fulk's ilvermorny houses?

a: i don't know much about ilvermorny, so i took a quiz on quotev, lux got wampus and fulk got pukwudgie!

q: what would each oc enjoy most about the modern world?

a: lux would love bubblegum flavored vape (obligatory vaping is bad i just feel like lux would). fulk would love prescription xanax. elias would love an autism diagnosis. emma would love trolling on google reviews.

q: how do you come up with story titles, summaries and like the characters in general? like what's the planning process??

a: my planning process is usually pretty all over the place. i usually use the snowflake method for plotting but with my own chaotic twist on it. for titles, i usually turn to songs or other medias. for wild & wicked in particular, i got the name from the viva la vida lyrics by coldplay, though it was initially the title for a completely different fic i had planned in 2021. i always base my characters and their personalities on the circumstances they're in. so like, for lux, i knew she was in the coven for 300 years, and i based what she was like around how i thought someone who'd been in an abusive cult for that long would be, with a few adjustments to fit the plot.

q: what happened to lux's real family?

a: they went back to hungary, where her father immigrated from!
