After almost a week of Cheng now living in the mansion with Zhan and Yibo, after he showed up there 5 days ago in the middle of the night, Zhan and Yibo were running out of breath. After all, the two of them had only just reconciled after their two-week long quarrel and really needed the time to themselves as a couple.

But that's exactly what hadn't been possible, as Cheng took up most of Zhan's free time after work because he wasn't feeling well and simply sought comfort from his big brother. Yibo understood him very well, but still wished that his big brother and Cheng's problems would not be so burdensome to his relationship with Zhan.

Because of the quarrel Zhan and Yibo had, in which both were very hurt, sad and desperate, Yibo still felt insecure and knew that right now he and Zhan should actually spend as much time together as possible and strengthen their relationship with each other again. But on the other hand, he knew that Cheng really needed his big brother right now. Besides, Cheng had been there for Zhan when he was feeling bad.

In the last few days, Yibo also sometimes felt like he had been excluded and sidelined, which wasn't the case, but Yibo still felt that way. And he got a guilty conscience every time he saw the sad Cheng, even though it was completely nonsensical, of course. Because it was Yibo's big brother, of all people, who was to blame for Cheng not being well.

Just last night, he had talked to Youn and Wooseok about how uncomfortable he felt around Cheng and how he wished he and Zhan could work on their own relationship instead of focusing on their two brothers' relationship. And he also said that he would prefer, at least as long as Cheng is still around, to live with Youn and Wooseok again.

Youn advised Yibo that he should just talk to Zhan about it instead of keeping it to himself and then possibly provoking another fight. Yibo nodded and said he had intended to do it the night before, but Zhan had no time for him and spent the whole evening listening to his brother. When Zhan finally made it to the bedroom, Yibo hadn't even noticed because he had already fallen asleep.

"So what exactly happened between your brothers?" Wooseok wanted to know, as Yibo was pretty reluctant to reveal information about it.

"Well, when Cheng came to us in the middle of the night, we talked for a long time and were in good spirits that the two of them would work it out on their own. Cheng is actually a pretty strong-willed man who doesn't let himself put up with anything so easily. But the next evening, how shall I say it, my brother had managed with only one phone call to make Cheng completely broken". Replied Yibo.

"And what exactly did your brother say?" Youn wanted to know.

"Well, he said that he was sorry for telling Cheng on the phone, but that he had no choice. He didn't know Cheng was with us. My brother, after Cheng wanted to know what it was all about, said that he spent the night with his ex and "something" happened between them. And my brother also said he was very confused emotionally and didn't know if he might not still have feelings for his ex that went beyond a friendship."

"Oh come on Yibo, are you kidding us? Your brother would never do something like that!" Said Youn in shock.

"Oh yes he did, he said that. And believe me, I was just as shocked as you are now. Damn, my brother of all people would have done that? I mean, my brother? Hello, the guy who thought very carefully about every single step in his life and hates nothing more than lies and cheating?"

Youn nodded, "Yes, that's exactly how I know your brother. He never does anything rash and never acts on emotion. He is a very calm, nice and polite man. But yet not a liar and a cheater."

"And yet he cheated on Cheng with his ex-fiancé."

"I can't imagine that Yibo."

"Neither can I. But, what can I say? My brother himself said it. Cheng had the speaker on, Zhan and I overheard everything."

"And then? What happened next?" Wooseok wanted to know.

"Cheng asked him if he wanted to break up, but my brother said he didn't. But he also said that he didn't know how to go on after what he did and now that he is so unsure about his feelings for Meng Yao. So he suggested a break in the relationship so they could both think about what they want and Cheng could have time to process this a bit. He said this completely calmly and collectedly, while Cheng was shaking all over and speechless."

Youn nodded, "Yes, that's exactly how I know your brother. Thinking and staying calm. And then calmly soul-search and look for a solution."

"Mn. I said the same thing and earned a rather annoyed look from Cheng in return. I then retreated to the bedroom. Zhan told me afterwards that the two of them agreed to give each other a week or two to think things over and then meet in a neutral place to talk."

"So would Youn cheat on me, it would be over and done with, that's all I can say about that. If I were Cheng, I would have broken up with Hai Kuan." Explained Wooseok.

"You say that now. But you never know how you would really react if something like that happened. We all always say one thing and then when something happens, we usually react completely differently after all. You have to remember that the two of them have been a couple for over a year, almost two years now, and Cheng really has very strong feelings for my brother. The two of them have even made plans for the future."

"What do you think your brother will do?" Asked Youn.

"Well, good question. Just a week ago, I would have told you without batting an eye, my brother will choose Cheng and everything will be fine. I was sure he would never cheat on Cheng. And now look at the mess. And no matter how much I think about it, I just can't imagine that my big brother would have done something like that. It's completely absurd to me. And not just because he's my brother, but because he's the only person I know who's more sincere and heartfelt than any other person."

"Except for Zhan, of course." Said Wooseok with a grin.

"Oh believe me, even Zhan has his dark side. Yes, he's wonderful to me, loving, attentive and all. But he also has a dark side in him that he has no problem letting out."

"Even to you?" Wooseok wanted to know.

"No, not toward me. I only got a glimpse of his dark side once. But I was still working as an escort for him then. I had disappointed him, was unprofessional, brought bad temper to work and he ended our contract. He was hard and very cold then. Just a real businessman. But he had also been right."

"What do you think will become of Cheng and Hai Kuan?" Youn wanted to know.

"I don't know. I can't even speculate about it. Nor do I want to. I'm much more interested in when Zhan and I will finally have time together again." Replied Yibo.

Actually, Yibo had wanted to spend the night with the two in the apartment and it was already planned that way. But shortly before midnight Zhan wrote him a message and asked him if they could talk. Yibo panicked and wondered what Zhan wanted to talk to him about. He was just still so unsure since their reconciliation that he would have preferred to ignore the message and just go to sleep.

But, Yibo swore to Zhan that he would talk to him openly and honestly so that it would never happen again. Therefore, he wrote to Zhan that he was ready for a talk and Zhan personally picked him up from the apartment. He waited at the car downstairs after he got there and wrote Yibo to come down.

Nervously, Yibo stepped out of the front door and walked toward Zhan. His heart was hammering so hard in his chest that it almost hurt. As Zhan spread his arms, however, Yibo immediately calmed down and ran to Zhan and into his arms. He clung to Zhan and hugged him as tight as he could.

Zhan laughed happily and gave Yibo a kiss. "I'm sorry if I scared you with my message. But I really wanted to talk to you today."

"Okay, what's it about?" Yibo asked.

"I know I've hardly been there for you these past few days, and I want to apologize to you for that. I know that we both really need this time to ourselves. But I can't just send my brother away either."

"Yeah, I know."

"Yibo, I talked to him and explained that we both need time to ourselves too. On top of that, I had planned to introduce you to my parents this weekend and I'm not going to postpone that. So, if you want, I would like to go with you to my parents' house in the afternoon to introduce you to each other. And, Cheng and I have agreed that he will only get one hour with me each evening and then the two of us, just you and me, will have the rest of the evening to ourselves."

"Are you serious ZhanZhan?"

"Yes. So what do you say baby? Would you like to meet my parents?"

"Yes of course, very much so. And I look forward to spending the evenings with you again. I've missed this so much."

"Me too baby. And that's why I also talked to Cheng. He's my little brother, so he's very important to me. But that doesn't mean you're any less important to me because of that. Quite the opposite. You just mean everything to me and I don't want to lose you."

"You won't lose me ZhanZhan. I had no intention of breaking up with you. Yes, I was sad that we can't work on our relationship and I still feel insecure and yes, a little left out too. But I definitely wasn't planning on ending our relationship. I love you and I'm glad we reconciled."

"Baby, I really do love you more than anything. I'm sorry you felt that way and I promise you, from now on, it won't happen again."

"Thank you ZhanZhan."

"What happened to honey?"

"I think ZhanZhan is better."

"Okay."

"You ZhanZhan?"

"Mn? If your brother does stay longer and needs you more, then I could also move back into the apartment for now."

"Is that what you want?"

"No."

"I don't want that either Yibo. I want you with me. And like I said, I talked to my brother and we'll have more time together again from now on."

"Maybe next weekend, when I introduce you to my parents then, we could spend the weekend there in a hotel?"

"Sure, I'd love to."

"Yeah."

"haha, you're so excited."

"Sure, because then I'll have you all to myself for three days and two nights."

"Oho, so you're looking forward to "that". But that's not quite true. Because in the meantime, we'll be visiting your parents."

"Yes, we will. But we'll spend the time together at their place."

"Off home then." Said Yibo with a grin and jumped into the car. Laughing, Zhan nodded and then got into the car himself.

During the drive back to the mansion, Yibo beamed happily and rejoiced. Finally he would be able to have Zhan more to himself again and finally they would work on their relationship. And even more he was happy that Zhan came to him by himself.

The only thing that was still on Yibo's mind but had nothing to do with Zhan or the relationship with him was that he still can't believe that his brother really cheated on Cheng. No matter that his own brother even told it himself, he just didn't believe him. Could his brother really be completely different than Yibo had always thought?
