MONSTERTOWN PT-1

-M O N S T E R T O W N-
~PART - 1 — NARRATOR'S POV~
~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~
Aah. The lovely village of Monstertown. That might be the name, but this place is inhabited by humans too. One of them named Y/N, who was the most beautiful girl in the entire place, which gave her the nickname "Beauty". Everyone adored her, though she wasn't very lady-like like a girl should be. She loved to read, and had a wild sense of adventure. Though she was forbidden to leaving the village by her very kind father. All girls envy her as Undyne shows much interest in Y/N, but no one else (sorry Alphys!).

YOUR POV
I jogged through the village with my basket full of berries in hand.
"Hello Mr. Baker!" I chirp as I enter the bakery (What an original name). I hand the basket to him.
"Hello Beauty! Thanks for getting me these cherries for my Cherry Pies today. You really are a sweetheart!" Mr. Baker beams. I smile.
"Hey, I'd do anything for you!" I tell him.
"Bye!" He shouts as I exit.
"Later!" I say. I skipped out of the small building, heading over towards the library. Or "Liberary" as it says on the sign. I recently finished this amazing book, and now I need to return it and get a new one!
"Hello Alphys!" I call the librarian. She looks over at me from her ladder.
"H-hey Y/N! Finished y-your book a-already?" She asks. I giggle at her stuttering.
"Yup! I'm here to return it for a new one!" I tell her. I take a wheeled ladder and roll it up to a certain shelf. I climb up it eagerly, putting away the finished book, and taking a new one. Alphys fixes her glasses.
"The Legends Of Dogamy And Dogaressa? You read that book already exactly twenty-six times." She says. I laugh.
"I know, but it's so good! The story as at its finest, and it's my favorite!" I remark. She shrugs.
"I can't deny that!" Alphys giggles.
"See you Alphy!" I wave to her as I leave.
   "Bye Beauty!"
I walked back to my house, seeing if my dad, Sans was there, along with Uncle Papyrus. He was always on different business trips, so the housework was always left to me. I knocked lightly on the door and opened it.
   "Father?" I call.
"Y/N?" He replies from the other room. I close the door behind me.
"Sans! You're not on a business trip right now?" I say, running over to hug him.
"Nope! I'm off for the week. But you, young lady, have chores to do." He states, letting go of me (If you love me let me GOOOOO). I make a pouty face.
   "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine." I say.

After finishing my daily roundabouts, I went back out to the village. My house was on the edge of the town, with a river and bridge to get to the place. As I came in, I could see Mettaton the show-robot, also Alphys' good friend, who loved putting on plays in the Town Square.
I sat on the stone Flowey fountain, opening up my book.
   "HEY BEAUTY!" Lombok yells.

Hah, she was always loud like that.
"Hey Lombok What's up?" I ask. She smiles brightly.
"JUST DROPPING SOME THINGS OFF AT UNDYNE'S HOUSE." She replies. Lombok trains with Undyne so she can be a part of the crew.
"Okay. See you later?" I say.
"LATER." Lombok shouts, running off to the fish woman's house. I laugh. Even though she was my best friend, and my age, she could be so childish sometimes.
   "Hey punk!" Holy Asgore.
"Hey Undyne." I say giggling. She may take interest in me and nobody else, but I just consider Undyne as a friend (OOOOOOH YOU JUST GOT FRIENDZONED! Sorry).
"So what's a Beauty-ful maiden like you doing reading?" She asks, disgusted at the 'reading' part. I snort. A maiden. That's all they think of about girls like me.
"I'm re-reading my favorite book, The Legends Of Dogamy And Dogaressa. It's an Adventure Romance story where—" She cut off my rambling.
"Yeah, yeah. But I want to know about you." Undyne states. She placed her spear gently beside her, leaning in towards me. I leaned backwards, knowing what she wanted. And she wasn't going to get it.
"Umm," I say awkwardly, "I think I hear Sans calling. Later Undyne!" I blurt, snatching up my book, and holding my gown so I could run faster. I said hello to a couple of friends, like [Insert Friend's Name]. And so I came home to family.
   "Hey dad!" I chirp.
"Back so soon?" Sans asks. I laugh.
"Wow! It's nice to see you too." I away sarcastically. Even though he had a permanent smile on his skull, I could see his frown.
"What is it? Is something wrong?" I ask worriedly. He chuckles.
"No," Father sighs, "I have another business trip, and I'm leaving tomorrow." It was my turn to frown.
"I thought you were done for the week." My face and tone clearly showed that I was confused. He chuckled again.
"I thought so too, but I have some trade in the Northern region." He informs me. I clap a hand over my mouth.
   "Father!" I cry.
"You can't go! You must go through the Dark Woods to get to the Northern region!"
"Don't worry my child," Sans assures me (TORI HE STOLE YOUR LINE! Sorry again...), "I will be okay." I sniffle.
   "Alright," I mumble.
"But I do have a question for you." I look up.
   "Yes?" I answer.
"When I go to the North, what do you present would you like from my trip? Anything you want, anything at all." Dad tells me. I tap my chin, thinking about it for a minute.
"A rose, a red rose." I reply after a bit of consideration. His 'eyebrows' shoot up.
"A red rose? You can have anything, but you want a rose?" He marvels. I stifle a laugh. I knew he'd be surprised.
"I don't need anything else besides my family." I giggle, bending down to hug my short adoptive father. He smiles as I release him.
"Get ready for bed Y/N." Sans orders. I nod happily.
"G'night Dad!" I say, running up to my room.
   "Good night Beauty."
