THE BEAST PT-1

~PT - 1 — YOUR POV~
~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~
I couldn't take it. Nobody would do well in a storm like that in the forest. Definitely not. So I had gathered up a couple of my things, taken my horse from Aaron's stables, and rode into the woods (Into the woods!). It shouldn't be that hard to find him, I mean, he's a short, punny, lazy skeleton. That's not that hard to find, right? This is probably gonna be harder than I originally guessed.
I continued to ride my horse, of which I named Catty (You know who I'm referring to), and went through the thick forest for what felt like forever. After a long while, a few days just to say, I finally came upon a castle. It had vines growing up the walls, with a large iron gate that opened up as we came closer.
"Oh-kay . . . ? That's odd, but now we have shelter." I tell my horse. Wow. A human girl talking to her mount, in a dark, creepy, forest. Totally doesn't make me sound crazy! I rode on in, heading towards the stables so I could tie up my horse. Once that was done, I went on inside. It was grand! Like an actual castle should. I wandered around for a bit.
"WHO'S THAT?"
"Calm down Papyrus."
"Who's that Mom?"
"Another one? The boss ain't gonna like this . . ."
"RUFF RUFF RUFF!"
"Calm down Annoying Dog!"
Who was talking? Where were these voices coming from? Is this place haunted? Whatever. Better not let this stuff get to me. I looked out the windows. It was early dusk, clouds covering the sky. Looked like another storm was coming today.
"Father? Are you in here?" I whisper. Then, ever so faintly, I heard him.
"B . . . Beauty?" He says. I let out a sigh of relief. Searching around the area where I heard my father's voice, finally found him. But what I saw wasn't as expected. Sans was in what seemed to be a prison cell.
"Oh goodness no . . ." My eyes widened at the sight.
"RAAAAAAAAAWWR!" A loud roar echoed through the halls. A large goat monster in black armor walked up to us.
"Please don't hurt us! Please! Just let my father go, and I'll take his place. I just want him to be safe!" I plead.
"Y/N! What are you doing?" My father whispers to me.
"I'm trying to save you!" I tell him. My father is the only thing I have for family, ever since mum died. The monster growled at me.
"I shall consider your bargain." I began to smile, but he gave me an intimidating death glare, which caused me to back up a bit. Taking out a key from one of his pockets, he unlocked the cell, granting my father his freedom.
"Now leave." The monster says sternly. Sans picked himself up and started walking away. I was about to move forward, but the monster held me back. I can't even say a proper goodbye with a hug? This might be the last time I'll see my dad in a long while! We waited 'till the thumping of my father's horse's hooves faded out into the night air. I waited in the garden out in front of the castle, waiting for him to be completely gone. I didn't want Sans to see me like this. Crying, trying ever-so-hard to keep the tears in.
This moment might seem like a cliché scene from a sappy romance novel, but if you were actually experiencing this, you'd be crying as well. Stay strong Y/N, stay strong. I spun around, head down, and walked up the stairs and back into the castle halls. I explored a bit more around the place, coming across the dining hall. There was a candle holder sitting in the middle of the table.
"HELLO! I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS! WELCOME TO THE CASTLE! I SEE YOU ALREADY MET THE BOSS?" He asks me. I froze in place. A talking candle holder, with a face?
   "Yeah, I have . . ." I reply with a sigh. Papyrus frowns.
"YEAH. HE ISN'T VERY FRIENDLY WHEN IT COMES TO, UM, NEW PEOPLE."  He says. I nod my head.
"HERE! I'LL INTRODUCE YOU TO SOME OF MY FRIENDS! MK! TORIEL! FRISK! ANNOYING DOG!" Papyrus calls out. A foot rest, a tea pot, a tea cup, and a short-looking grandfather clock (I haven't the foggiest idea of what they're called) hopped onto the table.
"AS YOU KNOW, I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS," I giggled at the nickname, "THAT IS TORIEL, AND THE SMALLER ONE IS FRISK." He points to the tea pot and cup.
"Hello my child, I am Toriel. I am the mother of . . ." She glanced away for a second.
"And ME!" Frisk yells out, followed by some giggles. How adorable.
"I'm Monster Kid! But you can call me MK!" The clock tells me.
"THE FOOT STOOL IS ANNOYING DOG, BY THE WAY." Papyrus notifies me. I nod. They all seemed to be such nice people! What happened to the other monster? Why is he so . . . Unkind, and angry, . . . and just plain rude!
"If you don't mind, I'm going to explore a bit more." I tell them.
"If you wish young one." Toriel says with a kind smile.
   "SEE YOU, UM . . ." Oops.
"Y/N. Y/N L/N. Though many people from my village call me 'Beauty'." I explain.
"I can see why! You're so pretty!" Frisk laughs. I blush.
   "Totally! Later Beauty!" MK says.
"See you guys." I say. Walking towards the back gardens, I spot the 'prince' tending to the bright yellow flowers.
"I never did get his name," I say out loud.
"YOU WANT TO KNOW THE BOSS' NAME?" Papyrus asks, startling me.
   "Yes?" I answer.
   "A S R I E L  D R E E M U R"
