Waling-waling

Wishing on a rainbow for a fresh spring day, is something we all like to do

After autumn came and went, it seems that winter came to stay

Long dark nights, and chilly days, drained our batteries dry

Icy streets, by freezing rain, keep the children from their play

Noel is white and bright, giving the world a short-lived glow

Gone now are the garlands and tinsel, to leave us blue

Weeping Willows excited by the breeze, make one sneeze

All around us, natures rebirth is delivering its new charge

Little lambs and calves open eyes wide, to witness their first day

In full bloom, it's now Waling-waling's turn to add its silken colour to our day

Now swarms of Bluebirds fill the skies, and dance to birdsong in delight

Given to us as a gift of nature, the indescribable feeling of Spring is welcomed here
