Next Day 7 AM

It's the new day and as per the schedule it was the first day of Anupamaa's catering team to cook and serve full day meals for the prisoners and staff members of Ahmedabad Central Jail for next one Year.

And being the first day Anupamaa was all nervous and restless thinking about the outcome of today's hardwork and meals. Her team had already started preparing for cooking process. Like one set of group was cutting vegetables, while the next set was washing the vegetables and where as the next set was busy in washing the utensils and other items to be used.

Anupamaa was present there too being completely attentive keeping an eye on each set and each and everything going around her keenly.

"Arrey Vimla Ben zara theek se aur aaram se dhoiye ne Palak ko.. Agr aise hi jaldi jaldi main dhoyege ne Palak toh saari Meethi [ Sand ] aajayegi khaane main aur phir pehle hi din naak kat jayegi bolo.." said Anupamaa seeing one of her team mate washing the Spinach in a hate.

While the lady nodded her head and silently obeyed the words of Anupamaa performing her work sincerely now. Anupamaa on the other hand moved towards the other set of team mates instructing and guiding them professionally yet politely.

"Waah Anupamaa Ben aaj toh aap gazab dhaa rahi hain.. Kya baath hain aaj toh aap itni acche se tayar hokar aayi hain.. Koi khaas baath hain kya?" asked Basanti, one of the team mate of Anupamaa seeing her dressed up differently and attractively.

"Haa hain na Basanti.. Bahoot bahoot khaas din chee aaj. Isiliye toh itne acche se reedy [ Ready ] hokar aayi hu.." replied Anupamaa playfully responding to her team mate giggling slowly.

"Hume bhi toh bataiye kya khaas din hain aaj ? Aur yeh Sindoor aur Mangalsutra pehena hain aapne aaj ? 6 Mahine hogaye hume aapke iss Catering Services main kaam karte hue per kabhi yeh Sindoor ya Mangalsutra ke saath nhi dekha aapku. Dekha toh sirf yeh Radha Krishna ka locket pehene hue dekha aapku toh aaj yeh sab ?" asked another lady Harini, while kneading the flour as well along with asking her doubt confusingly.

Where as Anupamaa's Eyes shifts towards the same long haired man who stood in the line of washroom to get freshen up, and smiled widely touching her Sindoor and holding her Mangalsutra crying silently.

"Woh aaj Karwa Chauth hain Harini, har saal ki tarah iss saal bhi maine apne Kapadia Ji ke liye vrat rakha hain. Tum dono nayi ho mere iss katering ke kaam [ Catering ] main isiliye tum dono ko pata nhi hain ki har saal Karwa Chauth ke din main apna Mangalsutra pehenti hu aur Sindoor bhi lagati hu apne Kapadia Ji ke naam ka. Itne saal hogaye mere Kapadia Ji ko aise bina bataye gayab hue per main aaj bhi unke salaamati ke liye vrat rakh ti hu." continued Anupamaa ahead while still staring the Man with all her genuine emotions and memories flashing in her mind emotionally.

Whereas the Man feeling someone's continuous Eye on Him stared back at Anupamaa for a while but then soon averted His Eyes towards the other direction sternly.

"Accha yeh sab chodo ne Harini aur yeh Kaddu acche se dhoke rakhna haa.. Mere Kapadia Ji ko Kaddu ki kheer bahoot bahoot pasand che toh main isse khud banaogi apne haathon se... Woh yaha iss waqt nhi hain toh kya hua ? Per unki faberate [ favorite  ] meetha main apne haathon se bana toh sakti hu ne .." said Anupamaa while wiping off her tears and ordering the lady smiling softly.

Anupamaa looked elegantly beautiful in Her Navy Blue Saree which was once gifted by Anuj to Her years ago. No matter how old or outdated the gifts were by now, Anupamaa even now kept each and every small gift given by Anuj to Her in Her Almarih safely.

While performing her work Anupamaa secretly glanced at the Man and smiled victoriously witnessing the Man staring at her back continuously.

"Mujhe pata hain yeh aap hi hain Kapadia Ji. Mere Aakhein aur Dil aapku pehchaane main ghalti nhi karsakte." told Anupamaa all to Herself touching Her Mangalsutra crying silently.

Soon She handed over her work to one of her team mate and turned to another direction marching inside the Police Station excusing Herself for a phone call smiling warmly.

And soon as she reached inside the Station, Raahi who stood right behind the wall along with Prem a bit far, hugged Anupamaa tightly and cried emotionally. Her eyes were all red and Her Heart too pumped faster witnessing Her PAPA standing infront her after ages in such condition.

"Bebli khud ko sambhal bacchi, dekh tere Papa aaj tere saamne khade hain ne.. Bhale door hi sahi per khade hain ne ? Dekh na bahoot jald woh humare saath bhi hoge haa. Bas hume thodi si himmat rakhna hain aur sacch tak pahuchna hain ki tere Papa iss Jail main aur iss halat main kaise pahuche.." said Anupamaa consoling and comforting her Daughter who broke miserably after seeing her Papa infront of her eyes after ages.

At first Raahi was not ready to believe her Ears and Her Mummy, when Anupamaa had narrated Her the entire truth about Anuj and Her meet with Anuj Yesterday, but now when She saw Her Papa infront Her Eyes alive, Her Feets stumbled and Her Eyes opened up wide in utter shock and astonishment. And the moment Her Mummy came near Her, Raahi broke into tears hugging Her Mummy tightly and emotionally.

"I'm sorry Mummy. I'm really sorry ki maine aapki baath pe yakeen nhi kiya. 20 saal pehle jo kuch bhi hua tha usse lekar main aapse pehle hi naaraz thi aur jab aapne Papa ka naam liya aur unke baare main bataya, mujhe aur ghussa aagaya. I'm really sorry ." cried Raahi aka Choti releasing the hug and holding the palms of Anupamaa in Her palms guilt fully.

"Koi baath nhi mahri Bebli. Abb toh tujhe saach pata chal gaya hain ne ki main jhooth nhi bol rahi thi ? Toh bas.. Abb rona band kar ne aur jaa thoda aaram karle. Jaise hi main yaha ka katering [ Catering ] ka kaam khatam hota hain hum milkar sochenge kya karna hain haa." said Anupamaa sending off Raahi and Prem both back to Kothari Nivas staring Anuj sternly and confidently.

"Agr aap ziddi hain Kapadia Ji toh aapki Mrs Kapadia bhi kam ziddi nhi hain aur aapku toh pata hain ne ki agr aapki Mrs jab koi cheez thaan leti hain ne woh usse poora karke hi dum leti hain haa. Sacch ka pata toh main laga kar hi rahugi Kapadia Ji. Bas thoda sa intezaar aur aap khud apne muh se sacch bolege." speaks Anupamaa to Herself smirking firmly at Anuj even now.

Soon Anupamaa wiped off her tears and marched towards the cooking area getting Herself busy in cooking the meals with Her other team mates dedicatedly and sincerely.

1 Hour later

1 Hour passed and the breakfast was all ready. Each and every prisoner and staff member was served and everyone were enjoying the meal wholeheartedly.

Amidst the eating session of everyone Anupamaa post adjusting Her Saree and making herself presentable from top to bottom, heads towards the long haired Man who was not seen with the other prisoners sitting out for meals.

She knowing the reason for the absence of the long haired Man, Herself marches towards His cell and stood right infront of His cell staring Him lying on the floor silently.

Seeing Her Anuj on Floor Her Heartbeat skipped a beat, tears too rolled down Her Eyes in rapid speed unable to believe Her own Eyes unbelievably.

The Anuj Kapadia whom she knew and with whom she had spent her earlier life once slept on a luxurious bed and lived a luxurious life facing no issues in His daily life, was now seen sleeping on the floor with just a single bedsheet on Him that too torn and all dirty. Anupamaa in no time covered her wide opened mouth with her both palms in utter shock breaking miserably.

The Anuj Kapadia who just wore Tuxedo and Formal wears was now on Floor wearing a dust stained criminal wears changing his charming look into a vulnerable state.

"Aaanujjj.." called out Anupamaa in a very low voice staring at the Man emotionally.

The Man whereas remained silent and kept sleeping peacefully not willing to respond to the emotional Anupamaa emotionlessly.

"Dekhiye ne main aapke liye Kaddu Ki kheer laayi hu. Aapku bahoot bahoot pasand che ne woh bhi mere haath ki ? Toh dekhiye main apne haath se banake laayi hu...." said Anupamaa composing herself and forwarding the bowl of kheer towards Anuj through the cell crying silently.

"Anuj uthiye ne.. Yeh lijiye khaiye ne kheer. Aapku pata hain ne kitni mehnat lagti hain Kaddu Ki kheer banane ? Aapne bhi toh banayi hain kitni ki baar mere saath. Toh chaliye jaldi uthiye ne." speaks Anupamaa yet again trying to make her Anuj divert His Eyes towards her smiling warmly.

The long Haired Man where as feeling irritated now with Anupamaa's continuous ranting of Anuj Anuj and Anuj since yesterday woke up finally and marched towards emotional Anupamaa harshly. He in no time grabbed the bowl of kheer in his Hands and threw the bowl on the floor angrily. The bowl broke into several pieces and the entire Kheer splashed on the floor shocking Anupamaa to the core.

"Yeh kya Anuj Anuj Anuj laga rakha hain kal se tumne ? Hain kaun yeh Anuj aakhir ?" yells the long haired Man finally shocking and surprising the poor Anupamaa immensely.

"Main koi Anuj Wanuj nhi hu samjhi.. Main yaha ka sirf ek kaidi [ Criminal ] hu koi Anuj Wanuj nhi.. Aur kisne kaha mujhe Kaddu Ki kheer pasand hain ? Mujhe koi kheer wheer bhi nhi pasand samjhi ? Chali jao yaha se warna main tumhe maar daaluga.." screams the Man continuously behaving all violent throwing the items present inside the cell angrily and violently.

While Anupamaa witnessing everything stumbles back and cries more bitterly unable to see her Kapadia Ji in such a state any more. The Kapadia Ji she knew was a very calmed and sensible Man who believed in solving the issues maturely. But seeing Her Kapadia Ji in such a total opposite nature has taken the floor beneath Her Feet breaking Her completely.

"Kaha na chali jao.. toh jaati kyu nhi ho ?" yells the Man yet again witnessing Anupamaa still standing there staring Him confusingly.

"Aanujj. Aap aisa kyu karahe ho ? Pleajj sambhaliye ne khud ko.. pleajj.. Main aapki Anu... Aapki Patni.. Pehchaniye ne Anuj mujhe pleajj." cried Anupamaa even more while begging and moving ahead towards Anuj crying miserably.

"Khabardaar aage bada toh.. Chali jao yaha se chup chaap.. paas mat aana mere.. mat aana paas warna.. warna main khud ko maar daluga..." said the Man yelling loudly while banging His own Head on the Wall insanely.

Anupamaa on the other hand stumbles back witnessing Anuj and steps back not willing to harm Her Anuj anymore. She immediately turns back and runs away from there to inform the Police authorities worriedly.

Soon the Inspector along with few Constables arrived there and with much struggle an Injection was injected in the Arms of the long haired Man leading Him to fall unconscious instantly.

"Yeh har baar ka hain Mrs Kapadia. Yeh banda itna violent hojaata hain ki hume isse control karne behoshi ka Injection dena padhta hain..Waise toh yeh hamesha hi violent hota hain aur Ek hi Injection main behosh hojata hain but aaj pata nhi aisa kya hua isse ki yeh kuch zyaada hi violent hogaya aur isse shant karane hume 2 dose dene padhe.." tells the Inspector witnessing Anupamaa's confused and shocked expressions seeing their actions numbly.

Anupamaa where as stood there all shocked for a while and then moves back blankly staring at her unconscious Anuj lying on the floor weakly. She being already shocked and unable to witness Her Kapadia Ji in such state immediately turns back and runs away from there crying bitterly.

Police Station ( Outside )

Post the recent incident of the long Haired Man, Anupamaa comes out of the Police station and stood there crying bitterly still trying to register the violent behaviour of Her Anuj unbelievably.

Feeling restless Anupamaa had excused Herself and instructed Her team to handle the rest of the day themselves in Her absence.

As Anupamaa proceeds ahead crying silently, Her Ears caught the attention of something leading her Feet to march towards a particular direction confusingly.

"Haa haa Sir Ji aap fikr mat kariye. Aapne jaisa kaha tha maine waisa hi kardiya hain. Uss Anuj Kapadia ke behoshi wale injection ko maine drugs wale injection se badal diya hain. Abb woh 4-5 ghante tak sota hi rahega aur jaise hi uthega woh hamesha ki tarah halla hi machayega." said the voice of a constable talking on a phone's speaker to someone from other side smiling evilly.

"Good.. Shabash Constable Harish. Bahut accha kaam kiya hain tumne. Abb yaad rahe next dose uss Anuj Kapadia ko aaj raat main dena hain toh kaise bhi karke usse ghussa dilwao, ya kisi cheez se usse aur bhadkao taaki next dose de sake usse." replied the person from other side sounding stern and firm.

"Haa Sir Ji don't worry, hojayega yeh bhi." speaks the constable in reply assuring the Man on the other side confidently.

While Anupamaa who was hidden behind a wall over hears the entire conversation and widens Her eyes and Her mouth in utter shock and astonishment staring the constable numbly.

"Mujhe pata tha ki woh mere Kapadia Ji hain. Main apne Kapadia Ji ko pehchaan na saku aisa ho hi nhi sakta ne. Thank You Kanha Ji mera vishwaas ko sahi saabit karne ke liye." tears rolled down Her Eyes in immense happiness seeing Her confidence wasn't wrong and Her Heart was right in recognising Her Kapadia Ji.

"Waise kehna padega Sir Ji. Itne mahine hogaye aapka transfer hoge Delhi phir bhi aap iss Anuj Kapadia ko dose dena ek baar bhi nhi bhoolte. 6 mahine pehle aapne choda tha Ahmedabad Central Jail per phir bhi uss Anuj Kapadia ko aap aaj bhi utni hi zimmedari se dose dete hain jiss tarah aap 20 saal pehle bhi dete the jab aap uska case handle karte the." said the constable with a wide smirk on His Face evilly.

"Abb kar bhi kya sakte Harish ? Jiss tarah tujhe darr lagta hain mere ghusse se, theek ussi tarah mujhe bhi lagta hain darr uss sanki [ Mad ] aadmi se. Arrey wohi toh hain iss khel ka asli Mastermind aur yeh sab kand karne wala. 20 saal jo khel usne shuru kiya tha woh aaj bhi chalu hain aur pata nhi kitne din aur yeh khel chalu rahega. Ussi ne toh Anuj Kapadia ko iss jail main pahuchaya hain. Jab woh aadmi THE ANUJ KAPADIA ko jail pahucha sakta hain toh main kiss khet ki sabzi hu.. Warna mujhe kya padhi hain is Anuj Kapadia ko har din dose dene ki." responded the Man with his full annoyance and frustration irritatedly.

"Haa sahi kaha aapne Sir Ji. Jab woh sanki aadmi apne paiso ki power bata kar saari media ko apne haath main le sakta hain aur Anuj Kapadia jaise badi hasti ki news leak hone se rokh sakta hain toh aap aur hum kya cheez hain. Badi pahuchi hui cheez hain woh Sangi Aadmi." agreed the constable too annoyingly.

"Accha chal Harish main rakhta hu. Mere duty ka bhi time horaha hain. Aur yaad se dose dedena uss Anuj Kapadia ko aaj raat ka.." said the Man ending the call and the conversation while reminding the Constable about the drugs dose sternly.

"Accha Sir Ji.. And don't worry main kar dunga aapka kaam aaj raat main hi.." said the constable to which the Man too nodded His head positively.

Soon the call was ended and the constable scans the entire area around Him for His safety and enters inside the station carefully.

"Yeh jo koi bhi hain main iska pata laga kar hi rahugi aur mere Kapadia Ji ko main kuch hone bhi nhi dugi. Aap bahoot jald humare saath hoge Anuj. Bahoot jald.. Mujhe acche se pata hain ki abb kya karna hain.." said Anupamaa with full confidence and full faith wiping off her tears sternly and firmly.

Soon Anupamaa starts walking and marches towards a particular direction smiling confidently.

Kothari Nivas

Soon Anupamaa reached the Kothari Nivas and yelled out for her Choti and the entire Kothari Family firmly.

Everyone gathered the next minute itself and stood around the firm Anupamaa staring at Her confusingly.

"Kya hua Mummy ? Kuch pata chala Papa ka ki woh jail main kyu hain, kaise pahuche ? Unki halat waise kisne ki ?" asks Raahi like a bullet train staring at Anupamaa for Her answers impatiently.

"Haa Anupamaa Ji boliye.. Kuch pata chala ki yeh sab mere dost ke saath kisne kiya ? Mera buddy Anuj jo hasta khelta tha woh aaj iss halat main kaise pahucha kuch pata chala ?" continues Parag Kothari too soon after Raahi, getting equally emotional and curious to know about Anuj impatiently.

Anuj Kapadia and Parag Kothari were best friends forever. Ever since both had gained their senses in childhood both became the best friend forever being close neighbours to each other in Baroda.

From their schooling to their Masters and PhD in Business management, both Anuj and Parag were together living their every bit of life happily.

But as said Marriage and responsibilities changes everything, same thing happened with both Anuj and Parag. Parag post His marriage with Prem's biological Mother and His First Wife Gayathri, shifted to USA with His family and there Anuj was left lonely fighting with his own fate and life lonely.

But inspite of being best friend of Anuj, Parag was still unaware of Anuj's crush on Anupamaa as Anuj never felt it necessary to tell about Anupamaa to Parag. And the only reason for not revealing it to Parag was that by the time He could tell Parag everything, Anupamaa was already married to Vanraj Shah and Parag was also shifted to the USA with his family. Hence Anuj since that day had spent His entire life all alone fighting with his own pain and agony which He had successfully buried deep inside his Heart forever.

And now after Years post Yesterday's small confrontation with Anuj in the Jail, Anupamaa had disclosed everything to Kothari Family about Anuj including showing the Photo of Anuj to them, shaking Parag to the core emotionally.

All these Years Parag had tried to contact Him each time He visited India and had even gone to His Residence in India too but unfortunately His Fate kept ditching Him every time He tried to find His Best Friend breaking Him everyday.

"Wohi toh pata lagana hain Bhai Sahab. Aur woh abb aap hi pata laga sakte hain ki yeh sab Anuj ke saath kisne kiya hain. 20 saal pehle aise kya hua tha ki jo Anuj aaj is halat main jail main hain." said Anupamaa marching towards Parag Kothari staring Him pleadingly.

While the rest including Prem, Raahi and Parag Kothari Himself stared at Anupamaa confusingly and surprisingly.

"Woh aaj maine...." said Anupamaa finally that happened in the Police Station today in return of everyone's shock glares breaking down miserably.

"Jab woh Aadmi apne Paiso ke dum per mere Kapadia Ji ko yaha iss halat main jail pahuncha sakta hain bina kisi ghalti ke toh aap bhi toh apne paiso ke dum per pata laga sakte hain ne ki woh purana enspecter kaun tha, aur usne kiske kehne pe yeh sab kiya.." continued Anupamaa ahead staring at Parag firmly and confidently.

For Parag since the day He met Anupamaa, a hatred was formed in His Heart for Anupamaa witnessing Her stern and arrogant nature towards Him. For him, Anupamaa and Raahi were the 2 reasons for the differences between Him and His Son.

The moment each time Anupamaa appeared infront of Him, His Eyes flared with fire and anger towards Anupamaa recollecting the day when Anupamaa threw money on His Face which he had offered to Her for separating Prem and Raahi from eachother. The Anupamaa He knew was a very simple and straightforward Woman who keeps Her relations above any Money and Power.

But today watching the same Anupamaa asking Him to use his Money and Power, shakes Him to the core. He widened His eyes and stared at Anupamaa shockingly.

But thinking about His Best Friend, Parag finally without wasting any moment decided to help Anupamaa with all His Heart being overwhelmed.

Soon using his power and sources, Parag called up a number talking with someone firmly and confidently.

"Maine apne manager ko keh diya hain pata lagane ke liye ki 20 saal pehle jo Anuj Kapadia ka case handle kar raha tha uss Inspector ka naam, patha aur baaki ke saari important details related to him jald se jald pata karke Kothari Nivas lekar aaye.." speaks Parag with full firmness and assurance in His voice staring Anupamaa confidently.

Anupamaa too on the other hand smiled back warmly and marched to and fro in the Kothari Nivas keeping frequent glances at the entrance of the Nivas impatiently.

While Parag too broke into tears and sat on the sofa behind Him in a jerk staring at His and Anuj's picture crying silently. Prem whereas sat with beside his Father consoling Him maturely.

Ahmedabad Central Jail

Deep inside the Police Station away from all the crowd and hustle bustle in the extreme darkness in His cell, there sat a Man staring at the happy faces of people drawn by Himself on the wall in a corner. He kept staring at the happy faces on the wall and smiled softly feeling emotional. He caresses the Faces for a while with utmost love and then keeps the same Hand on His Heart with closed eyes crying silently.

"Kismat hum Dono ko phir se milwayegi iski umeed nhi ki thi maine ANU... Hum mile toh hain Anu per har baar ki tarah iss baar bhi kismat hum dono ko Ek nhi kar sakti Anu. Humara alag rehna hi behter hain tumahre liye aur humari Choti ke liye bhi." said the Man, same long haired man who kept staring at the happy Faces of HIS ANU AND HIS CHOTI lovingly.

"Tumne bahut try kiya, koshish bhi ki mujhse baath karne ki per main majboor hu Anu, main chahke bhi tumse baath nhi kar paoga aur na tumhe gale laga sakuga. kyuki MAIN EK CRIMINAL HU.. HAA HAA TUMAHARA ANUJ EK CRIMINAL HAIN aur criminal se jitna door rahoge tum aur Choti utna hi accha hoga." continued Anuj revealing Himself while talking to the images of Anupamaa and Aadhya crying silently.

"Uper se main ek DRUG ADDICTED bhi hu.. Mujhe pata hain mera Bhai.. Haa mera Bhai.. the so called ANKUSH KAPADIA ne koi mauka nhi choda mujhe baar baar dhokha dene main, aur wohi Bhai aaj bhi mujhe pareshan karta hain aur chupke chupke drugs deta hain peechle 20 saaalon se aur uss drugs ki itni buri adat hogayi hain mujhe ki ek din na mile mujhe woh drugs toh aisa lagta hain ki main mar jaoga.. Abb tumhi batao agr main kamzoor padh gaya aur tumhara vishwaas ko jeetne dediya maine toh tum mujhe chudwane har mumkin koshish karugi aur agr main chut bhi gaya toh aage ki life tumahre liye aur humari Choti ke liye bhaut mushkil hoogi. After all ek Drugs addicted insaan ke saath zindagi guzarna asaan nhi hain Anu.. Nhi hain.." cries Anuj more bitterly coughing a bit in between His conversation feeling broken.

"Tumhe kya lagta hain Anu ? Mujhe tumse baath karne ka Dil nhi karta ? Tumhe gale se lagalu woh Dil nhi karta ? Kya meri Aakhein tarasti nhi meri Choti ko dekhne ? usse gale se laga lene ? Bahut karta hain Anu, bahut karta hain trust me but I'm helpless ! main majboor hu.."

"Tumhe pata hain jab maine tumhe Kal dekha tha pehli baar 20 Saal baad toh aisa laga ki meri jaan meri Jism main wapis aagayi hain. Aisa laga ki phir se zinda hogaya hu. Aur aaj jab tumhe itne Saalon baad mere naam ka Sindoor lagate hue dekha aur Mangalsutra pehente hue dekha aur wohi bhi meri di hui Saree main toh aisa laga ki main jab ka jab ussi waqt sab kuch bhool kar tumhe apne seene se lagalu aur kehdu ki main hi hu tumhara Kapadia Ji, per main kya karu main chahke bhi aisa nhi kar sakta aur na bata sakta hu ki main hi tumhara Anuj hu. Main hi hu tumhara Kapadia Ji...." cries Anuj letting out His inner pain which he had buried inside Him since yesterday after seeing His Anu infront of Him after Years.
