Enjoy my lovelies!

jungkook settled into his bed with butterflies in his stomach.
tomorrow was the first day of school.
at a totally different school.
with totally different students.
with totally different teachers.
with totally different everything.
he was so nervous.
he wondered if anyone would even consider him as a human being.
anticipating the worst, he would probably be the loner instead of the popular new kid that everybody wants to meet.
he tossed and turned for what felt like hours, finding no comfort in any position.
after a while of boiling in his own sweat, he calmed his breathing and let sleep consume him.

jungkook woke up to his alarm screaming in his ear.
he grunted and got up as he slung an arm over and shut it off.
today was the day.
he felt like crawling in a hole already.
today was the first day of hell, i mean school.
this morning, he would be moving into his new dorm.
it was 4:30 in the morning and they had to be there at 6.
his mother came in his room and plopped his ironed out uniform next to him on the bed, "it's the first day of school, jungkook-ah!"
"yay." he responded, quite unenthusiastically.
"now don't be grumpy." his mother scolded lightly, "today is the start of a new journey and you should be at least a little bit excited for yourself."
"i know eomma, it's just hard for me to let go of things that i have already." jungkook slumped his shoulders.
" jungkook, it is hard and it will be hard, but think of the great things that you'll get to experience!" she exclaimed, grasping his shoulders.
"what new things?" he muttered.
"you'll make new friends and find some new favorite subjects and you'll be playing for the football team and you'll just have a fantastic time, trust me." his mom assured.
"what if i don't have a fantastic time? what if none of the people like me and i'll be just some weirdo? what if i don't do well in football? what if everything just crumbles apart for me?" he worries, hands gesturing at the air wildly.
"listen, you won't be able to find any of that out if you don't go." she said, rubbing his back.
"i guess you're right about that." he chuckled, looking down at the floor.
"and if you don't like it there, you don't have to attend anymore." she soothed.
he nodded, cracking a small smile.
"and you have a football game every week, and i promise you that we will go to every single one of them." she smiled, extending her hand to brush his fringe from his forehead.
"really?" he questioned.
"why, of course!" she giggled. "you're our son, what else would we do?"
"thanks, mom." jungkook laughed before engulfing his mom in a bear hug.
his mother couldn't help but smile into his shoulder, "you're welcome, sweetie."
they broke apart from their hug and his mom kissed his cheek, "come on, you take a shower and when you're done you can have some breakfast."
"alright." he smiled, taking his laid-out uniform and going into the bathroom.
she walked out of the room and shut his door, "i love you, kook-ah."
