Jailbreak

Bucky's POV

"They have Steve? How? Since when?" Tony asks, suiting up.

"He went out on his own and I guess they found him. I don't know, we just have to go, now!" I speak quickly as I rush everyone out of the compound.

"Where exactly are they keeping Steve?" Natasha asks as we maintain a low-profile in town.

"In some antique store."

"And how do you know this?" Sam asks.

"Just trust me, okay?" I sigh, not knowing how to break the news that Ally is still alive to everyone.

We finally reach the old antique store and head in two by two to make things less suspicious to the public. I walk in first with Sam and we look around the place, only seeing small knicknacks. The others soon join us in looking for any doors or stairs.

"I think I found something." Clint says as he taps on a floor board.

"It's hollow." Tony says. He rips the piece of wood up to reveal what looks like a tunnel of some sort. We tear up the floor around it to reveal the entire tunnel opening before jumping down and walking the only way it leads.

Alexandra's POV

"How did he get away? You had him!" Zemo shouts. He steps closer to me and grabs my face harshly. "Did he recognize you?"

I remain silent and he clenches his jaw in anger. He squeezes my face before throwing me to the ground and walking out of the room.

The door slams shut and I help myself up to my knees. I place a hand on the side my face, where there are probably now bruises, and squeeze my eyes shut. This is a nightmare.

I hear what sounds like a gunshot and jump to my feet. Are James and the others here already? That was a lot quicker than I expected.

My cell door swings open once again to reveal Zemo with the familiar scanner linked to the chip in my head.

"It seems we have guests." He turns the small machine on. "But I assume you knew they'd be coming." He glares at me. "Such a shame you'll be too busy babysitting to make a run for it."

A smirk appears on his face and I furrow my eyebrows. Babysitting? He pushes the button on his toy and everything goes black.

Steve's POV

A gunshot echoes off of the walls in my cell and I furrow my eyebrows. I press my ear to the door to hear what's going on but the door swings open. Two soldiers lift me from my seated position and drag me to another dark room before locking the door.

What was the point of that?

I sigh and sit against the wall as my eyes readjust to the darkness. A small chuckle from somewhere in the room startles me and I stand before investigating the room.

I feel a hand on my chest as I'm pushed against a wall and blink repeatedly to see who's in front of me. Stupidly, I reach out to feel for the person, which results in me being slammed to the floor.

"Watch your hands, Captain." The person speaks with laughter in their voice.

They remove what I'm assuming is their foot from on top of me and step away. I do my best to calm my breathing as a sense of déjà-vu comes over me. When has this happened before?

"Do you not think I'm a good enough sparring partner?" She crosses her arms.

"No! No, I mean, yeah I think you're fine but-"

"But I'm a girl?" She cuts me off. "Or is it because I'm Tony's daughter?"

I bite my tongue as she speaks.

"I'll have you know that I was Hydra's second-best assassin. First-best after James disappeared." She huffs.

"Ally, I just don't want to hurt you." I explain. "Don't take it personally, okay?"

She sighs and drops her defensive demeanor. I give her a small smile and step closer to wrap my arms around her.

To my surprise, she grabs my arm and flips me onto my back before lightly putting her heel on my chest. She looks down at me with a smirk on her face as I lay there, processing what just happened.

I quickly get to my feet and narrow my eyes as I make out the dark figure in one of the corners. I cautiously make my way over to her and pause when I hear her unsheathe a knife.

"I'm not going to hurt you." I speak softly, putting my hands up.

"I know you're not." She chuckles. "However, I can't promise the same for you." She steps closer, knife in hand.

It's almost impossible to see anything in this room, but there's no doubt that's Ally's voice. "But you.. You're dead." I furrow my eyebrows, unable to process this.

"That funny because I feel pretty alive." She remarks.

"How did you get here? When did this happen? How did you survive that accident?" I flood her with questions.

She steps closer and presses the flat side of the blade against my face. "No more talking."

I swallow nervously, knowing that something isn't right. "What did they do to you?" I ask again.

She twirls the knife in her hand and jabs it into my side. The knife is small and she didn't push it too deep but it obviously still hurts as it cuts a large hole in my side. I yelp out in pain and hold my side as I lean against the wall.

"I said no talking." She growls.

"This isn't you." I speak up, doing my best to ignore the pain and flowing blood.

Somehow, I'm able to block her next knife attack in the dark as I catch her wrist. Instead she knees me where the sun don't shine, causing me to double over.

"They're messing with your head, Ally!" I groan, holding onto her wrist tightly to make her drop the knife.

I take a deep breath and stand up before pushing her against the wall. I get close enough to see the smirk on her face and control my urge to wrap my arms around her.

"Ready to fight back yet?" She asks with an amused look on her face.

"I'm not going to fight you." I state.

Her smirk disappears and she rolls her eyes. A shout comes from the other side of the door and her eyes widen. She quickly pushes me away from her and slips into the darkness of the room.

The door is melted down by Tony, allowing light and the team into the room. I look around for any sign of Ally but she's nowhere to be seen. There must be a trap door in this room somewhere.

"Steve!" Nat runs to me. "Oh my God, what happened?" She helps me stand and puts pressure on the hole in my side.

"I'm fine." I wince, trying to walk on my own.

"Let's go Capsicle. You're gonna need some stitches." Tony says, scooping me up in his arms.

"We can't leave!" I argue, loosing consciousness from the loss of blood.

"Don't worry, they'll take care of the rest." Tony says, his mask covering his face.

I make eye contact with Bucky and the last thing I see before blacking out is him nodding at me.
