3rd Person POV

It's been about a year since Bucky and Ally left for the west coast. After that morning in Nebraska, the two decided to stay put right outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.

They spend their mornings doing normal couple things and their nights as the vigilantes of Sin City. They've never come face to face with serious threats, but the city of Las Vegas has drastically changed for the better since they've showed up.

A few months into their time there, Bucky popped the big question--Ally said yes--and they got married (on paper) in town hall a few days later, neither of them wanted a big ceremony.

They've somewhat kept in touch with the others. Every now and then they call the compound from a public phone to say hello to everyone since neither of them have or want a cell phone.

Things are pretty much the same back at the compound. Tony and Pepper are engaged and expecting their first child, which he was more than thrilled to tell Alex about. She, of course, is happy for them and can't wait to meet her little sister.

Steve and Natasha finally got together after months of playing dumb and being naive. Sam often third wheels with them on dates and such since he has nobody else to bother now that Bucky's gone.

Finally growing tired of the crime-fighting life, Ally and Bucky decide to actually settle down. Who would've thought?

Bucky's POV

"Honey? Are you ready?" I call, already having our other bags packed into the jet. I told Steve that we were moving back to New York so he sent a jet to a nearby desert for us.

Ally runs down the stairs in her shorts and T-shirt with a special 'package' of sorts in her arms. "Let's go."

We step onto the jet and buckle in before starting our journey home.

Tony's POV

"They should be here any minute!" I yell up to the others.

I hear the engine getting louder as the jet lands on the roof's helipad. The rest of the team runs down to the living room to join me as we wait for Ally and Bucky to walk in. We decorated the entire building with 'welcome home' decorations.

I feel like a little kid as I stand beside Pepper, my excitement bubbling inside of me. I haven't seen her in over a year, how could I not be excited?

"Calm down." Pep laughs, placing a hand on my shoulder.

We hear footsteps on the stairs and I look up to see Bucky peeking down the stairs. A smile spreads across his face once he sees everyone. He holds his hand out to help Ally down the stairs and everyone's chatter halts as my eyes widen.

"Hi guys." Ally smiles, holding Bucky's hand as they walk over to us.

"We would've told you over the phone but we thought this was better." Bucky adds.

I step over to them, my entire body in shock as Ally holds the small child in her arms.

"Everyone, meet Joseph Anthony Barnes." Ally beams.

I hold my arms out and Ally hands him to me.

"But.. I thought.." Steve speaks up as he steps over to us.

"We adopted." Bucky smiles, wrapping an arm around Ally's waist.

The rest of the team and Pepper gather around to take turns holding the boy.

"How old is he?" Natasha asks.

"Almost one." Ally says, standing nearby. "We adopted him a few months ago."

"She wanted to name him after you, y'know." Bucky says as he sits beside me. "You and Fury. But she didn't want a Nick Jr. or Tony Jr. so we had to compromise."

We both chuckle and I can't help but smile at my little girl and grandson. "Maybe you're not too bad after all." I pat Bucky's hand and he smiles.

I feel a weird bump on his metal hand as I pat it and furrow my eyebrows as I look down to examine it. My eyes widen again and I look up at him.

"Oh, right." He swallows. "We got married too."

My jaw drops and I look over at Ally as she picks Joseph up. I see the sparkle from the ring on her finger and look back at Bucky.

"We didn't have a ceremony. It was just the paperwork at town hall." He tells me. "We didn't want anything big."

I look at him and nod. Ally joins the two of us and sits Joey on her lap. "I've never seen you two talk about something for this long." She teases. "It must be a good conversation."

"You married him?" I ask her as I gesture towards Bucky.

A smile grows on her face. "Yeah, I did." She glances at him for a second before looking back at me. "I love him."

A soft sigh escapes my lips and I gently wrap my arms around her and Joey. "I missed you, kiddo."

"I missed you too, Dad."
