~Valt's short story about his homesick~

Timeline: 6 months before Turbo

Sitting in the plane, Valt twirk his eyes out to the window where he can see the blue-clouded sky. He finally can go home, once again...

Flashback....

An another day has come. At BC Sol, everyone is training so intensively, clashing sound can be heard loudly thoughout everywhere in the place. But not everyone.

A leaf fall down from a tree, flying though a room. At there, a pot of Shibazakura flower is drifting softly in the wind. Valt, who's sitting near the window, hazelnut eyes look amorously at the pot, his heart clenching a little. It's been a while since the last day he came back to Japan, and he miss the place so much...

Suddenly, the door open. It caught the bluenette's attention. Free step in and look at Valt with his usual cold void eyes.

"Valt? Why haven't you train? I thought you would go to the training room" He ask, his back leaning at the door. Valt purse his lips a little.

"I...don't have a mood to train..." He respond with a sad voice. A breeze of wind blow into the room, blow up the water-blue hair gently. It also took away two petals on the flower and they flew away.

The blond is kinda surprise. He hasn't seen his friend/teammate like this. But when his cold eyes spot the pot of flower in the window, he quickly understand. He's homesick.

"How about you take a break and go back to Japan?"  The bluenette choke a little then look back at Free

"Huh? Oh, maybe next time. There's a lot of things I haven't don-"

"Kris ordered you to do that"

The blond just simply flip back the table with a convincing reason. Nah, he's saying the fact tho. The bluenette has been so stressed lately since the day he became a champion. And Kris, as his administrator is very worried about his mental health so she will give him a break without hesitation. And Free's here to announce him.

"...Really?"

"Yeah, homesick will sometimes make you can't concentrate. So, make sure to come back here with your best mood, alright?" A small smile appear on the Fafnir blader. Valt nod.

End of flashback....

"Announcement, the flight to Tokyo, Japan will be landing in 5 minutes. "

The pilot's announce make Valt wake up from his thoughts. Oh, it's time already? He quietly sigh, leaning his back to the seat. His mouth start to hum his favourite song.

And stay where I found hope....

Walking down from the plane, Valt secretly look around.

Great, no one will recognize him. He only want to have a normal holiday, he will get rid of the role as the world champion and become a normal blader today.

Now, the first thing he want to do is going back to his home. Of course, that's kinda obvious. After some certain procedures at the airport, Valt finally find a taxi and start his journey back to home.

"Oh, and are you Valt Aoi?"

The taxi driver ask. They've gone for 10 minutes and they are having some small conversation with each other.

"Yeah, it's me. I come back home today because I'm having a break" He answer honestly. The taxi driver is a nice and polite person, so he has no reason to lie to him.

The one in the front chuckle "So it's really you. My younger son always talk about how cool you are after that battle and he also want to become a good blader, just like you"

"Really? Oh wow, I didn't expect to be that popular..." Valt exclaim with a little blush. The older smile.

"Haha, but don't forget to take a rest, alright? You look kinda haggard, you know"

It make the bluenette flinch. Looking at the mirror, he really look like a person that hasn't slept for 2 days. That slaps him back to the reality. They start to talk about other things for 5 more minutes.

"Ah, we made it to your home. The Aoi Bakery!" The taxi driver announce to the bluenette. He quickly nod. "How does this drive cost?"

"I won't take money this time" He said sincerely with a smile. Valt shook his head. "What- No! You don't have to you know...."

"It's alright. But I'd like to have your signature for my younger son. He's fighting with cancer for his life...." He stop and sigh. Valt widen his eyes in surprise. He didn't expect that..

A smile appear on his lip. In a mere second, he give the taxi driver a signboard with his signature along with a sequence of number

"This is my signature, along with my number. And can I visit him this afternoon?"

The older was surprise, but he quickly nod. "Of course, I will take you there. Well, see you soon then!"

Valt look at the sight of the taxi until it disappeared. He sigh again.

"Mom, I'm home!"

Chiharu is baking some cakes until a familiar voice echo thoughout the house. She immediately recognize it. She go out to the hallway to see her oldest son with his usual grin.

"Oh, Valt!" She tug the bluenette into a hug, and he happily return it. "Finally, you're home. Gosh, you've grown taller than before, y'know"

"Hehe, thanks mom" He rub his back while laughing embarrassingly. "Where's Toko and Nika, mom?"

"They're going to school!"

"Oh...alright, ah! Mom, can I visit the school and go around until afternoon?" The bluenette ask his mother. Chiharu nod and pat her son's head "Of course, you're now big enough. But make sure to be safe!"

Valt quickly nod "Bye mom!"

In a second, he disappeared. Chiharu laugh. Ah, although her son is now 12, but seems like his personality doesn't change much. And she's glad about it. Yes, she has seen the moment the bluenette talk to the taxi driver, which is one of her familiar guests.

"My son, you've done well"

Valt is standing in front of the Beigoma Academy's entrace. Ah, it didn't change, that's good. He look at the time from a giant clock at the middle building.

7:35 a.m

He go inside the school. Every steps he goes, memories from the day he's still here flow into his mind like a train. It's only near two years, yet he already missed them....

His old team....

"Valt?"

That voice! It make him go out of his thoughts as he turn back to see a familiar person.

"Principle Shinoda!" He happily shout. The older widen his eyes. "It's really you! Well, what brings you here? You should be in Spain right now"

"Hehe, I'm having a break from my work" He respond with a shy expression. "Then come here and sit, young man"  Valt follow, go inside and sit on the comfortable couch, Shinoda quickly go along.

"Haha, it's an honor for me to welcome my old student, who's now the world champion back to school. How are you right now? You're good?" The principle is the one who start the conversation, his hand sipping the cup of tea he's holding.

"Aw, no need to be like that principle Shinoda, now I'm only want to become a normal person in my holiday break. And yes, I'm very fine" He answer while grinning.

"That's good to hear"

They talk like that for about 20 minutes then Shinoda remember that he has work to do so he allow Valt to visit the school for how long he want. The bluenette quickly bow down to thank him then go out.

The principle chuckle for his action then go to his table, picking up the phone to call someone. He knows where the bluenette will go.

In the classroom, a teacher is teaching then he hear the phone in his pocket ringing. "Hello? Oh, principle Shinoda. What do you want?"

Talking a little then he put his phone down. He clap his hands to get the students' attention. "Students, today we will have a special guest, wait here" He said then go out. Right in that moment, he meet his old student.

"Hello, Mr.Kadeki!" That person said, bowing down.

"Oh gosh, it's you! It's been a while, huh?" Kadeki respond with a grin. Then he tell the person to come inside as he nod.

"Alright, he's here! Now, meet my old student." He stay aside to make sure the person behind him can go. As he come in, everyone gasp in surprise.

"Hello everyone, I'm Valt Aoi! Nice to meet you all!"

"Finally, I'm up here..."

On the rooftop of the Academy, Valt is panting kinda tiredly because just now, he has to run away from the kids. Being a famous person is obviously annoying for somehow!

As he turn his eyes, he see the place. Where it all begins, the first gathering place of the Beigoma Academy Beyclub . Oh god, this brings back memories...

The place is just the same as two years ago, nothing changes. Expect the part that it's all dusty. Oh, maybe not many people want to go up here, they want to protect its legacy.

He sit down on the bench and look at the picture he took along with his old partners. Him, Rantaro, Shu, Ken, Daigo and Wakiya. Just 6 simple people, 6 different fates meeting and practising with each other up here after most afternoons.

Rantaro Kiyama is with him at BC Sol. But he's going to Brazil to meet up with his cousin there. He doesn't remember much about his name, maybe Ranzo Kiyama? Oh yeah, it really is.

Ken Midori, he's now having a trip around the world to perform puppet shows. But he said that he's still trying to practise and become stronger to battle the bluenette once again.

Daigo Kurogami and Wakiya Murasaki, they're still the captains of AS Gallus in France and Sunbat United in Australia. He hasn't contacted much with them since he knows well that they're not the type of liking to talk much.

And lastly, his best friend, Shu Kurenai. Oh yeah, after their last battle, their talk with each other becomes less and less that maybe it can be counted on fingers only.... Well, who could blame him? He's now the leader of Raging Bulls, one of the best teams in the world after all. The works will be too much for a 12 years old. He only hope that Shu will be alright, at least with the supervision from Trad.

Oh, he forgot that he has to go to the hospital this afternoon. And it's 12 now. Maybe he will have some lunch at the school's canteen then go. But first, he will meet the current Captain of the Beyclub, Fubuki Sumiye.

In the hospital, at room 213, there is a 10 years old boy with shaggy dark purple hair sitting on the bed, his hand is holding a signboard with star in the lime eyes.

"Wow, dad really gave me the signature of Valt Aoi! But he said this afternoon, a special person will visit me? I wonder, who will it be?"

God answered the boy's question when the door open, reveal a middle-aged man with the same hair colour as him and someone he couldn't see because they're behind the door, appearing like a shadow.

The boy beam up in happiness "Dad, you came!"

"Hello there, Akira. How are you feeling right now?" His father, Mr.Hatake go in and pat his son's head, which he happily accept it. He ask the small child

"I'm feeling better now, by the way dad, did you get Mrs.Chiharu's beybreads for me??"

"Of course, here you go." He said as he give Akira a bag filled with Valtryek beybread, his eyes shine in excited. "Wow, it's Valtryek! Thank you dad!" "You're welcome, my son"

Suddenly, Mr.Hatake notice something. Oh gosh, he forgot the person outside! "Ah, Akira. You know, someone will visit you now, right? Well, he's here. I'll let him in, alright?" The boy just nod.

He smile, going to the door and open it. "Alright, you can come in now!"

"Hello there! You must be Akira, right? Nice to meet you!" As Akira turn his head on, his eyes widen in surprise. That person, it can't be?!

"V...Valt Aoi?! It's really you?!" The bluenette see the kid so surprise just chuckle. He nod honestly. "Yes, it's me."

Akira couldn't hold his excited as he quickly hold Valt's hand "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I can see you so close like this! I'm your biggest fan, you're the coolest person ever! Blah blah blah..."

The boy start squealing like a fanboy while still rambling about the person in front of him which make Valt blush kinda madly. But a smile still appear on his lips

"Hey Akira. I heard that you're having lung cancer. Are you feeling alright?"

"O-oh, doctor said I'm currently only at the second phase, which means the chances to cure it are still very high if I follow the treatments!" The boy answer truthfully. He want to go outside the world once again and watch Valt's battles directly on the stadium, not thoughout the TV.

"That's good to hear. By the way, you have talent and a big passion in Beyblade, don't you?" Valt ask once again, but this question is kinda serious for somehow...

He nod determinedly. "Yes of course! I always watch everyone's battles though TV and then stare carefully at their information, movements, structures, strengths and weaknesses thoughout the battles!"
Akira express it all out with star in his eyes. He always like that when it comes to Beyblade.

Valt think about it a little. "Alright. Akira, do your have your own bey?"

"I have! Here, meet my partner, Radiance Aether!* I made it by myself along with the help of my dad's friend!" He exclaim while showing his bey.

A balance type, huh? Well, kinda fit with the one who is a tactical machine. The bey look really detail, which make him impressed.

"Wait, why do you tell me to show my bey? Is something wrong?" Akira's voice sound kinda worried.

Valt shook his head. "No, but I have a suggestion. Would you like to have a battle with me?"

The bluenette's word make the boy's jaw drop in shock. He's going to battle with his idol, the world champion?!?! Come on, someone please slap him hard to make him turn back to the reality!

"R..Re...Rea...Really?! Y...You want t...to battle with me..?!?" Akira was so shocked that he couldn't even form a single word.

Valt nod his head. "Of course, I don't mind. And then, after you cured your disease, I can become your teacher! Your passion in Beyblade really impressed me. So, do you agree with it?"

Akira feel like his eyes are ringing. But, he smile brightly. "If you had high expectations for me....I promise I will become stronger and won't let you down!"

"Then let's have a battle, shall we?"

"Okay!"

'5.45 p.m....' Valt thought as he walk on the riverside where used to be his 'Special training area'. The sunset dyes the road in a fiery orange, length the shadow of the person walking on it.

This is also the place where he and Shu had their promise to meet each other at the finals, yet couldn't made it until the International Blader's Cup. That was quite a long time for the bluenette...

Then here he goes, the Bey park, his most favourite place of all. Standing at the gateway, a brewing of nostalgia sweep across him while he observed a group of kids younger than him by 1-2 years old. It brings back memories....

Deciding to sit at the steps of the stadium in the middle of the park, he spot the sunset that is shining behind a building.

Everything was like it just happened yesterday. Time doesn't want to wait people.

A breeze of wind gently drift his hair though its way. Ah, the scent of home is always the best. No matter where you go, memories from your home will always be present everywhere through everything you see.

Suddenly, he hear a feminine voice singing a song that echoed though his ears.

In a place far away, there's a city
At its heart burns a blazing forge
Where the seas carry dreams of a young lost boy
Finally making his way home....

Valkyrie, who is invisibly appear behind his owner let out a laugh. Luckily he didn't recognize her voice. She look at the bluenette with her warm lime eyes.

"Welcome home, Valt"

*Radiance Aether:
Radience means dazzling or bright
Aether in English means air but in Chinese it means the sky, which is near to light.
=> Radiance Aether = The light that shines brightly

And I used the name Aether 'cause most of the bey's names in Beyblade are clearly based on those in mythologies (Some were changed in English, y'know why, right?) and Aether is in Greek mythology if u ask

Finally, I'm so done with this!

Fortunately, it ended... Sorry guys if I haven't post the spoilers of episode 15 I was kinda lazy and tired—
