(15) CONSPIRACY AT CLIFF

Our unexpected moves in any situation can be caused by either inspiration or insistence. Inspiration is a positive factor pacing freely in our will power while insistence is a pressurising factor pestering our woes at that particular situation.

The acceptance of Karenumati to Abhipsa's urging was an insistence of course. The name of that insistence was making Arjun away from Subhadra's life who Karenumati was considering the reason of painful departure of her sister.

Next morning Karenumati went to Abhipsa's father as per her promise.

"Greetings, king Adikesh. I have something to share," Karenumati joined her humbly.

"Go ahead, Princess!" Raising hand in an accepting manner Adikesh signalled.

"There's no rivalry in between me and princess Abhipsa. I won't have any objection if she gets marry in this family. Our bond is heading towards genuineness after yesterday's conversation. As a well wisher of princess Abhipsa I would like to request to reconsider your decision about her wish," She explained in short.

"The man whom you don't like to be in your sister's life you are suggesting me to marry off my daughter to him, Princess! Isn't it a kind of self interest?" He wasn't unaware of the obvious motive behind her request.

"No, Maharaj. I don't need princess Abhipsa in prince Arjun's life to keep him away from my sister. I am capable enough to succeed in this on my own. My request is all genuine, and my jiji didn't teach me about selfishness," She countered in a truthful voice.

"I accept your words, but isn't there any intention in your mind about keeping Arjun and Subhadra distanced through this marriage?" He shot one more question to confirm her intention.

"Yes, that intention was there. That intention insisted me to come to you, but that insistence had no role in my words to you. Princess Abhipsa loves prince Arjun truly as I feel, and through this proposal I wish no bad to anyone," This time she cleared each point earning a contented smile from him.

"Really you are a bold princess. I heard from Abhipsa that you didn't discuss anything about help in finding princess Subhadra from our side. Don't you want any help? His voice was softened at the end.

"I don't want any help certainly. I am sure I will find my sister sooner or later. I have trust on our bonding which will make us meet anyhow," She reciprocated the goodness of his voice.

"Abhipsa had been searching for princess Subhadra since the time she left Indraprastha. Don't worry. We will get her the soonest," He assured.

"Thank you for your kindness," She joined her hands again.

"May you always be happy, Putri!" He raised both of his hands to wish.

Conspiracy has its share in shaping a story no less than any other factors. Conspiracy was heading out of the palace of Kosambi being wrapped in disguise in the darkness of night.

A cliff was lightening its surrounding through the love of night sky, the stars. A man was standing there covering himself in black coloured shawl. In no time another figure reached there. That person was also covered in black coloured shawl.

"What's the news?" A female voice rang in air.

"Till now no success, Princess!" A male voice replied.

"Each time the same news! Why are you testing my patience?" The younger princess of Kosambi yelled at the person in front of her.

It was none other than Anurakta whose anger was making the spy tremble in fear.

"Sorry, Princess. We tried everything in finding princess Subhadra, but.....," The spy stopped noticing dangerous glare of Anurakta.

"Don't take her name in front of me till the time you don't give the news of her death to me," She ordered in a deadly voice.

"This search mission is proceeding under princess Abhipsa. She just ordered to find the princess, but due to your order few of my companions are searching the princess to accomplish your goal. If the head of spies comes to know about us then we will be punished," Fear gripped his voice with all its strength.

"Don't blabber nonsense. Just find Subhadra and finish her. Next time don't come with your all time useless news," She dismissed the spy.

Suddenly someone held Anurakta's wrist tightly. She gulped the lump of nervousness as she knew the person.

Tyranny got scared with a tender touch. It was a clear indication of the twist coming ahead.
