(26) POISONOUS ENCOUNTER
Breaking something for betterment is greater than standing in between boundaries holding limitations higher than anything. This part is going to witness the same thing when a needed interruption will appear amidst the chaos around active characters.
Pandu, Kunti and Karenumati reached at place where Subhadra was mediating. That place was a cave which couldn't be traced from far, but the sight outside the cave again acted as a barrier to prevent the meet of sisters.
"Abhipsa! You are here!" Karenumati exclaimed focusing her stare over the sword held by Abhipsa.
"Yes, she was here to kill Subhadra, but I stopped her in mean time. It was getting difficult for me to handle her madness. It's good that you all reached here," Anurakta's each word was tightening the grip of shock over the trios.
"No, it's not true. She's lying. I never had an intention like that. It was she who attempted to kill Subhadra," Abhipsa altered Anurakta's words.
"No use of lying anymore. You wished to marry bhrata Arjun. So, it must be you who attempted against my jiji's life. By the way how did you get into the kingdom?" Karenumati glared at Abhipsa with fierce eyes.
"By bribing the security guards of boarder. Even she didn't let the message of attack over Kosala reach to you people so that she can accomplish her mission amidst of this disturbance," Anurakta spoke in between dragging Abhipsa more into the circle of suspicion.
"No, no, it's not me. It's she again. She had done all these," Abhipsa screamed helplessly.
"Why would she do these things? What advantage is she going to get from all these?" Anurakta was smiling secretly noticing her sister's torment over Renu's questions.
"I don't know that, but I am saying the truth. Please trust me," A desperate Abhipsa urged.
"Bhrata Arjun will be hurt again when he comes to know about your misdeed," Renu's statement turned down the vibes of normalcy in Abhipsa's nerves.
"I haven't done anything to hurt anyone. I had only wished Arjun, but never had any evil thought about Subhadra. Truth isn't that which we see only through eyes, right?" Abhipsa's logic was seeming to cause no effect on the trios.
"Looks like no one is gonna believe me. It's better to die than facing the betrayed look of Arjun," Abhipsa poured the poisonous power into her mouth which she was carrying in the ring of her middle finger.
"Abhipsa, what kind of craziness is this? Please split out the poison," Renu ran to Abhipsa with a sharp cry.
"Abhipsa, my child, what happened to you? What have you done to yourself? Keep open your eyes, please!" Anwesha appeared into the scene out of blue.
"Accept my last regards, and convey the same to pitashri, Maa!" Leaning to her mother's embrace Abhipsa closed her eyes.
"Anu, you can't escape now. I have disclosed the years' long secret to your father," Anwesha screamed at Anurakta.
"What are you saying, Maharani? What's that years' long secret?" Pandu signalled Kunti to help Anwesha in holding Abhipsa.
"In childhood Anurakta had pushed Abhipsa's mother from cliff accidentally. Considering that as a naive mistake of Anurakta I didn't share this with anyone, but a murderer will always be a murderer," Shifting a fainted Abhipsa to Kunti's arm Anwesha slapped her daughter tightly.
"All these have done by this ungrateful girl. She had employed spies to find and harm Subhadra. Even she is the reason of unpreparedness of Kosala in the war going on now," Anurakta too raised hand at Anwesha being unable to take her words easily.
"Your raised hand is the prof of your crimes. Shame on you," Kunti turned away face from Anurakta in disgust.
"Soldiers, arrest her," At Karenumati's command two soldiers captured Anurakta's sides.
"Don't worry, you all. Maharaj will join the army of Kosala soon along with our army. Kosala will be victorious, surely," Anwesha consoled everyone in a guilt dripping voice.
"No need of continuing war anymore," A long awaited voice rang in air stopping the flow of air with everyone's soundless gasp.
