As a Corporalki, one would hope to be a healer. They weren't on the front lines in a dark, hopeless war. Instead, they'd tend to the wounded and helped regain their strength. Whereas Heartrenders could rupture lungs, burst beating hearts, and hamper the healing process of the injured. They were deadly, cruel, and merciless.

     But they were trapped in an endless war of darkness and shadow. For centuries, the Grisha and soldiers of the First Army have battled together against the horrors lurked inside the Fold. Each journey across the empty, bleak, black path, they'd lose one of their own amongst their ranks to vicious, winged monsters known as volcra. They needed a miracle in order to survive. And no Grisha or the First Army could vanquish the Fold from Ravka.

     Or so they thought. When the discovery of Alina Starkov's hidden powers of sunlight became known, many hoped it was time for the pain and suffering to cease by the help of the new savior. But they forgot that this was Ravka, hopeful wishes and prayers were never answered there.

are we really even surprised at this point? anyway, if you're new to joey's spontaneously new fanfic ideas, welcome and i hope you enjoy your stay! if you're not new, also welcome! if y'all have known me since i was fifteen, then y'all would know how much i love the grishaverse. granted, i do not share my admiration for it as much as other fandoms, but i truly adore the series very much! and of course, i decided to create a fic within this universe as one does when they hyperfixate on something. you know, the usual.
