"Oh Rich, can you c'mere for a second?" Jeremy had just finished one of his hundreds of royal duties when he called one of his two advisors into his room.

Rich walked in slowly, a little nervous as to what his prince wanted.

"Yeth your highnethth?" He asked and Jeremy readjusted his crown before speaking.

"Rich, I have a really big favor I need to ask of you."

"What ith it?"

"We're very low on money to keep rebuilding the castle...and I know you're good at finding treasure...do you think maybe you could go out and find some treasure to help raise that money?" Jeremy asked quietly and Rich's eyes lit up with excitement.

"O-Of courthe! I can do that! Jake can come too right?"

"Yes he can go."

"Yay! I won't let you down Printhe!" Rich ran out of the room and to his own room, quickly finding his treasure tracker uniform and putting it on.

The clothes consisted of a short sleeve, tan shirt, with matching pants, red boots, red gloves, a red bandana, and a brown belt, in which held a tiny pickaxe.

Rich then put his backpack on and ran to Jake's room.

"Jake! Get dreththed, we're goin treathure tracking!!" Jake turned to see his tiny boyfriend practically exploding with excitement, and smiled.

"What's the occasion?"

"There ithn't one! Printhe Jeremy athked me to go out and get thome richeth to fund rebuilding the cathtle!"

"Oh sweet!"

"Now hurry up and change, we gotta go!"

"Alright, just give me a minute." Jake quickly found his matching outfit to Rich and changed into it, tying the green necktie and readjusting his walnut hat. "Okay, now we can go."

"Yay!!"

The two were currently in the caves under the grasslands, which conveniently had been connected to the castle outskirts through a warp pipe, and had found plenty of coins for the prince to use.

"Oh Jake look at thith!" Rich held up what appeared to be a diamond and held it in his hands. "Thith hath to be worth a load of cointh!"

"Oh wow that's huge." Jake stared at the diamond with Rich, both of them completely awestruck by its beauty. "We should take it back to the castle with us!"

"Oh you freaking bet!" Rich sat it in his back and the two walked deeper into the cave before hearing a rather ominous noise. "Jake did you hear that?"

"Yeah. What was it?"

"I...don't know..." The noise got louder and the two turned to see a green, almost snake like figure staring at them. "Jake."

"Yeah?"

"I think I jutht peed."

The thing screeched and Jake grabbed Rich and began running away from the creature. Rich was screaming in absolute horror as Jake ran towards a red pipe and jumped in, not knowing what was on the other side.

The two plopped out of the pipe in an area close to the lavalands...oh boy.

"Rich we should go back."

"No we'll die! I don't wanna be that thing'th dinner!" Rich protested and Jake sighed, standing up and finding that the diamond had fallen out of Rich's bag.

He picked it up and handed it back to Rich, who placed it back into his bag gently before standing up himself and looking around.

"There ith probably thome expenthive mineralth here we could get for the Printhe. Lava bathed anything ith very hard to find tho it doeth cotht a lot."

"Yeah makes sense." Rich pulled out a book he'd packed and looked through it, finding a page on lava based minerals and looking around.

He found something and began jumping across rock bridge above the lava, which Jake watched in absolute fear, and he stopped at the end, pulling his pickaxe out and mining at the rocky land.

He stopped when he seen orange-red rocks and began mining them out.

"Rich, babe, dude, what are you doing?" Jake asked and Rich turned around, holding the minerals out.

"I found thomething rare! I'm keeping thith!"

"Rich..." Jake froze and Rich put the minerals in his bag.

"Yeth?"

"Behind you..." Rich turned around and froze at the lava like dragon staring down at him.

It sucked in air and quickly began spitting fire balls at Rich.

"Rich run now!!" Jake yelled and Rich began running across the rocks, feeling fire hit his arm. "Rich!!"

He scrambled to get back on his feet and made his way on to tje next rock.

The dragon flew outta the lava and its levels sunk, which off set the rocks.

"Rich you gotta jump! I'll catch you!" Jake yelled, holding his arms out for the shorter male.

"I won't make it! I got too much thtuff!"

"Throw the diamond out!" Jake was staring wearily at the dragon and Rich pulled diamond out and stared at it.

"I can't...The Printhe needth thith. I have to get it back. Jake, catch the diamond!" Rich threw the diamond and Jake caught it, sitting it in his bag before looking back at Rich.

The dragon shot more fire and it his the rock Rich was standing on. He felt it wobble and fell to his legs.

"Rich you've gotta jump! Hurry!" Rich tried standing but got hit in the arm again, the fire absolutely eating up his skin. "Rich please!!" He could see Jake was tearing up and he forced his body through the pain and stood up, taking a step back and running forward, jumping off the rock and tumbling into Jake's arms.

The dragon huffed and flew back into the lava, and Jake felt Rich shaking.

"Rich...you okay?" Jake asked and Rich shook his head sadly, tears spilling out of his eyes. Jake wiped them away and stared into those eyes and froze.

Rich's right eye was  pale compared to his left eye and Jake knew he'd lost half his vision. Rich began sobbing into Jake's chest and the taller male held him close, removing his hat and stroking his blond hair calmly.

When Rich stopped crying, Jake picked him up and went back to the red pipe and went in, glad to come back out and not see the green thing.

He carried Rich back to the green pipe that led to the castle outskirts, and went back into the castle, and Jeremy seen Rich's condition and was quickly concerned.

"Jake what h-happened to him?" Jeremy asked and Jake sighed as he looked down at his now sleeping boyfriend.

"We got chased into the lavaland and this dragon thing burned Rich...he wasn't gonna give up on getting his treasure for you...which is why he put himself in harm's way..."

"O-Okay, we better get him to intensive care so he can be properly taken care of." Jeremy led Jake to the medical wing, where Rich was laid on a hospital bed softly, Jake taking his bag. "He should be fine... he'll wake up in a few days..."

"Okay..." Jake sniffled out and Jeremy looked at him sadly.

"What did you find?" He asked and Jake pulled the diamond put of his bag and handed it to Jeremy.

"He also got some type of lava minerals, and we found tons of coins." He handed Rich's bag to Jeremy, who looked through it in awe.

"He found all this?"

"Mmhm."

"I'm proud of you two. I know who I'll be asking to go with Michael to rescue me next time."
