Cleanliness - Togamura - Pt 1

Shigaraki grinned like a child, reading the back of the Breath of the Wild box he was holding over and over again. He always did when he got a new game, but this one was special, as it was his birthday today! Well, what he said his birthday was. He didn't know his birthday, so he wrote a date down and called it a day. He immediately started bugging Kurogiri about it the moment he woke up, just like a kid would, because this was the day that he could splurge on whatever he wanted at the local mall. He got the new switch and three games to go with it, but with all the hype online, he was most excited for Zelda.

When he pushed the door open, he immediately realized Dabi, Toga, and Jin staring at him with big smiles on there faces. If that didn't make him apprehensive, nothing would.
Toga got up from her chair and pranxed over, "What game didjya get?! Breath of the Wild?? Oooou, I wanna play with you! Is it multiplayer?"
She looked over Tomura's shoulder, who immediately held the game out of her reach and tried to push her away. Toga wasn't scared or even cautious, he was wearing his gloves and would have to make an effort to destroy his gloves before he could even think of clipping her shoudler.. Again.
Toga stopped, though, when she felt a presence on her shoulder. It was Kurogiri's hand, silently telling her to lay off. She did, but that didn't stop it, the game being taken easily by Dabi. "Give that back-"
"Hah, no. Come get it." he held it up in the air, since Tomura was indeed shorter. Kurogiri, again, came to the rescue, creating a portal and giving the game back.
Shigaraki put it back in the bag that held the console and the other games were in, then spedwalked to his room. He just wanted to play in peace, this was one of the only times he could actually stand being alone; a new game.
"Heyyy, wait up. We got you a birthday present too, you know!" Jin said from behind him, and Tomura turned and tried to glare. He wasn't intimidated in the slightest. "I know you'll really like it."
Toga was suddenly next to Shigaraki, bouncing up and down, red on her cheeks. "Yeah, yeah! You'll love it and then you'll love us since we're so nice!"
Shigaraki almost shoved her again, but Dabi lent on his head. "Y'know, that smile might've been cute if the rest of you wasn't so... Not."
"Hey, it was adorable." Toga retorted, and Tomura ducked out of Dabi's arms, almost causing him to fall.

He took the doorknob in his hand and was honestly a little bit scared. Had they done something to his games? To his computer? If they had he swore he'd pound all three of their heads in-
"WHAT." Tomura whipped around at the three snickering villians after opening his door and seeing the sight. "DID YOU GUYS DO." he turned back, "TO MY ROOM!?"
Toga wiggled in infront of him, throwing her arms out. "Tadaaaa!!" Jin was supposed to aswell but he was too busy play fighting with Dabi. Well, play fighting wasn't the best word. It was more insult each other with only half intent of hurting the other. Like how children went back and fouurth with dumb name calling.

Shigaraki stepped in. He almost didn't recognize it. "We cleaned it for you! You seem really inconvenienced every day since it's so dirty, so we got together and tidied it up for you!" She smiled wide, "Do you like it!? Tell me you do!"
Something clicked in Tomura's head, ans he shoved Toga to the side, rushing to the closet and dropping to his knees, "Where did you-"
"They're in there, don't worry." Jin laughed a little, then rolled his eyes. "Toga wanted to make them all beds."
"It would've been adorable." Toga hissed back at him.
He counted, and they hadn't taken or done anything to any of them. But the metal he used to keep them from decomposing had.. They'd shined them and gotten all the dust off.
"Did you guys paint Yowai's nails!?" he looked up in surprise. He remembered when he was little, that girl always had her nails painted. She did it herself but it looked professional. "Sincerely me!" Toga chirped, bouncing still. Jin hit her gently, "Hey, I helped! I picked out the colors and found the sparkle finish you said you'd been looking for!"
"I picked the design, I'm the only one out of you bozos that actually can imagine things, I-"
"Get out." Shigaraki hissed, taking all three off guard.
Toga tilted her head a little. "Why? We did some other stuff across the room, I even drew you a picture!" She started bouncing again, a big smile on her face.
Why were they being so nice? This wasn't like any of them. Well, it was half like Jin.
"We all organized your games. You have more than I thought, you never told me you had the CoD games." Dabi said, crossing his arms.
There's gotta be some kind of catch to this, right? There's no reason! It's his day to get games, it's not for them to be nice! There's no reason!
"I was gonna make some adjustments to your gloves and make em look cooler." Jin laugh with a small laugh, then turned bitter. "But you took them with you so I couldn't."
"I said get out." Shigaraki shouted, looking down and staying on his knees. He felt wetness close to his eyes and figured that's what they were doing. There was this feeling in his chest and he didn't know what it was and he hated new things. That was the catch.
He hadn't gotten this amount of love from so many people since before he got his quirk and he didn't remember almost anything from that! Of course, he didn't know this, but the lack of affection was catching up to him now that he was getting it and it was coming out in the form of happy tears. That scared him and what scared Tomura made him angry, and that made him lash out.
Toga thought for a moment, then realized what happened. Out of all of them, she personally thought she genuinely cared about Shigaraki the most. She gave the others a look, then skipped out with a small wave. She was happy to see the two follow her. "Maybe we should leave him alone for a little bit.. I think he's getting emotional."
"Didn't know he was capable."
"Shut up, Dabi."

On her way back to the main room, Toga tried to think of why something as simple as a few birthday presents was getting Tomura like this, because he didn't cry. She knew he didn't, Kurogiri had made that clear a whole back. He hadn't even gotten teary eyed when he was shot four times, and was laughing, laughing, when his arm was getting sawed off. Then he proceeded to move that arm while the knife was still there, halfway through his shoulder!
Why did he have such a big pain tolerance? She had wondered before if not having tears or something similar was one of his parent's quirks. Like that Icyhot kid. He had a combination of his parents' quirks.
Then she remembered something.

Toga picked up the off-white lavender colored blanket. She looked back to Dabi, who was looking through and sorting Tomura's games by console and then alphabet, then to Jin, who was assorting books and action figures on the shelves. Toga was currently making his bed and she'd found a blanket that was way too small to fit as a sheet.
The thought of big bad Shigaraki Tomura, one of the most dangerous villians out there, sleeping with a blanket made her giggle aloud, unable to stifle it. The other two men in the room didn't really care, since it was Toga. She did that a lot.
But then she though about it more. Why was Tomura sleeping with a blanket? That was something little kids did, it wasn't just stereotypical, it was phycological. Why was someone, who would have grown out of it by now, doing that? Yes, Shigaraki was childish, but that's not a reason to..
Then it all clicked.
Tomura Shigaraki acted like a child because he never had a childhood. He hadn't grown out of it because he hadn't gotten a chance to get into it in the first place.
Toga found herself feeling bad for Shigaraki. He acted so much like a child because he never had a childhood where that could have happened. He never had the chance. Sure, he had three or four years, but is that enough? Is four years enough to be a child?
She knew All For One had taken care of him and he was, like, a really big villian! He wouldn't have given Tomura a very good upbringing, why would he?

This poor man.
"I'm gonna... Go. You guys stay here!" Toga went and ran to her own room, retrieving the blanket. She'd put it on her own bed, intending to ask Kurogiri about it, but had forgotten about it until now. She thought for a moment and decided it was better not to make him wait. She walked back over, trying to be silent, and made her way to Shigaraki's room. Toga walked to the closet, opened it, then blinked a little.

Tomura kept all of his hands in a big box. It wasn't a flimsy, cardboard box, it was a wooden and big chest and he himself could fit inside it.
It's where he had kept his hands ever since he was little and had gotten them back. It was big enough for him and a teen to crawl into when he was little, and he could fit in it now.

He had crawled inside. It was like a safe space, nothing could touch him in that box.
Toga walked over and gently knocked, bending down and holding the blanket out. She dropped it onto Tomura, then pat his shoulder gently.
Shigaraki thought she was Kurogiri, mumbling "I hate all of them."
Toga was going to not say anything, but upon realizing Tomura thought she was someone else, she couldn't really hold herself back. "Yeah, they're both dummy-heads. I'm not, though, right?"
