Taehyung stood behind Laylin in the apartment hallway, staying quiet as he mentally tried to rehearse everything that Jungkook had told him about being this new version of himself. Ever since Taehyung woke up in the hospital three days prior after coming out of some sort of coma, the reality of having switched bodies with someone else fully began to sink in. Jungkook tried to coach him every second they were alone about what his life was like while Taehyung tried to do the same in return. Taehyung knew that he would have to pretend to be each other until they could figure out what was going on. Taehyung had acted before in a drama here or there so he thought he would be alright with playing a roll for a bit, but nothing really prepared him for this. He could already feel the anxiety building up inside him.
"You're finally home," said Laylin as she opened the door. "Excuse the mess."
'What kind of response would Jungkook give to that?' thought Taehyung as he entered the apartment behind Laylin, looking about him.
"When's it not a mess?" he asked with a half smirk, causing Laylin to scoff and turn to look at him.
"I'll let you off easy since you just got home," said Laylin, "But beware that niceness only lasts so long."
"Yes your highness," said Taehyung as Laylin chuckled and shut the door behind him.
'She doesn't seem to think that anything is off,' thought Taehyung as he watched Laylin walk into the kitchen, opening the fridge to peer inside. 'This is a good sign.'
"I'm gonna go settle in. Maybe crash on my bed."
"That's fine," said Laylin. "I'll cook us something for dinner in a while once I take stock of what is in the fridge."
Taehyung nodded, moving through the apartment to where the two bedrooms were. From first glance, he could clearly tell which was Laylin's and which was Jungkook's. He moved into Jungkook's bedroom, shutting the door behind him before moving towards a window to open the curtain. Immediately a thin strip of dust was displayed, twirling and dancing through the air as he took in the disarrayed room he now stood in.
"What is this mess..." tsked Taehyung as he moved to step around piles of clothes on the floor towards the unmade bed; the navy sheets twisted and tossed every which way.
He sat down on the edge of the bed, slipping a hand into his pocket for his phone. Technically it wasn't his phone though. It was Jungkook's. As the lockscreen popped up, he noticed it was a picture of Laylin and Jungkook side by side; their faces displaying wide smiles. It was obvious to Taehyung that Jungkook cared about Laylin. From the picture on his lockscreen to how Jungkook was specific about teaching him how to treat Laylin and about their relationship.
Taehyung typed in the security code that Jungkook had given to him, immediately noticing a missed message. Jungkook had messaged him. He clicked the message immediately.
Taehyung
Still can't sing. Jimin is about to lose it.
Taehyung sighed as he looked at the message, texting back quickly that he was coming before standing up off the bed and moving back out into the other room where Laylin was still puttering around in the kitchen. He and Jungkook had made a pact that they would help each other through all of this, and apparently that pact started now.
"I have to go out for a bit."
"Out? But you just got out of the hospital."
"Yeah, I know, but I...I want some fresh air. I'll be back before dinner."
Laylin paused as she looked over at Taehyung, but reluctantly nodded her head.
"Call me though if you start feeling ill, and stay out of any accidents."
He smiled softly, nodding his head as he escaped out of the apartment and went back outside. It took him a moment to get his bearings once he was standing outside, but he soon figured out which direction his house was in and started walking.

Jimin had both hands rooted in his hair as he sat on the other side of the glass, looking down at the music controls. Hobi sat beside Jimin, looking over at how frustrated he was. He understood that Jimin got high strung under pressure, and knew that he would exhibit water pitcher throwing behavior soon if not given instances to cool off. That was why Hobi had insisted they all take a ten minute break to reset.
Jungkook stood inside the recording booth feeling useless like he had for the last several days when forced to do any sort of recording. He looked at the cell phone that was lying beside the lyric sheet on the music stand, relieved when he saw Taehyung's message that he was on his way. He felt badly that he had just gotten discharged from the hospital, but they promised each other that they would help each other through this. Besides, Jungkook had to admit that he wasn't keen on the idea of Laylin living with her idol. He could feel himself getting jealous even though he was the one with the idol's body.
It was messed up. This whole thing was messed up.

Taehyung stood outside the gate to his house. He knew the security codes by heart, so it would be easy for him to punch the numbers right in and enter. However, he knew that it would arouse suspicion, especially with the body that he was now in. He resorted to using the buzzer, trying to wait patiently on the sidewalk for someone to answer.
Soon enough he heard a incessant buzzing noise that indicated someone had given him access from the inside. He walked through the gate and let it shut behind him. As he walked up to the front door, he saw it open and saw Jungkook standing there in his body looking pale; wringing his hands together.
"Hey," said Taehyung as he entered the house; Jungkook shutting the door behind him. It was odd for him to feel like a stranger in his own home.
"Hey," said Jungkook. "Thanks for coming right off."
Taehyung just nodded as he took in his home for a moment before moving to follow Jungkook back up the stairs to the recording studio. As soon as they entered, Hobi's brows arched as he pointed at Taehyung.
"Who is he?"
Jungkook turned to look at Taehyung, looking freaked for a moment so Taehyung jumped in to save the day.
"I'm his accident buddy consultant," said Taehyung. "His ABC if you will. We were in the same accident, and became friends rather quickly. I offered to come over and help him out with some of his sessions. He invited me over."
Jimin lifted his head then to look over at Taehyung. Taehyung could clearly see how frazzled and stressed Jimin was, and felt bad for him. He knew that Jimin took it the hardest whenever the label applied the pressure even though they were a team.
"Do you have any experience?" asked Jimin as Taehyung shrugged.
"I have ears. I know what sounds good," said Taehyung in response as Hobi chuckled from behind Jimin.
Taehyung turned to Jungkook, patting him on the shoulder to try to reassure him.
"Can I come in the booth with you?"
Jungkook nodded, slipping back inside the booth with Taehyung on his heels.
"Accident Buddy Consultant..." muttered Jimin under his breath. "What kind of made up hogwash is that?"
"Hey, if it helps get Taehyung on the right track, it'll be good. Besides maybe this new guy - whoever he is - can help us meet the deadline," said Hobi, trying to get Jimin to see the bright side.
"I hope you're right..." muttered Jimin as he looked at the two of them on the other side of the glass.
With the mics off in the recording booth, Taehyung and Jungkook had a moment of privacy. Jungkook stood behind the music stand as Taehyung stood behind him.
"So what's your advice for me?" asked Jungkook.
"Just focus," Taehyung said. "Focus on the singing. Don't focus on Jimin or Hobi. Focus on the message and just go with it."
"Focus huh?" said Jungkook as he moved to put on the headphones. "Is that the big secret?"
Taehyung felt his gut twisting up again; the tell tale signs of an anxiety attack that he was trying to keep at bay regarding this whole situation. Focus was the only way he had ever been able to keep the anxiety away. It was always the only way he could cope with things.
"You also need to have confidence in yourself. You've got this. I believe in you," said Taehyung as he stood off the side, cuing Jimin to start the music.
"Oh now I'm taking cues from him too? Who does he think he is?" Jimin continued to mutter as he turned the music on anyway after seeing the signal from the other side of the glass.
As the music flowed through the headphones, Jungkook tried to focus on what Taehyung had told him. One of his hands gripped the music stand while the other slid down his leg as he felt the nerves kick in. Jungkook soon felt a tug on his hoodie from behind. Swiveling slightly he saw that the tug was from Taehyung; his fingers gently twisted in the hoodie from behind to keep Jungkook grounded. Jungkook immediately felt a sense of calm wash over him. He wasn't alone. Jungkook let his eyes wander back to the lyric sheet as he started to try to sing.
