Chapter 13: Surprise 11-23-16
"He's rousing," a deep voice said.
"Finally!" said another deep-ish voice nearby. That one sounded like an Orc.
Aragorn was laying face down on the ground waking up slowly from the darts. He moved his head slightly and opened his eyes even slower. He blinked a couple times unsure of what he was seeing.
Looking in front of him he saw Boromir also on the ground. There was an orc holding him down. Boromir stared back at Aragorn looking very frightened and uncomfortable. He had fresh blood dripping down from his nose and one of his eyes was in the process of turning black.
"Boromir?" Aragorn whispered tiredly.
Boromir shook his head ever so slightly and didn't say anything. Pure terror was written all over his face. Aragorn's eyes moved from Boromir and onto the Orc holding him down.
"Get up!" one of the Orcs in the room said and kicked Aragorn in the side hard.
Aragorn rolled over to his side and was about to get up, when he jumped and stumbled back at what he saw. His eyes bulged and his mouth hung open as he stared up at the figure above him. He wasn't looking at any Orc of Troll or Goblin. No, he was looking at his main enemy that wanted him dead. That had hunted him all his life. Aragorn was looking straight at Sauron.
He had no idea how to react or what to say to this horrid beast. Another Orc kicked him again. This time from the back. Aragorn scrambled to his feet and looked up in silence at Sauron. He was at least a whole three feet taller than him. Aragorn and Boromir looked so small compared to him. Aragorn never imagined that this day would come.
"Long have I waited for this day," Sauron bellowed loudly.
"Long have you hunted me and long have I eluded you," Aragorn stammered trying to find his courage.
"Eluded, yes. Eighty- seven years," Sauron said a little upset, "No more,"
For the first time since Boromir had met Aragorn, he could tell Aragorn was utterly scared, and so was he. Boromir also realized that Aragorn's sword was gone. He could do nothing against Sauron.
"I have two wishes," Sauron said abruptly, "Do you know what they are?" the question was appointed to Aragorn, but he did not reply. He knew the evil Lords two wishes all too well, but he didn't want to say them out loud now, or ever.
Sauron knew he wouldn't answer, so he turned to Boromir and said,
"I'm sure you don't know what my wishes are, do you?" Sauron turned back to Aragorn and said, "He knows nothing which means he is useless. He has failed to answer our questions,"
Aragorn and Sauron looked to Boromir. Boromir looked to Aragorn.
"Kill him," Sauron ordered.
"No! Please!" Aragorn shouted to Sauron and took a brave step forward.
Some Orcs made Boromir stand and they held a knife to his throat.
"Please, I will answer your questions!" Aragorn pleaded, "I don't want anybody to get hurt,"
Sauron turned to Aragorn sharply making Aragorn step back again. He motioned for the Orcs to hold off on the killing. They looked disappointed, but held down from killing the man.
"Where is the Ring bearer?" Sauron asked Aragorn.
Aragorn really did not know the answer to this question and that was the truth.
"The bearer and the rest of his companions got split up a long time ago," Aragorn finally said picking his words wisely, "I honestly can say that I don't know,"
Sauron reached out and grabbed Aragorn's left shoulder. It was the shoulder Denathor had stabbed about a week ago; which sent a tingle of pain through his body. Sauron tightened his grip on him.
"I would like nothing more than to kill you right now," Sauron said. Aragorn felt like his shoulder bone was going to break, "But I think I can use you,"
Sauron pushed Aragorn back and he grunted as he fell backwards. His hand went up to his sore shoulder.
"Do you know what I want to do with you?" Sauron asked deviously.
Aragorn kept silent which probably wasn't the best idea with Sauron losing his temper already.
"Mouth!" Sauron suddenly screamed.
It was so sudden and loud that it made Aragorn and Boromir jump. From one of the doors to the right side of the room came another creature. It was the Mouth of Sauron. Aragorn stood up again.
"I'm not going anywhere," he said confidently.
"I have had about enough of you!" Sauron yelled.
Without any warning, Sauron took out his club and with all his power clobbered Aragorn with it straight in the chest and skidded it up to his face. The power of Sauron made a bright light reflect through the room. Aragorn went flying across the whole room and smashed into the farthest wall hard. He tumbled down the wall unconscious and landed on the ground on his side.
"NOOOOOOO!" Boromir shouted and tried to fight the Orcs holding him back, "YOU MONSTER!!!!" tears formed in his eyes as he kicked his legs frantically, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU JUST DID?!"
"Silence you!" Sauron shouted at Boromir, "Bring him to the dungeon before I kill him!" Sauron commanded the Orcs.
The Orcs pulled Boromir away towards the Dungeon's.
"Go join your friends down there!" Sauron said angrily.
"Friends?" Boromir asked suddenly even more scared.
Boromir was pulled away too fast before Sauron could answer. Sauron turned to the Mouth who was standing beside him smiling. He whispered commands to his puppet in his ear. The Mouth smiled and walked over to Aragorn's limp body. The Mouth tied Aragorn's hands together tightly with some rough rope and then lifted him onto his shoulder.
"Go meet the Eye, my friend," Sauron said, "Let him destroy you," then he turned on his heels and walked the opposite way.
