The opening begins with a record of Arale's announcement to Yasojo being replayed on an old screen.

The image gets broken here and there by Seiran's fingers strumming her bass' strings, Mashiro and Shiori doing the same with their guitars, Amane's fingers gliding down her keyboard, and then eventually breaks into a scene of the yet to be named girls band playing in the Sawada's atelier once Mana's sticks hit her drums.

The camera moves around them as their location changes from the atelier to the front of Yasojo's school building, the five now wearing their school uniforms, then to the stage of Live House Magnolia, where the five wear their everyday casual clothes, and then to the middle of an abandoned theme park, where in addition to their casual attires, the five now bear their Desire Specs.

The camera moves up past them, catching the theme park's old ferris wheel in the shot, as the story's title burns into the scene from cerulean flames.

Te ni totte tsume o tateta sono mirai wa

Back to the atelier, Seiran is holding one of Mana's drums as the drummer finishes attaching it to the rest of the drum.

Amane walks into the scene carrying a tray with drinks for the three of them, but catches Ryou's silhouette walking past the atelier. She bites her lower lip and looks away.

Nijimu iro ni kasunde mieta

Moving over to the sole park in the entirety of Abani, Mashiro is sitting on a bench near the park's pitiful lake with her arms stretched along the bench's back. She rolls her neck and leams forward, snatching a small stone by her feet that she throws at the lake. While the intention was for the stone to skip across the water, it sunk immediately.

Natsu no iro mo nuritsubusu yōna aka ni

Beneath a tree in the same park, Shiori and Nerona sit side by side, shoulders touching and sharing earphones. Both have their eyes closer, and for once, the thespian lesbian isn't oozing her unending Shakesperean aura. In fact, she looks peaceful for once.

Hoeru is also there, off to the distance, chasing a butterfly while the ducks that call the park's lake their home chase after her.

In a different part of the park, Misaki and her younget sister Eve are out walking their golden retriever. They walk past someone with white hair and Misaki looks back, mistaking them for Touko.

Bokura no koe kakikesa rete iku yō de

Over at Setsugami, Ryou leaves the school with his friend group, made up of Suga, Aoba, Sachika, Arale, Yuto and Kuon, walking a few steps behind him in his own world. Yukina left the school at the same time as then but went in a different direction.

He looks ahead at them, but the image of what he sees blurs together, all colours mixing and turning into blots of ink in his view, four in total. Skull masks appear in each as they move closer, azure flames igniting in their vacants eye sockets, and arms wielding scythes stretch out from their body.

The focus returns to Ryou, who, as the four blades approach his neck and the shadow of a nostalgia bait strider dragon rises behind him to also attack, simply smiles.

The image gets overtaken by the dark than black shadow, but a single blue line is drawn across it, as if they were being slashed.

Tachidomaru sono ashi o fumidasou ze

Cerulean flames ignite from said line, purging away the shadows to reveal Basvsargra wielding her new sword as shield.

She raises her shield, blocking an attack Roztnir, and swings her sword, parrying an attack from Helgvarr and reflecting one from Garzorums.

Veissrugr flies in from behind her in his saucer form, unfolding into his real form, and going in for a well deserved punch against that tier 0 menace.

Misekake no uso yarisugosu yori

Alden, Magnolia Patriarch and Odium swoop in to block Veissrugr, but Stately Crozard, Serius and Lascaria leap over the cool mech to handle them.

Crozard goes in first and smacks Alden away with a freezing cold justice punch, then is followed by Lascaria, who blocks Odium's clock blades with her sword.

Magnolia, being bigger than those four, tries to lunge at them with his fangs, but Serius holds him back with rapier. Despite struggling to hold him back, she stalls long enough from Coreanis to swoop in from behind and thrust her spear at his back.

Dinabarada runs along the burning battlefield and leaps to join the fight, but his pulled down by vines created by Chure Lina, and sadly for him (and Yuto), Glanzel Rotovisor is there to punch them into the stratosphere.

With that taken care off, Rotovisor takes off towards the clashing Zorga Nadir amd Blangdmire, transforming into Sabazios Rotovisor via Quasar Link.

The clash between Rotovisor's fist, Blangdmire's scythe and Zorga's trident turns the screen white. Artisaria appears, eyes closed and covered by Liael's hands.

The flames of the battlefield return and Artisaria disappears, taking us to the sight of Heartluru waxing poetically on top of Wirbel's head... And Greedon doing the same on top of Gravidia's.

Nan-dome no asa chikai to hikikaeyou

Returning to Veissrugr vs Bavsargra, their users finally come face to face. Ryou's the same ever, simply smiling with nothing to show, but Seiran's not about that.

Veissrugr flies behind her as she reaches up, the Shooting Stardust Road stretching up from behind her and her golden circuits running along it.

The camera moves to follow the circuits as everyone else's circuits join Seiran's, but Ryou's cerulean circuits quick surpass them and run alongside Seiran's, all following the Shootig Stardust Road towards Cray.

However, as they approach it, a singular black circuit runs past all the other circuits, breaking the Road, the circuits, and even the scene itself into shards of stained glass. Surrounded by the falling shards, a grin stretches along a certain elf lady knight's lips.

Bokura ga mite ita yume

The opening returns to the atelier, to the five girls playing their instruments, the camera spinning around them.

For a brief moment, the location is changed to a live house's practice room, where instead of Mashiro, Shiori and Amane being the ones playing with Seiran and Mana, it's Futaba, Tae and Taro.

Sirius' scene doesn't last long, as the camera keeps on spinning, returning us to the atelier and to the current band. The spinning stops, but the camera moves past the girls and towards the window, the scene turning white from the sun's brightness.

The opening concludes with a shot of Abani's train station. A seagull is chilling on top of the station's only bench and looks out at the incoming train, but doesn't fly away.

The train doesn't stop either, moving past the station and blocking the camera from seeing the seagull for a moment.

But once the train is gone, another seagull is on the bench chilling with the first onem this seagull is also much bigger, much more mascot looking, and carrying a suitcase full of DJ equipment.
