The design and character of Spirit and the lykars in general was actually inspired by my dog Szenja!!

This is her!! She was a husky and absolutely LOVED the water (especially the sea) so I designed Spirit after Szenja and that's what created the world of lykars!!
Sadly though, Szenja died in January 2018 before I started writing chapter 3, but her memory still lives on through Spirit❤️
