The two Cullens arrived back in the small rainy town of Forks, Washington. They kept their distance but stayed outside of the Swan house waiting for Bella to come home from school so that they could enact their plan.

But as time passed and they didn't see Bella's truck which was currently in the garage and out of sight, to pull into the driveway, Edward furrowed his brow, looking at Alice, who's face mirrored his. "maybe she's just staying later for some reason?"

"Yeah that's probably it." But they waited and waited and Charlie came home and there was still no sign of Bella. "where is she? because she's not in the house we would have noticed."

"I don't know." Alice said and then tried to focus but she wasn't seeing anything else about Bella. "I'm not getting anything else on her right now."

"She wouldn't have just left Forks, you would have seen the decision." Alice had been watching her decisions since the Cullen's left Forks. But leaving hadn't initially been Bella's decision which was why Alice hadn't seen it happen.

"I don't know Edward but she's obviously not here so what do we do now?"

"Maybe we should hang around for a few days and see if we can't find out where she is, we need to make sure that vision doesn't happen."

Alice nodded, "okay then that's what we'll do."

Bella was sitting with her legs across Rai's lap leaning back against a tree they were still up by the Falls, "so why were you so drawn to me when we met in Phoenix?" it had been a few minutes since he had explained everything to her and that was the one thing that she kept wondering about.

Rai looked at her, with a smile, "because Isa, you and me we're soulmates which is why I knew you were his mate when you were explaining things and I thought I was protecting you buly keeping you in the dark about all of it, by staying away from you, it was the hardest thing I've ever done and it was brutal on me to be away from you, but if it kept you safe, I didn't care about my own well-being." he scoffed lightly not at her more at himself though, "But if I had just told you everything from the start, then none of that cold one crap would have happened to you."

Isa looked at him for a moment, she was surprised a little bit but mostly it started to make sense to her why everything had always felt so wrong with Edward but with Rai it came so easily. " I want to say I'm surprised, but after everything that I found out, it makes sense, All of it just makes sense."

He brush her hair back a little, "God Isa, I'm sorry. I should have just told you everything."

She leaned into the touch, "you don't need to apologize Rai, You did what you thought was the right thing, and there's nothing wrong with that, even if it turned out to not be the right thing in the end."

" I know, but still I can't help but feel a little responsible for all of the cold one drama that you've been through, because if I had told you from the start, then you would not have been able to fall under his spell, because once a mate bond is initiated, there's nothing that can come between it, and where you didn't know anything about the supernatural or soulmates or anything like that, we didn't even initiate the bond for you because being human you don't automatically feel it the way a supernatural would."

"How do you initiate it?" She asked curiously.

"we would have to mark each other, and where you didn't know that I was a vampire, I didn't want to do it without your consent, so that's why I just didn't back then."

"When you say mark each other, you mean like biting each other?"

He grinned at her, "essentially yes, I would bite you drink a little of your blood and then you, would do the same to me in return and it would initiate the bond."

She nodded and turned to look into his eyes, "and what if I said that I wanted to do it?"

He grinned at her again, and pulled her more onto his lap by her legs, "well then my darling Isa, I'd happily oblige to that." they may have been broken up for almost two years but it was like nothing had changed between them. "are you positive about this Isa, because once we initiate the bond there's no going back." he trailed his finger up the side of her neck where the mark would be.

She shivered at the feeling, "I'm sure about this Rai... nothing has ever felt more right." and that was true it felt right to her, like the most natural thing in the world. "I want to do this Rai."

He nodded, and lowered his head towards her neck, "last chance to change your mind Isa." he was giving her one last chance to say no.

"I want this Rai." She stood firm on her decision to initiate their bond.

His lips brushed against her neck, making her shiver again it had been so long since she'd had any kind of contact like this since Edward basically refused to touch her, knowing what she knows now she's glad.

He kissed her neck for a moment, preparing the area for the mark. Isa bit her lip at the feeling, she instinctively tilted her head more for him. veins crawled up his cheeks as his fangs extended, and he bit into Isa's neck, drink a little bit of her blood.

Isa felt almost like an instant feeling of euphoria when he bit her neck, she let out an involuntary soft moan, as her eyes rolled back, before he pulled back running his tongue over the mark soothing it.

Only halfway through the initiation process and Isa could feel the bond taking root, she shuddered at the feeling, her eyes were slightly dilated but that was normal with this process. He kissed the mark once more before pulling back smirking seeing the look on her face.

"halfway done my darling Isa... now it's your turn." she adjusted her position on his lap to give herself better access to his neck, she decided to tease him just a little bit, she started under his jaw and kissed down to his neck, in the same spot that he'd left his mark on her.

His grip on her waist tightened slightly at her teasing kisses, before he let out a soft groan as she hit the spot she was going to be marking, she lavished a bit of attention there before she finally but down on his neck.

He inhaled sharply, as she kept going until the mark was completed, they both moaned, the moment the bond snapped into place.

He stared into her eyes, watching as they evened out and were no longer dilated now that the bond was initiated.

I know this was a little fast but like I don't do slow burns very well I've tried and it's not my style so Isa I'm going to be calling her that from here unless it's Edward or Alice talking about her, she knows the truth now and they've initiated the mate bond but not completed it yet.
