Part Twenty Four: Thaare Jaisa Na Koi (Nothing Compares To You)
Wednesday 6 May 2017
3pm - The Retreat, Shimla
Ishita
Ishita looked around the luxuriously appointed room, and smiled at the eager looking young woman who had just ushered Mihika and her to their cottage.
"I hope you like it ma'am. It used to be the Managers cottage, so its bigger than the guest cottages. But all the guest cottages have been changed. They are super luxurious now, just like this. Well, all except one. Mr Bhalla wouldn't let the decorators change your cottage. The one where the two of you stayed. Even the furniture. He said to leave everything as it is. And he is staying there now. I'm so happy for you ma'am. I really cant believe it. It's just too romantic. And to imagine ma'am, that I introduced you. I mean I put you two together in the cabin, you didn't even know each other then...."
Ishita smiled again at Mona's enthusiasm, her smile changing to a puzzled look as she saw the incredulity on Mihikas face.
"Yes you did Mona" she said, turning her attention back to the girl. "And thank you so much for coming back here at such short notice to help with our wedding."
"Mr Bhalla has kept us all on salary ma'am" Mona replied happily. "We are all just waiting for the Retreat to open again. We were so happy that Mr Bhalla bought this place ma'am. So many people would have lost their jobs if he hadn't, and to imagine he's kept on paying us all, all these months while the refurbishment has been taking place. All the staff here just worship him. He is such a good man ma'am. You're so lucky."
"Yes, I am" Ishita said thoughtfully. "I am"

"I'll take your leave ma'am. Please call me if you need anything at all. We are doing the decorations for your mehendi and sangeet function now. Mr Bhalla's PA is organizing everything. She's super efficient ma'am. Ok ma'am. Bye ma'am'
Mona included Mihika in her smile and then departed, leaving the two sisters together.
"Miku, what's the matter?" Ishita looked at her sister curiously.
Mihika had been standing with her mouth agape for a while now, staring at her sister as if she had seen a ghost.
"Akka" she whispered. "What was that Mona shona saying? You met Mr Bhalla for the first time when you shared a cottage with him? Here? But that was barely 2 weeks before you went to Sydney? I thought you must have known him for a while, to have fallen in love with him, and to... you know. But.... but if you met him here, when you came to Shimla, that means you only knew him for two weeks and....You wouldn't even go on holiday with Subbu when he wanted you to, and you knew him for ten years. You told me before that no one forced you, but akka, how did you..."
Ishita looked at her sister in bemusement.
"Raman didn't force me into anything Miku. I may have only known him for two weeks but I fell in love with him. And I told you about what happened. Woh mandir mein. Mein usko apna sab kuch maan chuki thi. Subbu... I cant even remember Subbu. I thought I loved him, I cried so much when he left me, but Miku, its when I met Raman that I realised ... ki pyar kya hai. Mujhe kuch galat nahi lag raha tha. Raman ke saath cottage share karna toh majboori thi, koi alternative nahi tha, lekin uss ke baad jo bhi hua, I wanted it Miku. Kuch galat nahi tha."
( Raman didn't force me into anything Miku. I may have only known him for two weeks but I fell in love with him. And I told you about what happened in the temple. I considered myself married to him in my heart. Subbu... I cant even remember Subbu. I thought I loved him, I cried so much when he left me, but Miku, its when I met Raman that I realised just what love was. I didn't consider my actions to be wrong. Sharing a cottage with Raman was forced on me yes, there was no alternative. But I wanted everything that happened afterwards. I wanted it Miku. There was nothing wrong.)
"But akka, it's so unlike you. I mean, I just assumed things because you never told me the whole story. And you were in so much pain, I didn't want to pry. I will always support you akka, but I have always hated what the man whom you loved did to you. But now you're getting married to him and for your sake, I want to understand. I want to know what happened akka."
Ishita took her sisters hand, pulling her down on a sofa beside her.
"I'll tell you now" she said. " Ab woh phir mere paas hai, toh ab mein tumko sab kuch bata sakti hoon." (Now that he is with me again, I can tell you everything)
Raman
Raman looked around the cottage in satisfaction. Nothing had changed. He had specifically instructed that the cottage be left the way it had been when they had stayed there together. And as per his instructions, the two bedrooms had been left intact, and not merged into one larger room as in the other cottages. Even the narrow beds were the same.
He sat down on the bed in the room he had occupied earlier.
They had made love here, on this very bed. He closed his eyes, his senses reeling as memories of the passion of that night came flooding back. Her shy smile when he gave in to her entreaty, her eyes shining with wonder at his gentle touches. And then her face contorted in ecstasy at the pleasure he gave her, parted lips inviting his kisses. The sweet taste of her mouth, the heady fragrance of her skin. Those coal black lashes fanning closed eyes, the crimson blush on her cheeks. The gasping breath, the soft moans that escaped her at his fervent touches. He could still feel her, the satiny silk of her skin, could still taste the sweetness of her lips.
Tomorrow night she would be his legally wedded wife. Mrs Raman Bhalla. She would be in this room with him. And he would have to exercise every bit of self restraint to stay away from her.
She was so beautiful. And she was in so much pain. He had to do whatever he could to erase that pain. Life in his family's home would not be easy, what with papaji's attitude. And then there was Adi. And Shagun.
He sighed out loud, a frown creasing his brow at the thought of his ex wife. Well, he had tried to resolve that issue. He had thrown the bait. And if he knew Shagun, the bait would be taken. He leaned back against the bedstead, forcing himself to stop thinking of his night with Ishita, forcing his mind to far more unpleasant thoughts. His meeting with Shagun the day before, to be precise.
"Flashback
Tuesday 2 May 2017"
"Why did you call me here?" Shagun demanded as she walked into Raman's office, taking the chair opposite him.
Raman continued to stare at the screen of his laptop, willing himself not to lose his temper, to accomplish the goal that he had in mind. He counted silently to ten and then looked up at his ex-wife.
"Because I dont talk business at home, that's why."
"Aaj kal home mein rehte kahan ho? Aur jab aate ho toh tension mein rehte ho. Aur ab mujh se business ki baat karni hai? I'm intrigued. Aakhir aisi kya baat hai." Shagun smirked as she lounged back in the visitors chair, insolently looking Raman up and down.
(When are you even at home these days? And when you are there's tension in the air. And now you have business with me? I'm intrigued. Just what could it be?)
He was looking so damned sexy. That taut trim body, that determined chin, those sensual lips. She had made the wrong choice years ago, leaving him for Ashok. Raman had been crazy about her then. Hanging on her every word. Following her around like a puppet. He had gotten on her nerves. But then, he had looked nothing like this then. He had been just an overweight rough looking boy, with those ugly thick glasses, and a body that repulsed her.
But just look at him now. He was one of the hottest men in Delhi. And one of the richest. And she couldn't have him. She had tried. In the past nine-ten months, she had used Adi to try and get closer to him. Even after he had bluntly informed her that he had no intention of getting back together with her, had lied to her to get her to agree to a divorce. He had managed to develop a relationship with Adi independent of her, and the only looks he ever gave her were withering, dripped in loathing. And of late, he was completely impervious to her. It was as if she didn't exist for him anymore.
That's why she was so astonished to get this summons from him. To meet him in his office. Something was up with him, that was obvious. There were so many whispered conversations happening in the house which she hadn't been able to overhear. She had seen how worried Toshi Bhalla looked and the anger on old Mr Bhalla's face. She had snooped around, but had not been able to find out what the matter was. But now that Raman himself had called her, maybe she would find out now just what was going on.
"So?" she repeated, not liking the cold disgusted look he was giving to her. "Dont waste my time. Tell me".
Raman gave a cold laugh, wondering once again just what he had ever seen in this shallow vicious woman. He had been young, dazzled by her fake glitter, but the knowledge that he had once touched her repulsed him beyond words.
"Waste your time? What do you do anyway Shagun, apart from your parties and your beauty parlors. But I have to give you credit where it's due. You're right, something is up with me. But its something that is my business, my family's business. The only reason you know about it is because you are in our home. And I'm getting tired of having you in my home and in my space. I want you to leave."
"Leave?" Shagun laughed out aloud. "Of course I can leave. But if I do, Adi will come with me, and you know that."
"I have Adi's custody Shagun. I can use the courts and bailiffs to kick you out and keep my son."
"Yes you can, but then your son will hate you for ever. Aur tum yeh toh nahi chahte honge, kyun Raman?" ( And you don't want that to happen, do you Raman?)
"You're right Shagun" Raman looked at his sons mother in disgust. " Adi will hate me and I don't want that to happen. You've brainwashed and manipulated him for so long that it will take a little while longer for Adi to come out from your influence. But there is a way that Adi can stay with me and not hate me like you've taught him to. And that's if you tell him to stay with me while you move out of our lives."
Shagun laughed again. Whatever was going on in Raman's life must have made him delusional.
"You're mad. Why on earth would I do that?" she asked incredulously.
Raman stood up and moved around to Shagun's chair.
"For money Shagun" he pointed a finger at her diamond pendant, her matching earrings, her expensive designer bag. "The things you need in life cost money and Ashok's presents are getting old now. You have nothing now, you're living on my charity. I'm offering you enough money to set yourself up in style. As long as you leave me and my son alone. Name your price. Not right now, I want you to think about it carefully. You won't get an offer like this twice. And yes." He picked up an envelope from the table and tossed it to her. "This is a sample of my goodwill, to show you just how serious I am. Tickets for two to Paris. Business Class. Accommodation at the Ritz. In a luxury room. And spending money. Your flight leaves tomorrow and returns in two weeks, after Adi gets back. Take a friend. Or your latest toyboy. Just go."
"Paris" Shagun squealed in excitement, grabbing the envelope and tearing it open. "Ashok always promised to take me. I can't believe this."
"Wahan jao. Aish karo. Lekin haan, wapas aake mujhe apna jawab bhi de dena. Tell me just what your price is Shagun"
(Go to Paris. Have a great time. But yes, give me your answer when you get back. Tell me just what your price is Shagun)
"Why do you keep talking about price? I'm not for sale" Shagun shoved the Paris tickets into her handbag as she got up to leave.
"Oh yes you are Shagun" Raman laughed as she reached the door. "That was decided a long time ago, when you sold yourself to Ashok. Right now, we are just negotiating your price."
And he laughed as she stalked out of the door.
"Flashback ends"
Shagun had taken the trip, as he had known she would. Her greed, her avarice, was second to none, and no taunt from him would be enough to stop her from grasping at such an expensive gift.
He had had to throw around a bit of money to get her trip organized so quickly, but it was money well spent. Because it meant that Shagun would not be around when he took Ishita home.
Adi and his papaji were another issue, but Adi and papaji did not have Shagun's viciousness. They may be unpleasant to Ishita, but at least she would be safe. He had not been able to tell Adi about his wedding, or to invite his son, because he knew that the news would be relayed straight away to Shagun. He would have to deal with Adi when the time came. But for now.... He swung his feet onto the floor, reaching for his suitcase, his thoughts drifting back to Ishita.
He had barely spent any time with her this week. She had been busy with Mihika on Tuesday doing her shopping and preparations. And today, Mihika had monopolized her attentions on the plane and the journey to the Retreat.
And then, he had also been busy. He dug into his pocket, bringing out the jewellers box he had been keeping since yesterday. Her wedding and engagement rings. Classic diamonds, subtle like her. And a mangalsutra. He wanted her to have all the trappings, all the symbols of marriage. He wanted her to revel in her new status, in being Mrs Bhalla.
He wondered what she was doing right now. He wanted so much to see her, to reassure her, to make sure she was not nervous, was not thinking herself a burden on him again. But he knew she would be with Mihika, and he wanted to give her space. Today was their last day apart anyway. Tomorrow, she would be his forever.
He looked at his watch. It was almost four pm. The sangeet and mehendi was at seven. There was time for a quick run, a quick trip down memory lane.
And so he opened his bag, selecting some casual clothes, glancing at his wedding finery as he did so. He needed to refresh his memories of his time in Shimla with her, before he made her his bride.
Ishita
"And that's how it was Miku" Ishita concluded to her stunned and silent sister. "We met here, we were together for two weeks, and when we parted, it was by my choice. Raman wanted to come to Sydney, lekin mein ne hi usse aane nahi diya. Galti meri thi, lekin mein ne sapno mein bhi nahi socha tha ki mein..ki mein ma ban sakti hoon. Itne dinon se baanj hone ki taane sun rahi thi Miku. I know...I know that what I did was out of character, but....uss se dur jaa rahi thi, uss ko apna sabkuch maan chuki thi, toh mein toh bas kuch....kuch yaadoon ko sametna chah rahi thi. Raman... Raman is a good man Miku. Tum please usse dosh mat do. Tum dono hi toh mere sabkuch ho. Kya tum mere liye Raman se dosti nahi kar sakti. Please Miku?"
(And that's how it was Miku. We met here, we were together for two weeks, and when we parted, it was by my choice. Raman wanted to come to Sydney but I wouldn't let him. It was my mistake but I never in a million years could have imagined that I would get pregnant. I had been hearing taunts for months that I was barren. I know...I know that what I did was out of character, but I was going away from him, I considered him to be my everything, and I just wanted some...some memories of him. Raman... Raman is a good man Miku. Please don't blame him. The two of you are my world, my everything. Can't you be friends for my sake? Please Miku?)
"Theek hai akka" ( Allright akka) Mihika nodded her head slowly. Her akka had acted completely out of character, but then, Raman Bhalla had a charm that was hard to resist. And her akka had fallen in love. Mihika knew that love wasn't rational, that hearts clouded by emotions could do things that the mind may not understand. What had happened between her akka and Mr Bhalla was as natural and as old as the universe. They had fallen in love. And just as she had never judged her akka, she had no right to judge Mr Bhalla too.
She looked at her sister's anxious face, and grabbed her hands. "Mein dosti karne ki koshish karoongi, akka. Mr Bha....Jeeju se" (I'll try and make friends with Mr Bha....with jeeju)
"Thank you Miku" Ishita gathered her sister to her heart in a hug. "Mujhe bahut accha lagega kanna. Accha sun" she pointed to the gardens beyond the cottage. "I'm so tired from sitting. In the car, then the airport, then the plane, then a car again. Let's go for a walk. Hmm?"
(Thank you Miku. It means a lot to me my dear. Okay, listen, I'm so tired from sitting. In the car, then the airport, then the plane, then a car again. Let's go for a walk. Hmm?)
"You go akka" Mihika shook her head in the negative. "I need to go and see what decorations this Mona and Sheena and all these girls have done. I'm sure it's all really gaudy Punjabi types of decoration. I need to make sure it's fixed before tonight. But akka, come back by six, okay. I need to make you look pretty for tonight."
"Mushkil hai, mujhe pretty banana, lekin theek hai, aajaongi." Ishita said with a laugh. She looked down at her pretty cream coloured Lucknowi shalwar kameez, one of the many outfits that Mihika had made her buy for the wedding. "Yeh chalega I think. Lekin mein shoes badal leti hoon. I'll see you Miku. Love you."
(It will be difficult to make me pretty but okay, I'll come back on time. I think this will do for the walk, but I'll change my shoes. I'll see you Miku. Love you)
"I love you too akka" Mihika replied softly, her eyes shining, as Ishita left the room to change her shoes.
It felt so good to see akka happy again, and if Raman Bha...jeeju. If jeeju could work this magic, then she could definitely try and be his friend.
An Hour Later
In the Gardens
Ishita had taken a leisurely stroll around the grounds, memories assailing her senses at every turn and nook. She had said hello to the gardeners busy at work in the grounds, had accepted their polite congratulations, had beamed with pride as they praised Raman's generosity to her.
She had met Raju as well, the young guide whose life Raman had saved, and he had told her how happy he and all the staff were for Raman and her, and how grateful they were to be invited to share in their marriage festivities.
She had not known that Raman had invited the staff to their wedding, and she was struck again at his thoughtfulness. She knew that he wanted to give her a big wedding celebration, the type every girl dreams of, but he was conscious of the fact that she did not want the scrutiny and curiousty of his high society acquaintances. And he knew how much the absence of both their families would be hurting her. So he had invited the staff and their families to attend their wedding and to give them their blessings. These were the people who had known them when they were discovering each other. Simple people who had no ulterior motives but would simply want to share in their happiness. They would not judge or condemn her.
Her eyes had been moist when she had taken her leave from Raju, continuing down to the slope at the edge of the Retreat grounds, from where there was a beautiful vista of the verdant forests where they had trekked together.
This area of the grounds was totally deserted, right at the edge of the formal grounds. There was no one in sight, no sound except for the chirping of birds, and the muted flutter of leaves in the gentle breeze.
There was a weathered wooden bench just below the top curve of the slope, visible only from the forest in front, but hidden from the grounds behind. She sat down on that bench, wondering at the beauty of her surroundings , and thinking of the man she loved, who would be publicly and officially joined to her in just a few hours.
He was her husband in her heart, but soon she would be able to claim him as hers before the world. Her impossible dream was about to come true and she wondered once again at the happiness that was beckoning after all the sadness she had endured.
Teri milti nishani kahin
Jo hai sabko dikhani kahin
Main toh jaanti hoon marke bhi
Tujhe aati hai nibhani kahin
Jag ghommiya thare jaisa na koi
Her eyes were closed, her face lifted to the sun, as she gave thanks for the blessings she was about to receive. And that was how he found her, a few moments later, returning from his hike.
She looked like an ethereal being, an apsara in her creamy shalwar suit, the lacy folds of her kameez billowing around her, her dupatta fluttering in the breeze. Her head was thrown back, face looking up to the sky. And she was wearing sneakers.
He laughed out loud at this anomaly in his apsara, and she looked around, startled, her worried look transforming into a shy smile when she saw who her intruder was.
"Raman, aap ne mujhe chauka diya. Aise kyun has rahe hai aap?"
(Raman, you scared me. Why are you laughing like that?)
He threw himself down on the grass at her feet, looking up at her, with a twinkle.
"Kyunki mein soch raha tha ki koi apsara baithi hai, aur phir mein ne dekha ki meri apsara ne sneakers pehna hai"
(Because I was thinking that an angel was sitting in front of me, and then I saw my angel was wearing sneakers)
"Am I looking really silly?" Ishita asked anxiously as Raman started to laugh again. "Mujhe fresh air chahiye thi aur bag unpack nahi kiya tha, isliye sirf shoes badal kar aagayi."
(Am I really looking silly? I needed some fresh air and I haven't unpacked my bag yet, so I just changed my shoes and came out)
He stretched out a hand towards her, his fingers trailing up to her face, the laughter dying on his lips.
"You don't look silly, you look beautiful. Meri pyari paagal madrassan." (My beautiful mad madrassan)
"Raavan" she whispered, her voice drying in her throat as her heart started to thunder uncontrollably. It was always the same - her reaction to his touch, the unquenchable need that even her fear could not disguise. "Bilkul nahi badle." (Raavan. You haven't changed at all)
He looked at her for a long moment, noticing her flushed cheeks, his own heart thundering in unison with hers. He had missed her so much, and he wanted her so much. They had their entire lives ahead of them, to love and cherish each other, but how would he stay away from her in the days to come, when she would be this close to him? He respected her strictures, understood her fears, but he had missed her so much, and he loved her so much.
She slid down off the bench onto the grass next to him, taking him by surprise as she eased herself into his arms.
"I'm sweaty baby" he protested, but only for a second, before he closed his arms protectively around her, her head nestled on his chest, her face veiled by her hair. He brought forward a shaking hand to sweep away the veil of locks, his fingers again trailing down her cheeks.
She shuddered, then captured his hand with one of hers, bringing it to her lips, kissing his palm reverentially.
"Aap itne acche kyun ho Raman?"
(Why are you so good Raman?)
"Ishita?" He lifted her head, dismayed at the tears that were flowing down her soft cheeks. "Kya hua meri jaan?" (Ishita? What's wrong my love?)
"Raju ne kaha. Aap ne sabko shaadi mein invite kiya hai?"
(Raju said you've invited all the staff to our wedding?)
"Tumhe accha nahi laga kya?" He should have asked her, he realised that now. She had said she didn't want anyone, he shouldn't have been so presumptuous. "I'm sorry jaan, mein..."
(Is that a problem for you? I'm sorry my love, I...)
"No Raman" She threw her arms around him, holding him closer, hiding her face in the nape of his neck. "Mujhe accha laga. Bas aap itne acche hai, sab ka kitna khayal rakhte hai, aur..."
(No Raman. I think it's a wonderful thing to do. You're so good, you take care of everyone, and...)
"Kuch nahi hai yaar " (It's nothing yaar ) he murmured, embarrassed.
"Aur Mona ne bataya ki aap ne saare staff ko abhi bhi salary pe rakhaa hua hai"
(And Mona told me you've kept all the staff on salary while the resort was closed)
"It's just an investment jaan. I'm a businessman and it's just good business." he murmured again.
She shifted out of his arms, cradling his face in her hands. "No it isn't just business. You really care about people. Nobody does this Raman. You're... you're such a good person. And I'm so lucky. I'm so lucky."
"I'm the lucky one" he protested, his eyes meeting hers, his pesky heart skipping a beat at her proximity. He bit his lips, desperate to kiss her, but not willing to disrespect her rules.
Ishita could feel his heart beating as rapidly as hers, could feel his body tremble beneath her touch. She could see the deep love mixed with desire in his eyes, and she knew the enormous self restraint he was exercising. Because she had asked him to. He always put her needs first. She was truly lucky, and she wanted him to know just how much she loved him, how much she appreciated him. She was scared of resuming a physical relationship, yes, scared because the consequences of their earlier passion had broken her and shattered her. But she wanted to fight her fears. She wanted to bridge the gap between them, to start the healing that both hearts and bodies needed.
She wound her hands around his neck, her forehead resting against his, noses pressed, lips mere millimeters apart.
"Ishita?" His whisper was a question and she acquiesced with her eyes.
"Oh baby" he sighed, his lips settling on hers.
He felt her stiffen but she did not draw back, her arms tightening around him, a sigh escaping her as she opened her lips.
And then a voice shattered their seclusion.
"Bhai where are you? Look who is here. Raju said he saw you coming up here. Bhai?"
She drew back swiftly, getting to her feet as Mihir's voice approached closer.
"Mein....woh,....Mihir....." She gave him a shy smile and then ran away down the path, as he got slowly to his feet, watching after her, frustration wrestling with an inordinate happiness.
Ishita ran swiftly down the path, giving a quick smile to Mihir and the young couple with him as she sped away.
"Bhabhi" Mihir tried to call out, but she had dissapeared before he could finish calling her. "Looks like we came at the wrong time" Mihir grinned at his companions, even as Raman appeared at the crest of the slope.
Raman looked at Mihir and his companions curiously and then started striding faster as he recognized them.
"Romi, Rinki?" He stopped in front of the trio, who were grinning from ear to ear. "Tum log yahan?" (Romi, Rinki, what are you doing here?)
"Sorry bhai" Romi said with a grim. "Kya humne aap ko disturb kiya? Bhabhi toh badi changi hai"
(Sorry, did we disturb you bhai? Bhabhi is very pretty)
"What are you doing here Romi? Rinki?" Raman repeated.
"Papaji ne aane ko kaha bhai. Toh hum aa gaye."
(Papaji told us to come. So we came)
"Papaji ne?" Raman asked incredulously.
"Haan bhai. Aaj aap chalegaye airport ke liye toh papaji ne kaha ki aap unki izzat kare yaa na kare, lekin aap hamaare bade bhai hai aur humme aap ki izzat karni chahiye toh bas, hum ne flight catch kiya aur aa gaye. Lekin wapas hum private jet mein jayenge, please bhai?"
(Yes bhai. After you left for the airport this morning papaji said that whether you respect him or not, you were our older brother and we needed to respect you and attend your wedding. So we caught a flight and came. But bhai, we'll go back in the private jet please)
"Haan, haan theek hai" Raman looked at Romi thoughtfully as he spoke wondering just what had led to his fathers change of heart. He suspected his mother had something to do with it, but whatever the reason, at least his sister and brother were here to join in his joy. "Tumhe tumhaare rooms mil gaye?"
(Yes yes fine. Did you get your rooms?)
"Haan bhai. Lekin mein ne Sheena se keh diya ki mujhe akele nahi, bhabhi aur uss ki behen ke saath share karna hai. Mein jaa rahi hoon, bhabhi ke paas. See you later." Rinki chirped happily before running away.
(Yes bhai, but I told Sheena I'm not staying alone, I'm sharing with bhabhi and her sister. I'm going to go meet bhabhi now. See you later)
"Aap bhi chaliye bhai. Taiyaar bhi hona hai. Aur yeh Romi aa gaya, toh practice karlete hai warna sangeet mein hamari naak kat jayegi. Mihika is a very good dancer."
(We need to go too bhai. You need to get ready too. And it's good Romi is here. We can practice so at least we won't lose face at the sangeet. Mihika is a very good dancer)
"Toh hum bhi kisi se kam nahi" (So what, I'm no less than she is) Raman said with a laugh, as the three men made their way to their accommodation.
"Aap dance karenge bhai?" Romi exclaimed with an incredulous laugh.
("You'll dance bhai?)
"Just wait and watch" Raman replied. "Just wait and watch".
