𝟎𝟖.

(𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐒)

Wednesday morning, I had English for the last period, and I wanted to arrive early since I was tired of hearing Joshua trash me about how I only have one new friend.

The truth is that I like it that way; I'd rather have a small and genuine group than a large and phoney one like many others.

I put my hand on the handle before hearing something I'd only ever hear from a boy's computer at the library.

They were mostly muffled groans, but I'm sure some female is receiving a little too much attention. I couldn't care less if it was a teacher or a student. I did care about interrupting and blinding my eyes, which would later have to be bleached away.

I let go of the handle and returned to the boys strewn across the bleachers.

"Look she's back," Tristan mutters with a teasing smile.

I take a seat next to Chase, who wraps his arm around my shoulder but doesn't take his gaze away from his phone for even a second.

"We're going to the beach this evening, you mind tagging along?" Joshua questions.

"Sure, can I ask Tabitha to join so I won't be alone with three boys half-naked,"

"Sure but Jada is also coming so you'd be alone with two girls and three boys half-naked," Tristan chimes in and I roll my eyes.

"She was invited before me?" I question. Chase shushed me before removing his arm from my shoulder.

"Don't get all resentful on me, she was the one who invited us," He mutters as I narrow my eyes at him.

"Firstly, I'm not getting resentful and lastly, why didn't you tell me you were going to the beach with another girl?" I question.

"We'll simply sit in another location," Tristan mumbles as he drags Joshua over nearly eight seats.

"We're just going to hang out, and she also invited those two doofuses so it's nothing,"

"That's not the point," I bicker.

"Then what is the point huh?" He retorts.

"You're going to go "hang out" with this girl I've only known for a week and if it weren't for Joshua you probably would've gone and not say a word about it,"

"My bad, I didn't know I had to tell you every single action I do, here look I'm drinking water," he mutters before picking up his water bottle and taking a sip.

"Oh fuck off," I grumble. He places the water bottle down after twisting the cap back on.

"You don't even have to come," he provokes.

I scoff lightly before swinging my bag over my shoulder as I stand up, "Fuck you because I am coming,"

I don't wait for him to react; instead, I return to the building and go to the restroom, where my breathing quickens as I shakily push open the door.

I drop my bag onto the floor, something I know I'll regret later, I close my eyes tightly, taking in a shaky breath.

As my chest tightens, my hands clutch the counter in an attempt to keep them from shaking. I concentrate on my breathing before gradually releasing the counter.

After hearing some shifting from the centre stall, the quiet in the restroom is no longer so silent. I don't know many people here, so I couldn't care less if they found out I was having an anxiety attack. However, the females at this school are excessively gossipy.

I watch in the mirror as the door to the stall behind me opens slowly, "Oh thank God it's just you," Tabitha says releasing a breath of relief.

I turn to face her before offering her a tiny smile; her generally straight hair is a little fussy, and her outfit is crumpled. I'd think she'd just gotten out of bed if I didn't know any better.

"Have you heard that they installed cameras last week?" She questions as she walks over to the counter.

She pumps the dispenser twice before rubbing her hands together. "Yeah I have heard, I wonder why though," I mutter and she shrugs.

"I don't know much about it either," she mutters and I nod.

She washes her hands before pulling two paper towels out the dispenser to wipe her hands."Hey, do you want to hang out with me and the guys at the beach?" I question.

"Are you sure that wouldn't be awkward?" she asks, her eyebrow elegantly raised as tossing the tissues into the garbage.

"I mean you'll be with your boyfriend and I'll be there with two other guys I hardly know," she chuckles.

"No, another girl's coming, we'll all be together," I tell her with a smile as I cross my arms over my chest.

"Sure, I guess I'll see you there, just send me the address," she says before heading for the door of the bathroom.

"Actually just let me drive you, we can go to my house, I have some swimsuits I've never worn before you can take one if you like," I say and she turns to me with a small smile.

"Sure, see you in class," she mutters before opening the door.

"See you in class as well," I repeat before she walks out, allowing the door to slowly close itself.

"This is where you live?" Tabitha questions, her voice laced with amusement.

"Yeah," I say bluntly as I enter the house. I slip my shoes off before closing the door behind her.

I walk over to the staircase before looking back at her, she's spinning her around looking at all the decorations and interior of the place.

"Are you coming?"I question redirecting her attention towards me. She goes towards me, and I walk up the stairs before turning right and walking down the corridor until we come to a halt in front of a white door.

I open the door before entering my bedroom; the walls are white, and the space above my bed is light grey, which complements my grey bed frame and sheets. Lights dangle from the ceiling, and the television is positioned on the wall a few feet from the foot of my bed.

My desk is located under the television, and it houses my computer as well as a few other school-related objects. My walk-in closet is to the left of my desk, and to the right is a separate section with the bathroom.

My walls are mostly dull, although I do have light grey drapes and a few images of my parents, relatives, and old friends on them since I had started dating Chase, everyone stopped talking to me, and I've always wondered why, but I can't live in the past forever.

"Is your room always this big?" she questions.

"Yes," I answer more in a questionable way, does she think the room can retract itself.

"The clothes on the right are stuff I haven't worn, you can shuffle through and see what you'd like," I say.

She nods before opening the doors to the closet, I place my bag onto my chair before heading into the closet where Tabitha is.

"You haven't worn this coat?" She questions with a slightly raised brow.

"Yeah, I don't think it's my colour, you can have it if you want," I mutter. Her jaw drops and she looks at me with a blank expression.

"This is Louis Vuitton,"

"Okay, now it's Tabitha's," I chuckle as I shuffle through the clothes looking for an outfit to wear.

"I couldn't take this," I hear her mutter and I groan.

"Just take it, it'll just collect dust in my closet," I say.

She nods before finding a swimming suit it was too big for me since I'd lost so much weight, but I think I'd fit her perfectly.

Her hips are broad, her breasts are a little larger than normal, and her waist is just the right amount dipped. She embodied the perfect physique that every female, including myself, would kill for.

"Are you good, you've been staring at me for a good minute,"

The voice knocks my thoughts out of my head before I look at Tabitha, I give her a small smile, "Yeah, I'm fine," I mutter.

"We should hurry before they start questioning where we are," I state and she nods.
