(𝐍𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍)
Saturday speeds around fast and I'm shopping for a house party with the one and only Joshua.
"What do you think about Olivia and Chase?" He turns to face me after asking his question.
"What about them?" I question, looking up at the different types of chips.
"Do you think they ever you know,"
If you are thinking about sex; they didn't. Chase wouldn't stop gloating about it if they did.
"Joshua, I don't know," I say, slightly rolling my eyes.
"And stop asking questions about their relationship, Chase is starting to think you like her or something," I mutter before grabbing a bag.
"This should be good?" I question and he nods.
We walk over to the drinks before he asks another question that makes me want to punch him square in his jaw.
"Would you ever date Olivia?"
"Can we stop talking about Olivia, does everything need to be about her?" I question, more than slightly irritated.
"I'm just asking, calm down," he mutters causing me to roll my eyes once again.
"I'm just tired of hearing about her and her voice, her fucking laugh can we just stop talking about her?"
"No one's talking about her voice or laugh," Joshua utters.
"Joshua shut up,"
Joshua looks at me slightly confused by my statement. But even if he asked, I couldn't tell him why I despise her with a burning passion.
"Just focus on the party tonight?" I tell him. He shakes his head before nudging my shoulder.
"Let's get the stuff," he says and I nod.

"Is everything ready?" Chase questions, I ignore him. I'm still off about him playing this stupid song with Jada whilst he has a girlfriend.
Jada is two years younger than us, and a senior in high school, he does this all the time.
I know Jada will be his next girlfriend, but she doesn't plan on attending our school, so he'll most likely dump her and stick with Olivia.
"Not yet," Joshua tells him and he nods before walking over to me. He nudges me slightly, earning my attention.
"Olivia is coming tonight,"
Great
"Tonight is the night it happens," he says.
I look up at him with a raised eyebrow.
"You're going to let her first time be at a house party?" I question.
"Yeah, why not I've done it at house parties plenty of times," he mutters and I roll my eyes.
"Not only are you going to be her first but you want to have her lose it at a house party?" I question.
He wasn't going to. He always swore he wanted to break someone's virginity, but he never did. He's not that cold-hearted.
"Why wouldn't I, it's been a year and I've done nothing with her, I was patient but then Jada came around," he starts, causing me to roll my eyes.
"My gosh," I sigh.
"What?" he says, raising his shoulders as if I'm being ridiculous. "I was patient,"
"How long, Chase?" I question. After recognizing how concerned I am by this, I instantly decrease my tone.
Chase had dated several girls, and I had never approved of his cheating methods, but I never intervened since I didn't care enough.
"Like two months after we got back together," he mutters causing me to scoff.
"You practically begged her to return to you, and when she did, you cheated again because she doesn't want sex with you," I scoff. His mouth drops open, but the doorbell rings before he can say anything. I push past him, intentionally shoving his shoulder with mine before proceeding to the door.
I open the door before having the desire to close it again. "The party hasn't started yet," I say.
"Chase told me to come over early," Olivia says with a small smile.
Of course, he did.
"Right," I mumble as she goes by. She's wearing a matching baby blue bucket hat to her skirt. Her clothing is white, and she wears gold jewellery. I'd always like her sense of style; she wasn't like the other females Chase had brought over.
I walk back to Chase and sit across from him and Olivia. They're being too clingy. That is something you rarely see.
Soon Joshua comes into the room. "The party is set, we just need the people now," he says.
"I'll text some people and let them know," Chase says.
Chase gets up after a while of sitting in the living room and leads Olivia up the stairs. They weren't exactly on speaking terms, so I'm not sure how he twisted his way out of the problem, especially since it involved her sister.
Many girls are foolish, but I never thought Olivia was one, or even half as stupid as the ladies he dates; perhaps she's all book sense and no common wisdom.
We all knew something was up when Chase started hanging out with Kate, and even she suspected something was wrong. Kate had been Chase's girlfriend for two years before she left, but before she left, she shattered his heart and slept with his ex-best friend, or so he says.
He's never gotten over her, so when he brings a female over, I know it won't last. He also believes that younger females are more innocent and foolish, somehow he proves to us that he's right, because all of them end up in his bed at the end of the day, I won't lie I was kind of rooting for Olivia.
Joshua sits next to me before letting out a long sigh.
"Is he-"
"Joshua, do not start," I state slightly rolling my eyes.

A few minutes had passed and they were a few people who had come and were conversating, but Chase nor Olivia had come down yet.
I can't believe she'd let him do anything. Especially in this case. She may not be the best at thinking, but she must be aware that Chase's actual character is that of a cheater.
I impatiently twist my ring around my finger, while the girl in front of me twirls her hair around her finger and keeps patting my arm as if I'm a puppy with every word I say.
Before I can speak again, I hear loud steps bring my attention to the staircase.
Olivia first, but she completely ignored everyone and walked right out the door.
Chase comes down afterwards and earns many confused glances.
"Continue with the party," he grumbles before walking over to me.
"Hey beautiful," he speaks to the girl in front of me. Surprisingly she scoffs lightly before walking past the two of us.
"Seems like nobody wants to lay you down buddy," I joke. He grabs a solo cup, the colour pink.
"Chase no," I mutter and he rolls his eyes before pouring some vodka into the cup.
"If she doesn't do it someone else will," he mutters taking a sip before leaving the kitchen.
Fucking asshole, why am I even friends with him anymore, all I do is defend his ass.

I'm not sure how I wound up here, but I did. Perhaps because I didn't have to see Chase's betrayal with his girlfriend. I already knew he had done it, so I didn't need to see it for myself.
I didn't want to knock because her family didn't know who I was, so I climbed up to her window; it hurt like hell because of the incision that had been sewn into my side, but I did it anyway.
I knocked on the glass softly, hoping that she was actually in her room.
Surprisingly the glass slides open, I climb into her room before sliding back the glass. I turn to her to then realise her eyes are red.
Was she crying or is she high?
There's no smell of smoke in her room so I'll assume she was crying.
"Are you okay?" I question. She takes a deep breath before nodding.
Instead of turning around to leave, I pull her into my chest, surprising myself. I gently rub her head and I recognize that she hesitates to wrap her arms around my torso.
What the fuck am I doing?
"What happened?" I question and she shakes her head before muttering.
"I don't want to talk about it,"
I nod and rest my chin onto the top of her head waiting for her to calm down.
I'm not sure why I'm doing this; I missed the party to end up here, hugging Chase's girlfriend, who I keep claiming isn't my friend but I find myself worrying about her feelings, or perhaps I'm just trying to escape the guilt of knowing Chase is cheating. I'm going to go with the latter.
She sniffles gently before I feel her let go; I release her instantly, the room remains still, and neither of us dares to make eye contact.
"Why are you here?" She questions, finally looking up at me with a blank expression.
"You left early, so I came to check up on you,"
"You said it yourself, we're not friends and never will be, so read the room and leave," she replies coldly.
What the-fuck.
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings when I said that," I state and she shakes her head.
"You didn't, you were just about clear, now get out," she mutters.
I raise an eyebrow at her a low sigh from her.
"I want to be alone Tristan,"
Do you? Is what I want to say.
"Sure," I answer as I slide the glass. I jump out the window before sliding it back in, then climb down the rooftop before falling on the grass, which aggravated my injury.
I was mildly irritated with myself and Chase, but I let it go as I walked down the driveway and felt my hoodie draw me back.
"What are you doing on my property?" As they spin me around, a deep voice asks, and I immediately think it's her father.
"A friend of your daughter, sir," I stammer, somewhat mumbling at the sight of this man, who could easily beat my ass eight times over.
"Oh really?" He questions before pulling me towards the front door.
Oh fuck.
"I'm sure we don't have to go inside-" I get interrupted by a loud yell.
"Olivia!"
"Okay we're doing this," I mutter to myself as her mother looks over to us and I give her a small wave accompanied by a smile.
"Yes Dad," Olivia says as she walks down the stairs.
"Who's this?" Her dad questions from behind me as he pulls lightly on the hood of my hoodie.
I can tell she's annoyed in ten different languages.
"That's Tristan," she answers blankly.
"Tristan who?" He questions again and I can feel his grip tighten on my hoodie.
"Hendrix,"
"And why is he climbing out of my nineteen-year-old daughter's window in the middle of the night?" He asks again.
She hesitates to answer and that's where her mom chimes in.
"Good Lord, let the boy go," she states. She walks over to us and soon I feel his grip loosen before he finally releases me.
Olivia comes down the stairs completely and she rolls her eyes at me.
This could've been avoided if you let me stay. Is what I should say, but again I don't.
"Does Chase know about this?" Her mother asks.
"No," Olivia mutters slowly rocking back and forth.
"Olivia, are you cheating on Chase?" She questions.
"No," we both say in sync.
It's revolting that I can't bring myself to tell her that he's the one who's cheating; if I did, I'd be in the wrong, it's not my place. But Chase, must mature.
"You'll stay for dinner, let's get to know more about Tristan Hendrix," her father states and I mentally want to stab myself.
