One week and three hours. October twenty-second at exactly two forty-five pm is when Olivia gets discharged.
I told her parents I would go pick her up since they had to go to work. I also took Grace to her grandparents again so on her first day out she didn't have to take care of anyone else but herself.
This really shows how much they depend on Olivia, no wonder she seems so stressed sometimes.
I had become closer to the Garcia family in the week Olivia had been in the hospital.
I'd help her with her work, virtually. I'd make sure she'd eat properly and it was going fairly well. We agreed that she'd meet me outside so that's where I was.
I never understood Olivia as a person, I still don't think I do. but I've been meaning to talk to her about what happened at the beach.
But I didn't know how to bring it up and I didn't want to stress her out even more, but I can't help but think about it every minute.
The way how her legs were tightly wrapped around my waist, holding onto my shoulders tightly because she was afraid of going back under.
Our lips were less than an inch apart, I could feel her breath against my lips but it vanished when I remembered, she was kissing Chase minutes ago. Which reminded me, this was Chase's girlfriend.
A car horn knocks me out of my thoughts and I looked down at my watch. The small numbers tell me it's 2:44.
I lean against my car, pushing my hands into my pockets as I wait patiently for the younger girl to appear.
Just as the thought leaves my mind, I look up to see her running towards me, I'm assuming her parents got her stuff packed up since she was empty-handed, other than a small book with a pen attached to it.
I raise from my car before she jumps into my arms, her arms and legs wrapped tightly around me and I cross my arms over her back.
Her intoxicating scent swarms around me and it's totally different from when we were in the water. No trace of alcohol or smoke, it's faint and subtle.
"Thanks for picking me up," she mutters as I place her onto her feet.
I nod, "Since it's a Saturday and your parents are at work, what do you want to do on the first day of your release?" I question before opening the door for her.
She shrugs before taking a seat in the car, her right leg then the left, I close the door behind her then I make my way over to the driver's seat before getting in.
"I'm craving something other than vegetables and fruits," she mutters and I smile slightly as I buckle my seat belt before turning the key to start the engine.
"There's a really cool place just out of the city, we can go there if you want," I say and she nods.
I push down on the gas lightly allowing the sports car to take off at an accelerated speed.
"When'd you get a Porsche nine-eleven,?" She questions and I glance over to her.
"You actually know the car?" I question. I can't help but smile slightly.
"Yes, I know what car it is," she says playfully.
"My grandfather gave it to me," I say and she chuckles.
"So much for earning your own money," she teases. I playfully roll my eyes before glancing over at her.
"I earn all of my money myself, my grandfather is an exception," I say.
"Why's that?" She questions, her brow perfectly arched.
"Because he's my grandfather, that's like going to your grandmother's house and saying you ate before you came,"
She laughs lightly, her laughter fills my ears and I somehow end up smiling brightly.

It's crazy how we city people always go out of the city, but the truth is the city is not as it seems, it's noisy and busy most of the day, but at night the stars align above the city and the bright lights come together as one.
But out of the city, where Olivia and merely anyone at Grendale University lives, it's peaceful and calm. Nothing happens around there and nothing has happened since the nineteenth century.
I chew on the last fry before looking up at Olivia who's taking a sip of her milkshake.
"So what do you have planned for the day?" She questions chewing on the lightly salty fry.
"Well, I was planning on letting you decide," I say, dusting the small crystals of salt off my hands.
"Ohh," she mutters before picking up the fifth fry since she's gotten her meal.
The fry touches her lips and then she places it back onto the plate before sighing, "Sorry if I'm eating slow," she mumbles and I chuckle lightly before shaking my head slightly.
"It's fine, take your time," I say, slightly leaning forward in the red leather seats of the booth.
She's barely touched her food, a small bite from her burger and five-now six fries. She looks better than the first time she entered, I understood why she was struggling to eat and I wasn't going to force her to eat any faster than she was comfortable with.
I've never pried much to know about Olivia's life, merely because I never cared or so I thought. Her life isn't as picture-perfect as she made it to be, it seems that all I did was fuel her problems.
"How are you feeling?"
She looks up at me, slightly nibbling on her straw before giving me a small smile, "I'm fine, are you?" she questions, raising one of her eyebrows.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I mutter in a questionable tone.
"You seem different," she mutters quietly.
"More kind?" I question causing her to laugh lightly.
"Kinda,"
"Have you talked to Chase?" I question, she shuffles in her seat a little before her alluring brown eyes meet mine.
"No, I haven't," she mutters before chewing on a fry, her fingertips coated with a thin layer of iodized salt.
"He seems-worried,"
She raises a brow and scoffs a little. "I'm sure he can be worried about something else other than his ex-girlfriend," she says.
"Ex-girlfriend?" I question and she nods muttering a slight 'mhm' as she takes a sip of the milkshake that's partly melted by now.
"You didn't exactly make that clear to him," I mumble.
"I'm pretty sure I did," she says, a smile pulls on her lips exposing her pearl white teeth, all perfectly straight.
"When exactly?" I question, my eyes meeting hers again. Neither of us dares to look away as the next words leave her mouth.
"When we got the car, you might have been all high before I'm pretty sure, but I said, 'fuck you, you're a piece of shit, we're done,"
"Ah now that you say I think I can remember it," I joke and she chuckles lightly.
I shuffle in my seat a little before I look away from her, breaking our eye contact.
"I wanted to talk to you about something," she says before I can bring myself together to speak.
"What is it?"
She looks down a bit before shaking her head, "Never mind actually," she mutters quietly before taking a second bite out of her burger.
"Are you sure?" I inquire and she nods slightly.
"Positive,"

As we walk out of the diner, a familiar black BMW pulls into the parking spot a few spaces away from my car.
"Get in the car," I mutter quietly as I pull open the door. Without any questions, she takes a seat and I close the door just as Chase exits his car or should I say Josh's car.
I walk a bit closer to meet him, with my hands in my hoodie and we meet in the back of my car, his face is bright red and his fists are clenched.
Before I can speak he punches me causing my face to swing to the right, I move my jaw slightly with my hand.
"You only get one," I mutter before he pushes me back.
"I'm here worried about your dumbass while you're just hanging out with my fucking girlfriend," he questions shoving me back again.
"Why are you worried about me?" I inquire with a raised brow and he shakes his head which is followed by a low scoff.
He grabs my hoodie tightly before pulling me closer towards him, "Don't fucking play with me, Tristan,"
His eyes are bloodshot red and I instantly know he's high out of his mind. I grab his hand slightly before shoving it off of me.
"Have a great day," I tell him before I walk towards my door, I place my hand on the handle and before I can open it I hear Chase's voice again.
"Tell Rexi Liv I said hi," he says, somehow, I find my way over to him and before I can think clearly I punch him right in the jaw.
He grabs his jaw, and slightly rubs it before he spits out a bit of blood. "You really should come with a fucking warning label," I mutter before walking back towards the door.
I pull it harshly before taking a seat, I start the engine and pull out the spot. "What'd he say that got you so upset?" She questions.
"Nothing out of the norm,"

I lay my foot on the gas before taking a left turn into the city. I glance into the passenger seat to see the closed duffel bags I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this.
I didn't exactly know if I should, I could be sent back considering I had an injury but I'm low on money and I know this is a big hit.
I take a right into a sketchy building, I stop at a parking spot then push down the handbrake.
I grab the bag before swinging it over my shoulder, walking past the various people smoking, I clench my jaw before pushing the metal door.
I walk down the spiral stairs before walking toward Chris. "Hendrix, I thought you were dead," he remarks with a big smile on his face.
"Yeah last time you sent me out bleeding," I remark as he places his cigar into his mouth.
"What can I do for you?" He questions, I give him a blank expression and he shakes his head.
"No can do, that injury you have could put me in jail if you run out of her bleeding again,"
"Chris, I'm low on money, just tell me how much it is to fight Serpent," I say.
He gives me a sympathetic look and I roll my eyes. If he never wanted me doing this he should behave brought me here to fight after my brother got sent off.
"Fine, it's fifty thousand," he mutters.
"Do you have fifty thousand right now?" He questions.
I slide the duffel bag across the counter towards him, "A hundred, I thought it would've been higher," I remark.
"Low on money my ass," he remarks taking the duffel bag. I trust him with it, I trust him with my life, the same way my brother does.
"Go change and head over to the ring, you're up next, everyone chickened out after the first three rounds,"
I nod slightly before walking towards the changing rooms, I open my locker before changing into some loose shorts, and I pull my shirt over my head before slipping gloves onto my hands.
They don't normally accept walk-ins, but I'm not a walk-in and I definitely won't lose this like last time. He cheated and he knows it, so he definitely won't last this time.
