I had a great weekend with Tristan, but it was time to return to school on Monday. The fear of the day was compounded by the fact that I had to attend therapy today evening, which contributed to my nervousness throughout the day. I had decided to not put myself any further in the spotlight so I walked to class early.
I walk into the classroom of my favourite and most caustic English instructor, who has a great sense of hostility.
"Morning Mr Clarke," I mutter as I walk past him, quickly scamming the nameplate on his desk. Douglas Clarke. It's new but what an old person's name.
"Morning Ms Garcia, I'm glad to see you're back and well," he says and I nod as I walk up to the middle row of the room.
I take a seat next to where Tabitha normally sits. I haven't exactly talked to her in a while, but if we can't pick up from where we left off. I wouldn't consider us friends.
When the clock strikes ten, a cluster of students burst through the door before rushing towards their self-assigned seats.
"Hey," Tabitha says with a small smile before sitting next to me.
"I'm glad to see you're all back to yourself," she pauses before turning to me after shuffling with her bag.
"Sorry I didn't come by I didn't want to add to your stress levels, I know it can be difficult," she mutters and I nod.
"It's all good, I didn't really have much time either way," I tell her and she nods.
"Care to share Ms King, because my class started a minute ago," Mr Clarke questions. Tabitha chuckles for a slight second before shaking her head.
"Well keep your lips sealed until I tell you otherwise," he orders and I can't stop the temptation to roll my eyes.
"Yes sir,"

"Why are you sitting here?" Chase questions as he walks toward me on the bleachers.
I sigh and say, "Please don't talk to me right now." Because I didn't want to talk to him, I chose to sit on the other bleachers, but he makes my life a living nightmare.
"I'm asking a simple question," he states causing me to roll my eyes.
"If I throw a stick you'll leave right?" I ask sarcastically.
"Very funny,"
"I just want to talk to you," he says before sliding into the seat next to me causing me to groan lightly and shift over a bit.
"I'm really sorry," he says before placing my hand in his.
"Chase, I'm not buying your bullshit," I mutter before yanking my hand away from his.
"And this," I pause before gesturing between us. "Will never happen again," I don't wait for a reply, I just grab my bag and make my way off the bleachers.
As I walk into the building I see Tristan facing me, talking to a girl with long black straight hair, she holds a black Prada bag in her right hand and she stands with great posture.
Her figure is idle just like Tabitha's if not more. But from the way she twirls her hair around her index finger, I know exactly who it is.
Tristan's eyes meet mine causing her to look around, "Liv," she says, her voice lacing with excitement as she opens her arms to hug me.
"Katelyn," I murmur, giving her a one-sided hug.
"It's Kate, I've told you this like ten times," she states with a small smile after she pulls away from me.
"How are you and Chase?" She questions and I have to control myself from rolling my eyes.
"They broke up," Tristan says chiming into the conversation.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that," she says.
Her words seem so genuine and I shouldn't hate her as much as I do because I did help him cheat on her the same way she helped him cheat on me.
"It's fine, what are you doing back in town?" I inquire before crossing my arms over my chest.
"She's here on family business," Tristan mutters and I dart my eyes over to him.
I give him a questionable expression before she nods, "He's right, but I'll be staying for quite some time right," she says before nudging him.
"Yeah, she'll be here for a few months," he answers and I nod.
Great.
"I guess I'll see you around," I mutter.
Situations like this are the reason God created the middle finger.
Before Tristan or Katelyn can speak I head to my next class early.
But just like a few weeks ago, loud moaning comes from the classroom, which causes me to groan, some students are just too horny to go off-campus.
I turn on my heels and walk away from the situation, I'm getting tired of hearing moans from some students or even worse teachers, especially on my first day back.
After walking a bit I bump into a hard chest, I look up to meet dark eyes which are usually very bright. Dark circles surround his green eyes.
"Joshua, is everything alright?" I question but instead of an answer, I get nudged on the shoulder as he walks past me as though I was never there, to begin with.
He wasn't like that when he visited me.
Why the fuck is everyone acting so weird.
I follow closely behind him before placing my hand on his shoulder to turn him around, which I somehow successfully do. "Talk to me what's wrong?" I inquire and he scoffs lightly.
"Olivia please don't talk to me right now, I'm not in the mood," he says through clenched teeth which causes my heart to race.
He's never been angry towards me, he's normally friendly and the sweetest out of the group unless you've completely fucked him over.
Which I'm positive I did not.
I tilt my head to the side a little with a puzzled expression before nudging his shoulder.
"Come on," I push.
"For fuck's sake Olivia, leave me the fuck alone. just fuck off," he fumes before walking away from me alone in the empty halls.
I stand there for a good few seconds trying to figure out what just happened. I stop myself from allowing any tears to spill out of my eyes.
My heart beats through my ears and my hands tremble slightly as I take deep breaths to regular my breathing.
Some may call me stupid for having an anxiety attack after that, but Joshua's been one if not my only best friend for more than a year.
He's never yelled at me or gotten angry at me even when I do the most stupid shit, Joshua's the type of person who'll pick up a homeless person and try to take them home.
He's obviously not the smartest person but he is definitely one of the sweetest, so seeing him yell at me when I have no idea what I did. It hurt.
I finally pull myself together after a while before heading into the bathroom.
I wash my face off before drying my hands with a few paper towels, but just as I toss the papers into the trash I hear a movement from one of the stalls.
Soon the door swings open and Tabitha takes a deep breath. "You look like shit," I say causing her to jitter a bit.
She takes another deep breath when she realizes it's just me which causes me to chuckle.
"Are you okay though?" I ask her and she answers me with a small nod before she walks over to the sink.
"I'm so tired of college and I just got here," she mutters and I nod.
"Same, it's stressful and then Mr Clark is always on my ass," I tell her and she laughs.
"He's on everyone's ass,"
"Especially yours," I joke but suddenly she just stops doing everything she's doing and turns to look at me with a shocked expression.
"What do you mean by that?" She questions and I chuckle.
"I mean like today in class, 'would you care to share'," I say mimicking his voice.
"Ohh," she says before turning the water from the tap off, she grabs a few paper towels to dry her hand before tossing them in the trash.
"What'd you think I mean?" I chuckle and she shrugs.
"No clue," she mutters as she pushes the door to walk out, I follow behind her and she lets the door go, allowing it to close behind me.
"I'll see you later," I tell her and she nods.
"I can come to your house today right, we have to read ten pages of work for English," she says and I shake my head.
"I can't, I have therapy," I mutter causing her to chuckle.
"Later today though, I'll call you," I say and she nods.
